    • @Xenunnaki
      @Xenunnaki 3 года назад +68

      I've a theory that the dinosaurs seen in p7 were in fact a kind of rock animal. This would explain why the the ability to turn others into dinosaurs may also turn them into fossils, as rock humans similarly enter a fossil-like state.
      Depending on how far you want to read into this, this can work thematically with how Jesus is prominent. If the dinosaurs were all rock animals then the existing fossils of them wouldn't need to be millions of years old in order to be stone, allowing Young-Earth to be possible in this scenario.

      A corporeal, independent and sentient shapeshifter.
      All these other powers: Tangibity Control, Calamities, Target Locking (ala Bites The Dust) and Duplication. They are defense mechanisms that were grafted onto Tooru's pre-existing Stand when he assimilated with Johnny's Holy Corpse. Similarly to Ticket to Ride.
      When Tooru met Yashuo in 2001, he did *not* have these powers. This was before The Corpse. He only says he will 'impersonate' the real Satoru Akefu. Referring to his sole original ability.
      Tooru also has *no* control of what will be/can be a Calamity or when they'll happen. Only that they have an order and are inevitable. As shown when Yasuho asks about what will be her Calamity. He has no manipulation over the Calamities because it isn't his ability, it's sourced from Johnny's Holy Corpse.

Just as Hamon Beat explained, Ball Breaker seems to be usable to _anyone_ who is good enough at Spin, and not just exclusive to Gyro the way Star Platinum is to Jotaro or Gold Experience is to Giorno. Shoot, that might even apply to Hamon of the first universe and how Hermit Purple is the manifestation of it; Hermit Purple might just be the Stand that Hamon users get for mastering it, which explains why both Joseph _and_ Jonathan get it as both were excellent Hamon users considered among the best by the end of their stories. Perhaps Pearl Jam is just the Stand that any chef (if they have sufficient spiritual strength, anyway) can get if they master cooking enough, not just Tonio. Maybe the golden rotation isn’t only limited to horses and humans. Maybe it could just be the harmony of two living organisms working together to produce their own Spin.
    I would find it kinda unusual if the golden spin could only originate from humans and horses, since I see them as such specific animals for such a powerful ability

    • @HerMi.T
      @HerMi.T 3 года назад +8

      yes that is true. golden rotation is not limited to only human and horse. In my opinion, tusk act 4 is the bigger version of tusk act 2 and 3. In later tusk, it is completely depended on how nail is rotating. So that it can create the phenomenon of infinite rotation. Nails rotate inward at golden ratio to create infinite rotation which can be transferred into other places as highly inward rotating holes which sucked anything which come contact with it. It also create many rotating dimensions because of it's infinitely inward rotating energy which is used as a wormhole for johnny to use tusk act 3. Tusk act 4 is bigger level. It's size is human level. I mean that by rotating your own body at golden ratio. you can create enough energy to infinitely rotate a human sized body or a human sized rotating hole. Because human are unable to do this. Horses are act as a catalyst for human to create golden spiral or golden rectangle (perfect spiral) through their own body. So that they can create enough energy and transferred it to nail or steel ball to achieve tusk act 4 or ball breaker. Johnny literally use his horse to make him rotate or form the golden ratio through his body. So that he can achieve tusk act 4 to defeat funny valentine. yeah it is pseudoscience that this type of energy is created from the run from horses. So that horses and jockey combined with each other create golden triangle or perfect spiral with their body combined to create enough energy (or make nail to spin perfectly in golden ratio with enough amount of energy) to make a human sized body to infinitely spin and finally crumble into pieces when this energy to create infinitely spin is completely consumed by rotation.

    • @DeathScorpi0
      @DeathScorpi0 3 года назад +13

      It may be the fact that it's considered the human is the peak of biological life-forms, both in biology and mind (also according to the ratio), and, it so happens that the horse, a species known for its closeness to mankind, has the biological potential to physically enhance the ratio of the human in a perfect symbiosis.
      I mean, I understand your argument about it being so specific, but in all the observable universe, we just happen to be the only known intelligent race. There are many specific things in real life, but in a fictional level, it can also be done.

