I’ve never worked on my car before except to check the oil & the occasional flat, but I was determined to do this. Followed your directions exactly, no problems! My car looks brand new! Excellent video.

Anyone thinking I might just use cleaning kit don't do it. Just replace them. I tried toothpaste, cleaning paste, bought some bug spray 20 bucks Amazon. But checked new ones 70 bucks. Excellent video, just put phone on radiator and follow. Sent back the spray never used it. Take your time 😊.

I appreciate the no frills video. No intro bs, just the information. It took me less than 2 hours start to finish. I got mine from Rockauto along with a new set of bulbs for $200 total. What a huge difference. Probably easier than one of those headlight polishing kits.

Thanks for the video it helped my other cars it was one bolt and a slide lock in the whole assembly came out this was definitely more involved but if you have someone help you don’t have to pull off all the bolts from the bottom I had my wife just hang onto the bumper while I swap them out real quick, but if you don’t have anyone to help you definitely have to take the whole Front off thanks again

All I want to do is change the sidelights/parking light bulbs, which apparently requires the same procedure!
While the headlight assembly appears different externally to an Australian-built Camry in the XV40 series, it appears that the location of the blinker (turn signal) and parking light (marker light) bulbs are the same; buried in the inner wing.
The Owner's Manual states, ""NOTICE Do not try to replace the front fog, front turn signal, parking, back-up, tail light, stop light, high-mounted stop lamp of licence plate bulbs by yourself. You may damage the vehicle."
It might as well also state, 'And don't bother trying to adjust the angle either because we've invented a new type of adjustment screw, put it into an inaccessible place and tightened it with Superglue!'
    Thanks

If your housing is just yellowed/foggy you can just get a restoration kit and restore it for less money and less time than it takes to do all this. I just did mine and it looks practically brand new! I would only consider replacing it if there were physical damage.

That trick doesn't always work....can't just polish the outside of something that has baked in the sun for more than a decade and expect it to return to normal. There are tons of those videos out there for that, but this is the best video I've found for replacing these headlights.

@@leetjohnsonright. You can restore your headlights and get a temporary nice boost to your headlights. But for a OE lamp on a 10-15 year old car that has been through a couple restoration kit applications... A new headlight assy is necessary.
