      That happens to me when I am too focused on winning. Just play the game for fun and you will do much better.

    This is such a nice condensed collection of every major chess idea to learn after "develop your pieces, control the center, knights before bishops, and Castle", etc...

    Another high quality instructive video. And how brilliant to make it up from a bunch of examples from your own videos with live games. It serves as a nice repetition of highlights of the instructive moments, and so is very nice for overlearning/memoricing. You are the best of the most active youtubers on chess right now, cheers.

    im not 1600 but i already know all these ideas and concepts, im happy with this bcause your video is very nice and it indicates me in a way that my study is going well, thx u nelson, if u can, can u do a video about 2000+ ratings tips? Im also curious to comparate my knowledge with them and i want to study by it :)

    10:17 also, if can, go for castle queenside and push b3 and king b2. you got really strong fortress right there

      @@thomapple - No. I think it refers to one of his prior videos in which an opponent who took a long time to move because he was using a chess engine made the excuse that he was cooking some rice. I think. 🙂

    Good tips but too much time in the video was just words on the screen. Would be nicer to look at the position while we get the words

    An exception to a tip isn't another tip! "Take towards the center" is such a stupid rule. It's only correct about 50% of the time! And there are only two options, so following this rule is almost the same as just taking a coin flip. Seriously, just have students evaluate the position and come up with the best move on their own.
