This was a player playable plane in Battle Stations Pacific. There was an achievement if you managed to safely land it. This was tricky as the only "safe" landing zones were on the leeward sides of ships & islands, otherwise the pane would catch a wave and flip.
If i'm not mistaken, it was one of these types that damaged Joe Foss' aircraft so badly that he had to bail out eventually. He DID shoot the F1M down first.
All ww2 plane wrecks still out there need to get recovered and restored, can't miss opportunity getting these planes in museums or flying again, make it happen people

What version of 1946 is this? it looks nothing like my std IL2 Ultimate Edition using the updated 4.13.4 patch nor can I recall it looking like that in the old std updated patch version I had of IL21946. a few years back. Which begs the question, what is better to run, IL2 Sturmovik Ultimate Edition (which includes IL2 1946) or the previous release of IL2 1946?

In a episode of dogfights there was one that jumped two night fighter hellcats I believe
Those were "Ruth/Rufe" float plane fighters which were based on the A6M "Zero".