      @@DeathScorpi0 I actually give this theory in my previous comment because araki himself said,"I often see the phrase 'horse and man as one' in racing magazines or in historical novels, and it supposedly means that the rider can synchronize his or her movements with their horse, so that they're almost one entity. When I draw Gyro and the others on their horses, I feel like I really understand what that phrase means, though I don't ride horses myself. I can't tell you specifically which ones they are, but when I sometimes get a racing panel to look just right, it feels good, because the figures seem to fit well with one another. It just leads me to believe that humans and horses are biologically suited for one another." That's why i call horse as a catalyst for human to create golden ratio rectangle or perfect spiral from their own body to create enough energy to cause infinite spin phenomenon in much bigger human sized level. Sorry this comment is also long as previous one.

    Is this topic a valid one: Why the Joestars are seemingly gotten fate reversal since the first part when Johnathan and Dio first fought. Whether theres new evil, a joestar is there to stop it. I know that Dio was almost all the responsible for this but I find one exception; the Pillar Men. Yeah they were the creator of the Stone Mask and all, but picture this. Remove Joseph in the scene and their awakening is still underway and humanity will be doomed for sure if its wasnt for Joseph. I find it that the pillar men case was kind of disconnected to Dio even through the stone mask. Why is that? And connects to part 5. The one arrow would be still at the hands of Diavolo and that event happening was no directly influenced by Dios actions but rather just origin event for the arrow to be scattered to the world by Dio.

    • @tobiasnn5792
      @tobiasnn5792 3 года назад

      I would say that the whole thing about the masks was solved on part 2, but there was still one thing left and it was that bitch ass dio in a coffin. And the other parts are the joestar dealing with its repercussions. Guess the pillar men greater purpose was helping dio attain heaven.

    I think horses are actually catalyst for human to create golden ratio through their own body. I always consider tusk act 4 as the more bigger version of tusk act 2 and 3. This technique made human to create spinning energy from their whole body which make this ability more effective in bigger scale or in human sized scale. That hole created by tusk act 4 is more bigger spinning hole created by tusk act 2 and 3. Tusk act 2 uses the pseudoscience of perfect spiral to create a infinite amount of spin energy which make him to use it to transfer this energy in another object as a hole to make that hole spin and follow it's enemies. These hole spin inwards for infinity which create this sucking ability of that hole of tusk act 2. Tusk act 3 just uses the already existing ability of tusk act 2 and explain that how this infinite spin energy create multiple spin dimensions in the hole created by spin energy of nails spinning at golden ratio or Fibonacci number which is directly connected to each other. This spinning hole is exactly similar to real rotating black hole with very high angular momentum with the theory of wormhole to create this ability. It is the more expansion in the already explained ability to create even more powerful ability. Even with this ability, johnny has to think quickly and intelligently to finally defeat civil war stand. Tusk act 4 is simply the previous ability of tusk act 2 and 3 but in much bigger scale. It also activates the energy from your whole body not with small object like nails. Jockey uses horses to create spin energy from every part of their body because we can't use our whole body to spin it like a ball or nail. That's why they uses horses to create this energy from himself and horse combined. They uses horses as a catalyst to create a perfect spiral in golden ratio from their own body. Especially Johnny make his half dead horse to kick him in a way. So that he can create golden ratio or perfect spiral with his own rotating body in a correct shape and correct path of rotation (I mean he make himself rotate in golden ratio) just with his body alone without using his horse as a catalyst which can create multiple golden rectangles at different and multiple angles through his whole body. That's why it can implement the same pseudoscience of nail bullet into his own whole body to create same type of 'hole' in much bigger level which is a whole human body level sized spinning hole. We clearly see this hole where funny valentine is trapped after tusk act 4 pummeled him. That infinitely inward spinning hole always pulled him inside it when he tries to run from it just like nail sized hole.

