Klaus, you must go back and listen to the music from 1967 thru 1978. You will love the rock and pop music of the whole era. The Ides of March released the song you just listened to in 1970. Great stuff !!!!!
So Jim P was nearly 70 when this performance went down. Let that sink in.... 70. Amazing musician, song writer, live performer and friggin athlete. Rock on Handsome stranger.
Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of my husband Gary. He was the "Friendly Stranger in the Black Sedan" when we met 55 years ago, in the Fall of 1969. I'd just turned 16 and he was 19. R.I.P., my Love.
I miss the bands from the late 60's and 70's because of the brass sections! This band, Chicago, The Catalinas, Tower of Power and so many others had kick ass horns that set these songs on FIRE!!!!
