I really like this video, especially the build pics. More impressive the end result; beautiful car. Is it just me or did anyone else notice how clean & tidy the shop was?
Damn this is wat dreams are made of Brent great job as always when your ready to do the headliner might want use some neo magnets to help hold it all up !
Had a 51 Sedan in senior high school that I wish I still had. Ah, the folly of young minds. That is a sweet ride and well done, what hot rod is ever truly finished. Quit putting yourself down man, I love your work. Can't wait to see what your vision for the delivery van becomes.
really enjoyed the history of how the car came to be. looks like a real fun cruiser. probably hard to stop anywhere without talking to lots of folks about it. i imagine that is some of the most enjoyable reasons to take it.
Love all your projects....trucks especially. Very helpful in how to get things quickly and efficiently done w/o measuring everything. You are definitely a jack-of-all-trades in the auto world. Probably not many Studebakers up there. I'm working on a49 Studebaker 2R16 swap. Distant 5th gen Stude myself. Keep them coming.
50 Buick has always been one of my favorites, I love their distinctive grill. That one is a beauty! Your chop is just enough to make it look even better. Great work.
The build videos are so great and worth the wait, but it's just as nice to see you out enjoying them as well. We've got such a short season up here, ya gotta drive em when ya can! Great content!
You know this is one of my favs man! Them flames are just layed out SICK and the right color! I think you meant "shorter/steeper" gears going to 3.73 or 4.10 ... if it's got like 3.08 in there now, that's be a "taller" gear, for more top end.
@@HalfassKustoms Nah, it's normal, like one of them backwards things we have to think about every time... I wasn't even sure if that was right when I wrote it, haha!
Oh man... was going to say awesome but not quite the word... lovely kinda fits but it's more than that... too! Has to blow some minds seeing it out and about... specially for the first time! Locals get the eye-candy. Can't imagine what folks here in Europe would think??? Best shot is the overhead drone looking straight down... but the others are good... like down on the ground... oh yeah! Thanks again... to bad we didn't get to watch the build...
Great video!! Brent, you work hard for nice things, and you deserve them! Yes of course I wish I had some (if not all lol) of your vehicles! Nothing you wouldn't be afraid to drive on a gravel road, I love that! Thank you for the relaxing video!!
For one, everything you tinker with seems to turn totally bad ass! You have an abundance of talent which brings us to number two. You have this thing about not giving yourself credit thinking maybe your work isn’t all we know it is. Knock it off, never say Cant because you really can! Lol, you are a master of all you touch, and I’m not blowing smoke here, it’s the truth! What I wouldn’t have given to have you as my automotive sensei back in the day. The tips and tricks you’ve taught me are priceless, proving one doesn’t need all the latest and greatest tools of the trade. It’s more or less all in the mind/attitude towards the project and how one uses their hands. A lot of folks can’t for the life of them make that connection, but you do flawlessly. Thank you for sharing, she’s a beauty! I can picture her crawling down the blvd low-n-slow with “low rider” playing on the stereo... just badass! 😉 Stay healthy my friend and stay safe!
My great grand mother had one of the first post WWII Buicks and the body shape looked a lot like this one. It was blue and had spotlights on each side. We call it the Baby Whale...
Love that car! My grandfather had one (without the chop) ;) when I was kid, rode in it a bunch. Tall gear = lower number = higher gear ratio = highway, speed. Short gear = higher number = lower gear ratio = drags, acceleration.
As a rule I like my Buicks stock, but I LOVE this one! I have been a Buick man for almost 50 years. I currently own two of them. A '56 Special and a '65 Skylark. I live near Seattle, Washington and really enjoy watching your builds. I first started with the chopped Pontiac and have been watching ever since.
Love the car! The paint job is unique. I have painted a Charger, black with lime green pinstripes. I don’t get a lot of requests for green flames. Then again, I am in Texas and the guys that have money are interested in restomods. I pinstripe by hand. My 2 sons and my daughter cannot do that. It is becoming a lost art. I am currently tearing down a 67 GTO, and have a donor car. I will build the frame from tube, and will put an LS in it. Per customer order. He said money is no object. My kind of build! You are a talented guy. I enjoy your videos and As a dog lover, keep Pablo in the videos. Havve a good day. Looking forward to your next video
It's a great name for your channel but you do much better than halfass. That car kills! All your work is killer...thanks for sharing your passion and vision with us!
I love it. I got a 1949 Ford Custom Coupe and enjoy it too. But it is stock and painted black. I wonder how many more of these beasts you have packed away that we have not seen. Super cool car and it looks fast too. Great show.
Thanks for making this video, I was always wanting to take a look at that cool car in the background. I was in love with that cool flame covered HOT RODD, and the lace job down the middle is great. Just my style, thanks.
I liked the burn out on the pad. But I must admit, I was a little bit afraid that the guy drinking the beer, should not have been there trying to keep your rear end on the pad. I was just waiting for him to get run over. Lmao. Thanks for the video.
That car looks good you never know you cut it up like that without seeing those pictures good job definitely something different you got to be different. 👍👍😀
That Buick looks and drives like a million bucks with out spending one million bucks. I know this build was not cheap, Buck what ever it cost She is a LOOKER
I have to say out of everything you own this one is my favorite I love the looks of these cars I have always wanted one just like this one on bags with sorta the same paint
I've want to build one of these just like this but converted to hardtop and the top of door and quarter pushed down like the skylarks so the window line matches the body line
This car has attitude! Love the chop, stance, and the T-Bird interior. Got to clean up the dust to make room for new dust.
Absolutely beautiful vehicle, my favorite combo of colors.
I really like this video, especially the build pics. More impressive the end result; beautiful car. Is it just me or did anyone else notice how clean & tidy the shop was?
Fine piece of art...makes its presence known ...to nice for burn out car...weekend cruiser for sure👍👍👍👍

Like the lace; throwbackto the early 70's.
I am totally impressed with the work you do. You make it look so easy.
Very nice ride, I love the colors of the flames, just right 😎
What a beautiful car. would love to have a car like that just for those spring & summer time cruises.

What beautiful machine!! I'd love to be able to cruise the roads in that beast!!
Love this car,Front end got the look of a deep sea creature ready to devour, lowered and chopped just attributes to it,and performance to back it up.
Beauty! Saw it cruisin Portage Avenue a couple weeks ago...she’s even cooler in person!!
VERY VERY COOL, WISH IT WAS MINE!

Time to build another one like this... I'll take this one and you can keep the new one!
So cool. Thanks for sharing. Be well and stay safe.
Thats a super cool old ride buddy!
Looks like it rolled out of Larry Watson's shop back in the early 60's! So cool! Von should be proud of his work!

Nothing like seeing the Buick out to see some sunlight 👍🏽
A great looking Buick. Love the air-ride and the low stance. Interior is nice and will be even better when finished. Be safe and stay well.

NAh, he'll just get a little bump off to the side and probably not even spill a drop... the beers fine.

Thats one sweet ride. i had to sell my 55 chevy. but i would love something like that one day
Yeah man, show cars with perfect paint aren't fun 'cause of being too worried about messing it up. Your Buick is an ideal driver. Love it!
Nice flashback/build.
I like the 3 inch chop, looks just right.
That is one fine automobile! Hope to see it in person one day.
yeah will be out a bit with it this summer till I pull out the roadster I guess haha
very jealous, she's a sweet ride, I love the Buicks of the 50's, I'd have to win the lottery to get one and ship it to the UK..