    Hamon Beat, I'd actually like to add something to the segment about Rock Humans and "respecting the Earth"; *_the Pillar Men._* The Pillar Men's song, "Demon" played at around 23:00 reminded me of this, and I'm somewhat surprised this connection to the previous universe wasn't called out (not be direspectful, of course; and warning, this explanation is _incredibly_ long, my apologies for that).
    Back in Part 2, "Battle Tendency", the threat group took the form of the Pillar Men, a group immensely similar to Part 8's Rock Humans - both are able to turn to stone (ESPECIALLY for long periods of hibernation away from human eyes), both are considered higher lifeforms than their human enemies and possess unique traits, and most of all, both desired to usurp humanity using a special item (Super Aja & New Rokakaka respectively), with both those items having a long history with those stone-based groups (with the Pillar Men having experimented with the energy-reflecting Red Stones and the Rock Humans cultivating the equivalent-exchange of the Rokakaka Fruits).
    However, I think the most important connection here has to do with the beliefs of the Pillar Men's leader and main villain of Part 2: _Kars._ While the other Pillar Men were big threats, it was really Kars' idea from the start to use the Red Stone of Aja to become an ultimate being and lose all imperfections, with Wamuu and Esidisi more or less just tagging along either as sworn companions and/or to ensure their hard work wasn't in vain, and in fact Kars was the one who invented the pivotal Stone Mask (the objects that basically caused _literally every major event_ in Parts 1-6 all the way to the universal reset). _However,_ one thing that most people don't remember about Kars... is his _respect for the Earth._ I highly recommend watching the video *_"The Beauty Of Kars: A Character Analysis"_* by Meti『Not The Bad Guy』for a deeper explanation of this. Throughout the Part, Kars repeatedly shows an odd respect and care for other lifeforms despite his immense ambition; notably, after falling off a cliff and realizing he's about to crash on a couple flowers, Kars _intentionally_ hits the cliff wall to send himself richocheting off the rock faces like a pinball ball just to protect the flowers. Even more so, Kars is not only one of few villains to not harm a dog, but he even went out of his way to _save_ a dog from a drunk car driver, swiftly slicing the driver's arms off as the car passed to make it swerve and miss the dog it was going to hit.
    It's not as explicitly stated as the Rock Humans' reverence for nature, but the Pillar Men (denoted by Kars) also indeed have a respect for the planet as well, tying into Ferdinand's dialogue in the new universe about factions winning or perishing for not respecting the Earth they walk on. Kars only ever is shown killing humans, who in incidents like with the dog could be seen as arrogantly asserting themselves over nature (especially the ever-industrial Nazis represented by Stroheim, whom Kars destroys with unusual anger in a one-v-one fight) rather than accepting that they're all still flawed and thus not objectively "better" than other creatures without the Super Aja. In fact, this theme was even showcased _all the way back in Part 2 WAY before JoJolion was EVER even conceptualized._ Because the thing is, Kars _actually succeeds._ Despite Joseph, Caesar and Lisa Lisa's best attempts, Kars does end up attaining the Super Aja and ascends to an ultimate lifeform, immortal and free of weaknesses, and he's literally only beaten seemingly because of luck. Joseph redirects a blast of Hamon that Ultimate Kars recently acquired (due to no longer being weak to the Sun's energy) into a volcano that then erupts and ejects Ultimate Kars into space forever. However, perhaps this wasn't _entirely_ luck - Joseph's train of thought while fleeing Ultimate Kars on a plane to the volcano was that the planet itself had given Kars life, and his plan to drive Ultimate Kars into volcanic magma to destroy him revolved around the idea that this same planet would then take that life back.
    However, because Ultimate Kars' life literally can't be taken back or destroyed, his ejection to space can instead be taken as the Earth _rejecting_ Kars forever. This is actually because of a disgusting yet subtle action Kars took earlier; after finally becoming the Ultimate Lifeform and losing all flaws, the very first thing Ultimate Kars does after having respected the Earth the whole Part... is transform his hand into a squirrel to _needlessly maul an innocent squirrel._ For no apparent reason. Not for food or because he felt threatened by it, literally just for the sake of showing off his new abilities. Again, while not stated, this is likely because Ultimate Kars no longer respects the Earth and its life as he did before. As a Pillar Men before using the Super Aja, Kars was indeed an extremely powerful apex being, but still limited in potential and still weak to the Sun's energy; just as Meti said in the video I mentioned earlier, Kars still wasn't entirely sure he was better than those plants and animals (the flowers and dog). After finally becoming an objectively perfect lifeform, though, Ultimate Kars _does_ now feel for certain that he is now better than all these lifeforms and uses it as an excuse to use innocent plants and animals as mere playthings for him to tyrannically rule over rather than remain grateful for the power granted to him by the Earth. I don't think it's coincidence that Kars managed to succeed in his plan _while_ he was reverent and respectful to nature, and he only failed _exactly_ after he stopped respecting the natural world that granted him that life and strength to begin with. When he revered the Earth, he was able to succeed, but the moment he tossed away that reverence and began asserting his supremacy over it is when the planet itself rejected him to the endless void forever.
    I say all of this because the stuff mentioned about the Rock Humans and the pursuit for the New Rokakaka in connection with respecting the planet reminded me greatly about Part 2's Kars and how his attitude to the Earth seemed to dictate his own rise and fall. Much like the comparison of talks about the "righteous path" between Parts 5-6 and Part 8 about Fate favoring the Just path, the dynamic of succeeding or failing to acquire power derived from the ground depending on a character's attitude towards said earth seems prevalent in both Part 2's Pillar Men _and_ Part 8's Rock Humans both seeking power granted in some way by the ground (minerals spawning Super Aja, soil growing New Rokakaka) and supposedly only succeeding if they retain respect for that ground granting to begin with. Perhaps Kars' choice to turn his back on the Earth that had given him everything once he had what he wanted resulting in that same planet taking him down for good may also be mirrored in the Roch Humans' quest for power over the rest of the planet's life; if they succeed and decide they can treat the lives of plants and animals however they wish after getting what they want, the Mother Nature of that universe might also decide to step in and put them in their place.

