- Sorry for some “repetitive words” and the Pittsburgh-ese” accent! Lol! I did this video and spliced in some video parts over a period of a few days…. But I wanted to get a video on this install since I just got it … plus there are not many Harley Tri Glide trike accessory, modifications & tech videos.
(This would normally only take a couple hours to install, taking your time).
The Oil Filter relocation kit is made by DK Customs and it is known as their “C-n-C” (Cool-n-Clean) kit and install is showing with the Black powder coated finish. (Also available in polished aluminum).

I’m guessing this won’t work with motor trike’s running boards in place
I would recommend contacting DK customs to verify… But I would think that it would indeed be an obstruction with the rear part of the running boards.

Yes, it certainly is not cheap… but neither are our Harley’s! Lol! It is a nice item and the parts are made very well.

What about the oil left in the lines during an oil change?, How do you get that out or does it stay?
I measured the length of hose I used (80” total) and then measured a 12” piece of hose and it equates to only 4oz in the hoses.
I guess one could undo the clamps and drain the hoses… But then again, it’s only 4 ounces.

@@johnniemyers6741 Thank you… space is limited for a Bypass, but it could certainly be carefully positioned either down near the lowers, or back close to the filter as those areas are the least congested. 👍🏻

Can Harley void your warranty for installing this?
You would have to check with them. Most likely, yes.
Keep in mind, if you have a warranty that’s not engine related (bearings, electrical, etc.) it’s only if the modification you did RESULTED the part to fail. The Moss Magnesson act protects the consumer.
I bought my Tri Glide used and it’s 10 years old and I have no warranty.
DK customs sells many of these (including for 2-wheeled bikes) and these work out great!

By design…. Just like OE, it is side mounted exactly how factory is… plus it’s more protected that way too.
