My favorite part of Jojolion is when Araki was killed and replaced by a rock human and for the next few chapters the manga was written by Arocki.
Everybody gangstar til Arocki joins WWE.
mAKE THIS THE NEXT BIG JOJO MEME.
Basically every HB video
Its always been Arocki that's why he added pillar men to part 2 as a hint about his hibernations and eventually rock humans in part 8.

like how the rock humans are "what if the pillar man's race survived to the time of stands/they integrated into society as a greater scope force" fitting with the 7-8 universe being a exploration of the old universes ideas.
I think the universe getting reset and the universe of SBR and Jojolion created the Rock Humans as what Pillar Men MAY had become had Kars not defied fate with the Stone Mask.
@@PlanetZoidstar oh, not again. Erinverse is NOT SBRverse.
@@hiddenthunder1395 What's Erinverse?
@@PlanetZoidstar a universe at the end of part 6, named after Erin, Jolyne of that world.
@@hiddenthunder1395 I see. Well I never said they were the same universe.
My point is IF Araki had introduced the Pillar Men later on, maybe in Part 6, they likely would have been closer to the Rock Humans we got in Part 8. In Part 2 he was still deciding what Jojo was going to be and it wasn't till Part 3 it became more its own thing with fewer Hokuto No Ken homages.
2:08 will forever be indebted to Araki since he makes us say this seriously in conversation

Not necessarily relevant to the video but I think it's interesting to note that all of the main stand using villains of JoJo have abilities to manipulate fate. Dio can stop time to alter his fate, as well as being a vampire to unnaturally prolong his life. Kira uses Bites the Dust to create fates for other people, Diavolo can skip time and alter fate by changing destined events, Puchi creates a world where everyone knows their fate, President Valentine can redirect bad fates onto others using Love Train and use D4C to bring characters from other dimensions to subvert fate if he or someone else dies or does something else he doesn't want them to, and Toru can force bad fates on anyone who tries to attack them. This is kinda obvious but I think it's interesting, if a bit hard to explain.
And then there's kars honestly even though he doesn't have a power to manipulate fates.he does try to change/ defy it. You could argue that the pillar men's were always fated to go extinct however do to kars meddling he defies his body's limitation and tries to become God. Like dio and his vampirism
@@j3ssthealien283 ironically enough it was Kars himself that killed his race into extinction because they disagreed with him, also as aluded to in part 2 ending, it was the EARTH that sent Kars flying to space not Joseph.
Jojo's has always had a strong theme of fate being an important force of nature. It was most obvious in part 5 especially with rolling stones. There's always underlying themes of changing/subverting/accepting/denying in all parts though, so it makes sense that the main villain has the most relevance to that theme :)
@@roman108 I was about to say that. If I'm not wrong, a mysterious force or fate is mentioned in the monologue that happens while Joseph is getting launched into the Stratosphere.
@@roman108 exactly
One thing that should be noted about Tooru is that Araki has since introduction implied that Rock humans were since beginning or turned into parasites. They start their life as parasitoids for wasp untill they reach maturity, and after it they find a person whose life they can steal and leech as long as possible. Rock humans were always depicted acting in their self interest with no concern for others ( aside A. Phex brothers between each other ), and even in their love life were simply caring for their own satisfaction and showing minimal concern for their partners ( Dolomite treating her disabled girlfriend more like a very loved pet than his equal ). Being around Rock humans also brought misery to most they were around, even with Rokaka having horrifying side effects sometimes worst than the disease. Tooru as a main villain is the ultimate form of this parasitism, a person with no strong drive that still claws away everything from other with giving only the bare minimum if even that. His stand literally brings nothing but misfortune reflecting what Tooru does. This was exemplified in the scene where Tooru sees a wasp nest that stirs memories from his youth and proceed to eat them, wasp symbolizing nurture and he thanks them with death. The relationship with Yasuho was also based on exploitation since beginning even when he cared about her genuinely, he was still using her for mostly emotional satisfaction. In the end he did what parasite does best and tried to take even more, but doing so ended up giving someone else everything he had. I think this was what Araki was going for, but feel free to think and talk about it
