I'm slowly getting my 2000 Chevy 1500 LS 5.3L z71 rebuilt with knew parts. It spent most of its life in harsh Canadian winters. It is now in Georgia. It does have surface rust underneath which I need to pressure wash again with purple power, then have it on a lift and cover it with POR 15. It will have an osmosis affect. I really love my truck as it just keeps on going! Wish I had a son who worked on vehicles. Oh well, I buy high grade parts, then save some more then have them installed, then save some more and have something else done. Hopefully I will get it done before I'm 70 as I'm soon to be 64 ....
GMT800, THE best. I inhereted my grandpas 2000 silverado with 258k. Unfortunately, it's not near as clean as yours was an old farm truck. Got it 4 years ago, running badly, super rich. Also neglected. Long story short, fuel pressure regulator had a ruptured diaphragm. I've since refreshed all the belt driven items, complete truck seal (engine, trans and diff), radiator, ac system, and new steering and suspension and rebuilt driveshaft. She could use a paint job and headliner, other than that...pristine and runs like a top. No intention to ever get rid if it. Just hit 290k on the original engine and transmission.
I have the 2000 Silverado LT all leather power seats under 100K. Black with full fiberglass bed cover. 5.3L 4WD, custom stainless exhaust, dual FlowMasters. $16K
Strangest RUclipsr and RUclips video I’ve ever seen. I think you need to clean up your speech a bit like when you said the word “in” like 8 times in a row talking about how grandpa painted the truck. Also there was very minimal amount of explanation and details about doing the job you did. Maybe this is off base regarding your channel and you’re doing things exactly how you want. I’m not sure though because I didn’t watch any other videos and I doubt I’ll take the time to do so based on this video. Very nice truck though
Best looking and most comfortable Silverado ever made. I’d love a clean 2500 duramax, future classic for sure.
That truck has the best seats ever in a pickup.
They just might be.
I just with they'd lean back further
I'm so touched. Bless y'all.
I love that front end

POR 15 seals in moisture
That is one beautiful truck, brother.
Great story and video!!!!!
Thanks much!
Great video and looking forward to seeing more on this series. Also, your dad has a very nice looking truck!
Nice work on this one, Jason! I think your "NW Legends" series idea is great. Looking forward to more in the series.
Many thanks! Yeah this was one of my favorites and I can't wait to make more.
I have a 2006 2500hd GMC SIERRA with the LBZ and even though it is an old truck, I just love my truck 😂
I have a 2002 Yukon SLT and will look to do this job myself - thanks! My grandparents were dairy farmers in Wisconsin!
Yeah it was very easy. Only big tip is to let the rear axle droop all the way and it's a breeze.
I have almost the exact same truck only different is mine is a 2500 and gold color and it was also my grandpa's
I hope you feel blessed to have that sort of relationship with your father😇
Very much so. 🤜🤛
Another great one Jason! Beautiful and clean Truck!
Love that Sticker!
For sure.
