They forgot the most important use! It cures an infected tooth! takes the pain away because it kills the infection. One part HP to 3 parts water. I do 1 tablespoon HP with 3 tablespoons water. Swish around in the mouth as long as you can, twice. Do this once a day to kill the infection until it's gone. This gave me more time to get to a dentist. It also whitens teeth, and helps your gums.

Use with caution when cleaning the toilet. Many people use Clorox tablets (or other brand) in the toilet tank to keep the water clean. Some tablets contain bleach as an active ingredient. Adding hydrogen peroxide to the bowl, may produce dangerous fumes. Check labels on any tank tablets for ingredients.

Be careful when gargling/ swishing, brushing your teeth or using on peroxide on your body. I would gargle/swish a couple times a week to keep my teeth whiter and breath fresher. Well, after several months of this I started getting a rash on my hands and arms just like psoriasis. It was awful, I tried everything to rid this rash from my body. This rash lasted for months and I did not correlating the peroxide with my rash. People kept telling me your getting older your body is changing and I refused to accept that mindset. It just did not sound right to me I knew it had to be something I was eating or soap or laundry detergent, it just had to be something I contact with. What I did was I went back one year and listed everything I had changed in my life, that I had been in contact with or ingesting. I finally figured it must be the peroxide. I discontinued use and in 6 weeks most of my rash was gone. In 8 weeks weeks my rash was non-existent. I wanted to make sure that it was in fact the peroxide that was giving me the rash. I started back to my regiment of swishing with peroxide and within 7 days my rash was back and I immediately discontinued use and my rash took a bout a week and it was gone. It has been several years now and I have no rash, no reoccurrence at all and the only thing I did was stop using peroxide. I do not use peroxide at all and Im rash free. Your skin is an organ and your skin lets you know that your kidneys and liver are being over powered by a particular chemical that it cant handle. Listen to what your body tells you. Im not saying peroxide is bad, it has good uses but for me and Im sure for others we just can not tolerate that chemical in or around our bodies. I hope this information can help someone.

I’ve been worried since .. I’m stopping it ASAP.

@@dorisc.9073 Omg, I'm sorry you both went through that. As I kid I was given Naproxen for cramps, but on an undeveloped child, it can cause severe nerve damage. We know our body and we absolutely should continue to trust it.
I'm extremely sensitive to things as well, but one thing that never failed for me is brushing with baking soda 2-3 times a week (if i feel the need). That may be much safer than the hydrogen peroxide!

Although you (and other sensitive people) may have experienced a severe reaction to peroxide, it is one of the least toxic cleaning agents because the 'chemical' is simply water (H20) with an additional oxygen molecule (re: H202) ! I've stopped using toxic cosmetic, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and other personal cleansing agents, but I continue to use peroxide daily, as a mouthwash, because it's so non-toxic, pure, and (in my case) benign. Delicate plants and seedlings thrive on the clean, bacteria-free environment that it affords.

This is a good informative video. I would like to add that you should let viewers know that H2O2 even at 3% should never be used full strength on any skin surface especially sensitive tissue areas like the mouth, and ears. It can burn tissue if not diluted by at least 50%. As a nurse, I learned this from some plastic surgeons I worked with. I have also helped people heal non-healing wounds just by cleaning a wound twice a day with 50% H2O2 and water when their MD's kept telling them to use goopy, bacteria growing creams, and ointments that block oxygen from getting to the wound and impedes the healing process. Fallacy, antibiotic ointments are only good for about 15minutes then the antibacterial properties dissipate and the ointment becomes a medium for bacterial growth and they are petroleum-based which is unhealthy.

Ok, that's weird, because I've always poured a little onto my cuts directly from the bottle and never felt any burning. Fizzing at the wound site, but no burning or stinging. It just feels like cold water. Cuts healed fine and no scarring. Now the 5% solution I have, I mix 50/50 with H2O, but I generally use that for cleaning the kennels.

      Water is H2O.
      Hydrogen peroxide is H2O2.
The difference is that the skin on the outside of your body has a layer of already dead cells and are not affected by hydrogen peroxide, but with a small shallow cut or abrasion the extra oxygen atom combines with any germs or bacteria or blood cells on the surface and kills them. If it were a deep cut or abrasion and the hydrogen peroxide comes into contact with living skin cells and nerves you will feel it. Same when you bring it into contact with body cells with no layer of dead cells protecting it like your eyes and mouth and nasal cavities.
And that is with only a 3% concentration. Which is why you should dilute it even more if you use it in your mouth to whiten your teeth or freshen your breath. The saliva in your mouth and the mucus in your nose and the wax in your ears will provide some protection for short periods of time. But there is a reason why a dog will vomit when you get 3% hydrogen peroxide into its stomach and that is the irritation that tells its body to get it out.

My favorite way to use hydrogen peroxide is to apply it to blood either wet of dried blood. It will quickly dissolve the blood and get rid of a stain. Or I like to apply it to sores or infection on animal wounds . It works well on farm animals that have birthing fluids stuck to their hind endstoo.

This does not work on concrete. It only turns the blood black and sets the stain permanently. The Tucson Fire dept. loves to go around dousing blood stains on the sidewalk with this stuff and it is infuriating for those of use who OWN that concrete.

