Jim has $100,000 guitars just hanging around. I admire that. Don't keep them hidden away in cases. Display them like the art that they are.

Jim ! I am a big fan and I am so glad you ended up with April Lawton's guitar ! I saw RAMATAM many times in a club in Athens Ohio called The Castle. April usually played an SG but I remember seeing that missing Les Paul. What a find that will be if it ever turns up.

Jim all the buckle marks were caused by that 60's- 70's big belt buckle fashion :-) Great video and I enjoyed every story behind the guitars. I am an amateur luthier and love looking at guitars, many are great pieces of art. Thanks again for the great video!

"It's not in tune...It was in tune when I bought it....I just don't understand..." ROFL. Jim's cool. I think Jim and me could chill, have some beers and talk music and guitars all day. Cheers, Jim!!

These are great, Jim. Can't wait to see more in the series! Love the technical stuff too! Your knowledge (and appreciation) of the history and construction of these gems in your collection is awesome!

It must have been quite a difference when you worked with the group Chase back in '74 huh Jim? That was a one of a kind group and you fit them well I thought. Huge tragedy when the Bill and others were killed in the plane crash. That must have been tough to deal with. It sure was for myself as just a fan. Used to have Bill's autograph.

Pelham Blue for the Gibson S-V, if no one has answered.

Hi, ML. Just catching up to this excellent video now. Although Pelham Blue does famously fade to a greenish tint over many years, I think this instrument might be Inverness Green.

  • @chudking

Jim, You have many awesome guitars.. BTW, your SG Flying V is called Pelham Blue, and the guitar you said is an ES-355 was a 345... 355’s have an ebony fretboard/Block inlays, and multi layered binding in front and back like a Les Paul Custom... 👍🏼🤘🏼🚀👽