What I find fascinating about Rock Humans as a concept is how they relate back to us as humans
Many like me don't consider rock humans inherently bad people and instead see them as being given the shorter end of the stick for no fault of their own
Their very nature as being a back up plan
In some ways, they're slaves, not to humans but the idea of humans being the first plan, even god seems to have forsaken them
We see some trying to fit in
Some trying to exploit
Whereas others like Tooru being a rock human supremacist goes on to show that he does have a point
The endless wants of humans is the precise thing Tooru preys on and that is what he thinks would bring about the downfall of human civilization
The master-slave relationship will invert, not through forceful subjugation but through humans themselves willingly giving away their autonomy to be hopelessly reliant on rock humans, a complete inversion of the societal power structure
But the precise things that Tooru sees as being an advantage for rock humans, their steadfast nature, their resilience, their ability to survive and being independent, having no familial/human ties(human ties Tooru is all too familiar with exploiting) is also the cause of his downfall, is also something rock humans simply don't understand
The reason they're plan B isn't because plan A is better, it's because collaboration more often than not works, but there are times when some of the most social animals cannot collaborate, war, conflict, desire to be number one, supremacy, nationalism even(SBR), are all cause for creating an unstable power structure that is capable of collapsing (Valentine's plans would've never worked because the powers of the corpse are too disruptive and create massive disparity)
It is when the ideal of collaboration meets its end that a plan B is required, hardened stone creatures, independent but not necessarily self-serving
@@it6647 Good point as well. I still like my theory more since did have more paratism relations
@@anomalocaris2593 there's also something to be said about the idea of parasitism
The story itself doesn't seem to take any sides on this issue
It mentions, at once, that humans are the cause of habitat loss
Hence, we are parasites on the environment
But it also mentions that rock hueymans are parasites in our society
We aren't sure how many of them exist or even whether they actually care all that much
But parasitism is also the junction at which our ideas seem to agree
That while yes, rock hueymans are parasites, they're not somehow uniquely parasitic
It is also no saying that rock humans themselves are the prime manipulators as a lot of humans are manipulative or opportunistic (like Aisho's girlfriend) as well
Ultimately, both are still "human" and though there are many fundamental differences, a thread of commonality can be seen
@@it6647 Yes the story did point that out. What I was referring is that how rock humans lesser capacity for empathy and higher survival instinct draws then toward paratism more than self reliance. Rock humans in nature are solitary hunters, but due to habitat loss they go back to being parasites due to it being more effective survival method. Dolomite was the only rock human in the story that was close to the old mentality, yet he too served as a more of a parasite to the park. Paratism is the most effective survival method in nature, and rock humans would naturally gravitate towards it as a survival method. Humans developed empathy and comraderie as a survival method instead, yet we also devolve to paratism to secure our own survival if chance comes
@@it6647 There's three form of symbiosis/parasitism: "true" parasitism (the host withers, the symbiote thrives-- cordiceps is an example), commensalism (one species thrives and the other isn't harmed OR helped), and mutualism (both host and symbiote benefit - toxoplasmosis gondii is mutualistic with cats, but parasitic to rats, and it's generally commensalistic to humans).
Stands themselves have been shown to normally be a commensalistic situation (where the Stand itself is neutral and the User is gaining), but with parasitic (Cheap Trick, Holly's Stand when it's forced out, Notorious B.I.G., Chariot Requiem, Scary Monsters (because it's only Diego's quick thinking that makes him gain from it)) and mutualistic (Echoes Act 3, Spice Girl, GER) examples.
Araki LOVES throwing in exceptions to the rules (because much like in the real world, nature abhors absolutes in Araki's worlds), so it's not a stretch to think Rock Humans are by nature parasitic, but there's situations and coincidences that can form commensalism and mutualism from what was parasitic-- and you can engineer one from another, like in the Rohan oneshot with the evil wheat parasite species that goes against the mutualistic wheat species that thrived.
Can't wait to watch this while I have dinner tonight

