Classic archive chock full of content and info, it only begs one question, what should we rename the first Dragon Quest to?
I was kinda bummed when I learned that IX would be DS only. Started with VIII and loved it. I wasn't so upset about the graphical downgrade though. For me, the loss of the symphonic score was the big downside. There was simply no way for the DS to sound that good, even through headphones. But I still played through IX and enjoyed it.
I actually wasn't too surprised that they were releasing it on DS, since historically, the series released new mainline titles on whatever the most popular console was. Putting it on PS3 or PSP was probably out of the question, since both systems struggled until 2009 or so. Theoretically, they could have thrown it on PS2. It would have been risky, but that system was still getting great RPGs like Persona 4 as late as 2008. And we all know how that series exploded in popularity after that. I am surprised they didn't try to put it on the Wii though.

The name of the town Spencer was thinking of Is a great pun. It is a copy of his town called Zere Rocks. Say it out loud like the "copy machine" "xerox" 😆
Also "swine"" dimples" academy" "Hog" Warts" great play on words there😎
One of the worst RPG's I have ever played in my entire life. This game should be quarantined from existence for making the first hour of the game bopping around town and collecting manure.
Boring game and I hate it. Glad I sold it -5/10 would not play again.