      It does feel like Fate taking an active role rather than a passive during the Battle Tendency. Fate respect Kars and allow him to win but was disappointed that he doesn’t respect Earth after gaining power. So fate manipulate Joseph hand to trigger Hamon volcano and throw several things to throw him to space. Sort of like Adam and Eve exile on Eden.
      But then again, fate foresaw this so it is still predetermined. I really need discussion on the philosophy of fate

    I think it’s important to note that in real world catholic theology, body parts of saints are believed to give some form of power too, holy power that is. All catholic altars (yes, including your local Catholic Church) have relics of a saint imbedded inside of them, such as possessions of the saint or body parts, which is why it is believed in catholic theology that priests are able to turn bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ through a process called transubstantiation.
    I don’t doubt that this has some bearing on what araki was intending when talking about the corpses of saints in SBR

    *Stands Now* This is my stand, Tiptoeing through the Tulips. It's a spiral of geometric patterns, and it turns your self doubt into talking flowers that comment on your body.

    The mention of subatomic particles in the part 7 bonus chapter is fascinating to me. We're aware of stands/spin and that "energy" that appears and disappears spontaneously, as that's what stand energy is powered by. But where do those particles come from? Where do the things within Josuke's bubbles (subatomic particles, or at least things that cannot be seen) come from? Where does anything supernatural come from?
    I believe that these particles appear and disappear from heaven, which give holy power to stands. Think about it, stand users are naturally pulled to each other through the force of gravity. It would make sense that the energy that comes from this attraction is caused by some sort of fate, as if certain particles popped in and out of existence to help stand users get to where they need to be for a reason.
    Dio wanted to attain heaven, which he figured out through the power of stands. Kira and Diavolo relied on this fate in order to keep their identities a secret. Pucci was also searching for heaven, which we can equate to a place filled entirely with stand energy. The Holy Corpse eminates these particles that come and go from heaven. These particles appear to aid those who are holy, and grant stands to the natural world.

    man holy shit, that whole spiel about "curses" being related to the negative energy that the golden ratio represents really makes me think you're almost unlocking some big secrets in the SBRverse. Like, im not sure exactly what it all means, but everything seems tied together in SOME kinda way. It seems like a lot of stands in Jojolion could be considered a form of "curse," with a lot of passive Stands that latch onto a certain action and pursue the user for doing so. It's also weird how there are so many different forms of equivalent exchange - the Rokakaka, the Walleyes, the combination of them that led to Josuke's existence, and the new Rokakaka. It almost seems related to that "negative" energy, as if the Walleyes are a more 'tainted' place instead of the Devil's Palm being "holy land," or whatever. That could even tie into the Rock Human's and the Rokakaka's origins.
    im rambling at this point lol but seriously, there's some weird shit that's all linked together with SBR and Jojolion, and the way that Araki is handling the sheer mystery of it is endlessly fascinating for me. love that you can come in here and pull some of this stuff together lol

    Great video, but I had to quickly pause and click away at the namedrop of head doctor's stand, cause I'm still a few chapters away from that reveal (I think). But luckily "causes calamities to occur" isn't a huge spoiler based on what I've seen it do so far.

    Theory: what if the whole rock people and rokakaka fruit are all connected back to johnny? Johnny stole the saints corpse in order to perform the equivalent exchange on his son, who was inflicted with "rock disease". Upon accepting it into his body, he was killed by a boulder crushing his head. He was later given status as a saint with his own power that affected the land, giving sentience to the rocks around the area; once they were made aware, they found strange fruit that would grow from the corpse of johnny that would perform the act of equivalent exchange, which they decide to take and farm away from prying eyes.
    In other words, the fruits' effect was the result of the rocks disease and equivalent exchange that johnny had possessed at the time. And by using the holy corpse and the infinite spin, inadvertently created the rock people.