6:43 I can personally attest to this one. My grandmother's dog had gotten a hold of some rat poison she had placed in a closet that she thought was far enough away from the door for her small dog not to get a hold of. There were gaps under the door, but Kinnley got her front paw far enough in to get a hold of it. My grandmother called the vet and the vet told her to get peroxide into her dog to throw it up. I had to hold the pup with my legs, use one hand to hold her moth open, and use a needless injection tube to force it down, but it worked. My Granny and I were both glad I had randomly decided to stay the night that night, because there was no way she could have done all that with having knee surgery, and Kinnley lived another 3 years.

Careful not to swallow! After a thorough rinse, a quick second brush with Euthymol. I’ve had no new caries for thirty-five year’s, after an appalling early dental record. These buttons that are encrusted in dirt and especially those with gold plating can be cleaned up by removing the dirt, but not the gold with hydrogen peroxide.
The method is to take a cup of peroxide in a glass container. Heat it up in the microwave for about one minute. Take it out and drop your button in the heated peroxide. Wait about five minutes, then take it out and clean with a q-tip. Repeat if necessary.

Thanks for the info and great video. I clean my contact lens case by putting few drops in each side and let it set for a few minutes. Also have a baby bottle sponge cleaner we use in the kitchen sink to wash glasses and once a week I soak the sponge in an old coffee cup.

I use it to clean my teeth to remove calcium build up, by rinsing my mouth out then scraping the teeth where it foams, then use it mixed with a little baking soda as a toothpaste, makes the teeth pearly white. If you check tooth whitening products it contains HP

@@ttnnaples8060 your are right I stand corrected. it's plaque which In turn if not taken care of goes into your bloodstream through your gums and builds up in your arteries as plaque, thus causing heart problems in long run

@@johnrbrownjr7380 The plaque that builds up in your blood vessels does not come from anything absorbed by the gums or swallowed by mouth. It also is completely different from tooth plaque, which is a biofilm.

It’s also good for clearing a fish pond that has been treated with potassium permanganate. Water becomes crystal clear.

My Great Dane ate a whole big bag of Hershey kisses that my kids had left on the kitchen counter while we were out one night. No vets were open near me that late but I called the emergency number and they told me to give her HP. She vomited tinfoil wrappers and all.

Hydrogen peroxide mixed with baking soda works great to remove blood stains from clothes. Make a thin paste of peroxide and baking soda, apply to the blood stain, then let the mixture stand a few minutes before scrubbing the stained area with a soft, small brush - a toothbrush works great! Rinse in cold water before washing in the washer.
Make sure the material is colorfast before trying this. Try first in a non conspicuous area before using this paste.
I used this all the time for period blood stained underwear.
Blood stains always come out completely when the stain is fresh. For older stains, more scrubbing will be needed.

The writing in this video reminds me of the idiom of Troy McClure education films, made to be shown to the eager youth at Springfield Elementary School. "Hi, I'm Troy McClure; you may remember me from such education films as 'Fireworks: The Silent Killer', and 'The Amazing World of Zinc'!"
I can hear his voice in my head "but you don't have to worry anymore, Timmy, Hydrogen Peroxide is here to save the day!"

Wow, a ton of great uses! Not to take anything away from this great video, for ear wax buildup I started washing with an instant moisturizing body wash soap a few years ago. I no longer have an ear wax issue. My ears now automatically and periodically push out a bit of wax to the edge of my ear. And I had a wax issue: Once, in college a teacher told me to go to the doctor because I couldn't hear in class. The doctor flushed out a big wad of wax from my ears!

I had rusty looking stains in the bathtub. None of the cleansers worked. Then I tried hydrogen peroxide, undiluted and sprayed in the tub. A few minutes later it was pure white again. I was amazed.

In the aquarium hobby, hydrogen peroxide can be used to help remove nuisance algae from coral frags and aquascape. It is not an ideal solution. Preferably you would limit the factors that promote the algae growth, but while trying to accomplish that, any rockwork that can be removed can be sprayed with the peroxide to help break apart the algae for physical removal. Its a hammer method, it will also kill off any beneficial bacteria and copepods. And not every coral type can handle the procedure, but sometimes if the algae is that bad, it'll help get the tank looking clean instead of green.

I been using it my ears for many years anytime i get any head pressure or pain. Works great every time. I'm a smoker so i used to get sinus infections often. A little peroxide in the ears and steaming lavender oil extract kills any infection within a day or two. Haven't been sick in over 15 years(until covid).

I have lost a lot of teeth and too late found out that as soon as your tooth starts showing any signs of pain or looseness, start swishing full strength h2o2 between your teeth and lightly brushing with it. Made mine quit hurting and instead of coming out soon, have been staying for several years now. Edit: left off last 2 on h2o2, hydrogen pyroxide 3%, regular strength from Walmart type stores.

I had a tiny growth under my lip for years, in the last few months it had doubled in size. I thought it might be cancer. It never stayed in one place it would move around. For several days I rinsed my mouth with a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and equal parts water. After a few days of doing this the growth is gone. I also had a sore throat and after gargling it loosened the mucous around my tonsils. Great Stuff!
