This is such a nice condensed collection of every major chess idea to learn after "develop your pieces, control the center, knights before bishops, and Castle", etc...
Another high quality instructive video. And how brilliant to make it up from a bunch of examples from your own videos with live games. It serves as a nice repetition of highlights of the instructive moments, and so is very nice for overlearning/memoricing. You are the best of the most active youtubers on chess right now, cheers.
im not 1600 but i already know all these ideas and concepts, im happy with this bcause your video is very nice and it indicates me in a way that my study is going well, thx u nelson, if u can, can u do a video about 2000+ ratings tips? Im also curious to comparate my knowledge with them and i want to study by it :)
your insights are very appreciated, im not that great at chess, dont play often, this content is enterainting makes me wanna get into it, also could be its own comment but i appreciate the game much more, some that gives you an advantage can be a disadvantage as well fascinating
@@thomapple - No. I think it refers to one of his prior videos in which an opponent who took a long time to move because he was using a chess engine made the excuse that he was cooking some rice. I think. 🙂
An exception to a tip isn't another tip! "Take towards the center" is such a stupid rule. It's only correct about 50% of the time! And there are only two options, so following this rule is almost the same as just taking a coin flip. Seriously, just have students evaluate the position and come up with the best move on their own.
Ive been braindead lately. Lost over 150 elo and cant get it back for no reason whatsoever.
That happens to me when I am too focused on winning. Just play the game for fun and you will do much better.

Thanks for these tips Nelson. I've been enjoying the new Rating Climb series with Average Joe

This is a great summary of your speedruns, and shows why your speedrun videos are so valuable!
This style of teaching tips is very helpful. Thank you so much 😊
Nicely put together!
Excellent advice in ~ 15 mins
I like your stream and the way of explaining ❤
This guy's vibes remind me of chess.
The chess reminds me of this guy's vibes
You're always a good teacher, but you took it to the next level during that rating climb session. Definitely some of the best work you've ever done.
i love how in tip #6 ,Nelson's baby was heard crying in the background!
09:52 Taking with the b pawn prevents the king from castling because of Ba3.
11:17 Lithuania mentioned rahhhh🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🇱🇹🦅🦅🦅🦅🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Some great tips certainly will add to my chess knowledge !! Thanks Nelson

10:17 also, if can, go for castle queenside and push b3 and king b2. you got really strong fortress right there
this a very useful video thanks man
Definitely going to watch this a couple times
Great tips! There’s a minor spelling mistake in #20- should be ‘guaranteed’
The little baby in the background is so cute ❤
I watched this video because of this comment, but I was just getting side tracked by the video
@@alfa-psi ?
Little baby? What?
I dont think 1600 fall for any of this anymore😂
Proving you validation 3 weeks later that I also see no baby
Thanks man
Bonus tip even if ur a GM- Dont mouse slip
I’m a 1400 in rapid so I’m gonna definitely use these tips to improve.
editor taking advantage of nelson yapping all the times in game
Good job too!
He is teaching not yapping!
last clips are unseen
Rice: 2.....
Great tips, on #20 guaranteed, it's a little tough to spell but might want to correct that.
Deja vu for this match ;-) Thanks to your tactics I've been on a winning streak!
🇿🇦💚❤️💛💙🇿🇦🍻🙌🏽🍺 thanks a lot for the tips big respect for that
Hey Nelson, you made a speeling mistkae on #20....
*guaranteed
😊
Let's get this fixed before it goes public! Also *spelling.
But I meant to speel it "speeling". That was not a mistkae at all! 😄
The disrespect@@iknowyourerightbut2448
mistkae? what is mistkae
@@helmutwege4730It's a bit like a mistikk, but slightly mor soor.
Tips 30 : play against a braindead opponent
whoaaa, new editor?
7:50 with dodgy spelling
Yesterday i hung my queen 2 games in a row. Im 1350
I feel you... I'm 1200 and I hang my knights all the time cuz apparently I don't like horses or something
You make it look so easy
your opponents castling rights > your opponent’s castling rights
Nice review even for players over 1300. I would change it to 1600 at least.
Bravo!
It's guarantee. Was the misspelling another test?
the only best
Adds are hilarious...first one a semaglutide injection add(supposedly to loose weight)and the next one a Mcdonalds add( to put it on)
These are not good chess tips if you're under 1600 these are good chess tips if you're under 900 lol
To study. Thanks
That blurrings give me a headache
❤️🙏🏽🥰
hi nelson
Obligatory RUclips algorithm comment.
What is rice? Inside joke?
Yes. It means someone cheated by using a chess engine… or was suspected of cheating.
@@williamsquires3070 I see, and why "rice"? Is it an acronym?
@@thomapple - No. I think it refers to one of his prior videos in which an opponent who took a long time to move because he was using a chess engine made the excuse that he was cooking some rice. I think. 🙂
Cheaters
Good video but you talking about the board whilst we can't see it, during the title, makes it harder to follow
Good tips but too much time in the video was just words on the screen. Would be nicer to look at the position while we get the words

Why 29? Why not a nice even number like 30, that last one just wasn’t coming into fruition huh 🤔🤨🤷♂️