So nothing I do is special
I kind've considered the Rock Humans to be the Steel Ball Run Universe's analogue to the Pillar Men since it's shown that the Pillar Men were encased in stone before coming to life. They were also the "original beings" of the Earth and sought to take it back for themselves. Although Tooru was more like Kira Yoshikage in that he acted in the shadows whereas Kars was pretty bombastic in Part 2.
PART 8 SPOILERS:
From that, I also saw Tooru as being similar to Kars as he was the leader and mastermind of the rock humans.
Also, both were uncomprehended by their own species: Kars being a Mad Genius, and Tooru for being too young looking.
Kars doesn't have my drip though.

So that will put them above peoples.
@@keczapiquu604 Well you answered yourself basically, their goal is to be beyond humans. Acquiring the Locaca and stopping Josuke would greatly ''speed up'' this process, but as he said, and also from reading the whole part, Josuke killed every single rock human that had attacked him

I Hope we will get some more information about them in part 9 (like pillarman)
I really like the Rock Humans and their dynamic racial differences with humans. Much more than the Pillermen by a long shot. However it really bothers me that at the end of it all, you really can boil them all down to "bad guys who lost because they are bad guys" still. Strange because the Pillermen were actually depicted as fair and noble masters of humanity before Kars ruined everything. Really wish Rai was one honestly. Would have been able to add this greyness where he agreed with the ultimate goal but not the cruelty of the organization
I disagree. Pillarmen didn't really care about humanity, neither did Kars. He was a bit like the Father in FMA. Both of them didn't think of humans as anything to care about. Kars wanted to become a perfect being and overcome the sun, the only other thing he really cared about was to share this power with other pillarmen.
@@5uperM "When primitive man eventually made contact with this race, they were regarded as gods and demons.
Due to their near invulnerability, they had little need to reproduce. They maintained a small, but consistent, population. Because of this, they led peaceful lives, without conflict."
And the motive behind the Pillermen being against Kars's stone mask was:
"Left unchecked, there was no doubt that life on Earth would have been wiped out.(due to needing to kill and eat much more)"
The Pillermen we're the enemy of Kars because they respected the balance of nature and their place in it. And because of that, did not want to see humanity wiped out even though humans are their prey. It's just a few panels of simple backstory, but it paints a picture of a culture that has some depth to it.
@@vanilla8956 That doesn't prove that they actually cared about humanity, they understood the balance of nature but that doesn't place humans in a higher regard than the rest of natural life. The differences between Pillar Men and the rock humans is that the latter don't have a functioning society, they are selfserving and antagonistic by nature but that doesn't make them one dimensional or that they just boil down to simple bad guys, by that logic every villain and antagonist in JoJo and most other seriescan be boiled down like that.
@@domagojzrilic3767 I never said the pillermen “cared” for humanity like gentle mommies. I said that their opinion on humans was more neutral and balanced than “us good you bad “
And you can’t just compare the rock humans to “every Jojo villain” this isn’t a singular bad person it’s an entire race of people. That’s why the one note treatment of the whole species feels too simple.
Yeah Whammu was like the example of how the Pillar Men, by nature, are noble beings though I still personally like the rock humans more even if they boil down to "get rich and rule the world" because of how detailed they are
I believe that rock humans are one of the coolest and most fascinating things Araki has ever written. They look like humans but think and behave in a much more animalistic way. More attuned to nature and mentally different from humans, they just feel so real to me and I hope we get to see more of them
I love the how the this looks like araki made the concept of humans in general with out rock in the comment
With the recent chapters of Part 9: JoJoLands; it looks like you’ll get your wish 😸
I don't think we will see a lot of rock humans in part 9 just because if the part of jojo 7-9 are really a mirror of parts 1-6 rock humans are a mix of vampires of parts 1-2 and the strange feeling of the "twin peak like" that morioh provided. I think that part 9 could be the best part just by the fact that it is the last and araki can put EVERYTHING in there and give us a bigger finale than part 6. See you in 8-10 years
10 years until part 9's end?
@@diansc7322 at least 7-8 from its beginning. Jojolion literally lasted 10 years may 2011-august 2021

Am I the only one who notices the contrast between Diavolo and Tooru? For Example Diavolo has split personality disorder, so there's him and Doppio in one body, plus he's the head of Passione, a mafia that formerly sold drugs, in which probably a majority of it's members are stand users. Then Tooru who is able to assume two identities through his stand, they're both one but are seperate in a way, and he's the head of the Rokakaka organisation, which has Damo's team who makes deals with the Rokakaka, then the TG University hospital members who want to use it, develope it to a level where they can surpass humanity(I think at least)
Because Tooru is Diavolo of SBR while Valentine is Giorno
According to Plankton's ingredient machine:
50% Rock

Ayo new pillar man lore just dropped
Love your content. Please, consider making more JoJolion focused videos :D
i wonder if rokakaka is silicon based plant life, would've been cool if araki went into that
Your mention of how Diavolo's fate altering came back to bite him in the ass, and how it's related to the flow and the "right path" made me think of a pretty good connection.
Boingo's stand: Toth, is basically a device that shows him the most optimal path, that will cause the flow to reward him as much as possible.
If he follows the instructions, everything goes his way and he achieves effortless success, but if he strays from them and tries to "defy the fate" shown by the book (aka. going down the wrong path), he gets severely punished.
He's a kid with anxiety and a precognition stand, it's not good for him lol.
Sorta like, alter the river, but this is JoJo, so if you fuck up a guy falls and the clock strikes 1pm which causes people to go on break because it's daylight savings and the guy who's stand appears between the shapes in crowds kicks your ass.
It must be a hard feeling because you don't know how or what is going to hit you, ever.
Tldr precognition is horrible for you.
I absolutely love your videos, can you do something about the rokakaka and the new rokakaka?
I agree. The mechanics of the fruits and the difference between the two are a bit unclear to me, so I'd like to see that :)
In short terms, base rokakaka makes you have to sacrifice a part of your body to heal other.
The rokakaka medicine makes the rock downside smaller.
And the new rokakaka is able to use another person to heal yourself.
@@Xiaolin2 Thanks, but I knew that already, It was more not for me but more for other people who don't want to listen to me and would rather watch a video about it. Also I know how the new rokakaka was only made becuase It was planted on a wall eye. And it's ability. I want a video explaining the whole entire fruit. But thanks for telling me that, it was a good reminder.
What's cool is that this totally follows along with Part 2's themes too. Humanity and the Pillar Men both challenged the natural order - humanity by rebelling against the Pillar Men's tyranny and the Pillar Men by rebelling against their weakness to the sun in an attempt to dominate both night and day themselves - but humanity won, winning fate's favor because their goal was noble and just, whereas Kars and his allies' goal was purely selfish and evil.

If I'm not mistaken, Araki has published a JoJolion chapter a month for 10 years in a row, Rock Humans needed to hibernate every so often (3 to 4 months I think) so if Araki is a rock human, how could he do that? at least he would have skipped 4 or 3 chapters per year and that would have been strange, so I don't think Araki is a rock human, on the other hand he could be a pillar man who use the stone mask
