Absolutely the best suspension/shocks you could put on a Harley Triglide. I truly truly love them might’ve been on for about six months and what a difference it has made in my bike or my trier.

Agreed! Although I have not tried any other shocks to compare these too,but now I don’t need to because I am totally satisfied with the ride. I put them on and felt they were too soft so I took them off and adjusted them to be a bit more rigid/harder. Later I felt they were still too soft, and took them off again and adjusted them. That time to perfection. I have been riding for many many years. Before I put the shocks on, I was seriously considering selling the motorcycle and just getting out of motorcycle riding. I am glad I didn’t now.

@@windsurfed1 How come you took them back off 2 times, they say you can reach the set screw and turn the adjuster to turn up or down for adjustment. Was it hard to see and do is why you took them off 2 times, I'm interested in them myself for my 2018, already have the lift kit but air shocks on mine suck, I'm running around 20 lbs of air with 21 lbs in rear tires, I'm not interested getting them and then have to take them off again like you did, I will just keep my air shocks and suffer with the ride, the roads I drive are to bad but there are roads I want to travel and I don't because of my back. hope you see this and maybe explain why you took them off 2 times to adjust

Believe it or not, I have went in there and taken those shocks off two more times to fine-tune the adjustment to my liking. It was time-consuming and a little bit irritating. But I got the shocks dialed in perfect and they are wonderful. At first they were too soft. Then I adjusted them. Then I took them off because they were still too soft and adjusted them and put them back on. Like I said, now they are fantastic.

Glad you saw the video. I took measurements of the lift in the back of the bike before I installed the shocks and the convertible comfort lift kit because I had my shocks set on the probably softest condition because I wanted a real soft ride. I actually lost 3/16 of an inch in height in the rear, which was expected by me because I saw DK’s custom videos on why your expectations of height may not come through. It was a three part series. The OEM shocks are much stiffer and had I just put the convertible comfort lift kit on a probably would’ve gained an inch and a half and, maybe if I would’ve ordered the 14 inch next GEN shocks I would’ve got a better lift. But I’m not worried about it. Bike still looks the same. I wonder what it would’ve looked like it had I not put the convertible comfort lift kit on there and use the OEM shock mounting bracket. I’m glad I did use the convertible, comfort shock bracket.

You commented that your trike is sitting 1/8 inch lower that with the OEM shocks. That's expected. Go watch the bottom video on the Nexgen shock page (13 or 14 inch) and they explain why the difference occurs----it's in the sag. Great video. I wasn't sure if I wanted the 13 or 14 inch shocks, but after watching that video and the fact that I ride 1 up the majority of the time they recommend thew 13 inch as the 14 in would be to stiff. Again, thanks for a great video. I will be referring back to it. The only difference is I think I'm gonna take the rear box off as I have a fused neck (reason I went to a trike) and getting into tight spaces is difficult sometimes. Thanks again.😎😎

did a ride video a couple weeks ago and posted it on my RUclips channel. You can see it if you like. It is a world of difference.
      I took measurements
On the right rear fender height, the middle of the bike in the rear, and the left fender height in the rear with the OEM shock height, and then, after I was done installing the shocks, I did another measurement with the new shocks and the convertible comfort lift kit in the same position.
DK custom did a video on why the heights of bikes possibly could not be lifted after adding the convertible comfort lift kit. There was a number of variables,, including the softness of the shock, the rider Weight, and a couple other variables. A very good video explaining why your bike may not be lifted as you expected to.
I understood that before I bought mine. After I did my measurements, after the install, I actually lost 3/16 of an inch. So it was 3/16 of an inch lower. I can’t imagine how much lower it would have been. Had I not install the convertible comfort lift kit.
My shocks were set on the softest position probably you can put it on that’s probably why it went down. Had I put it on a more stiffer position? It may have went up.
I wish I would’ve installed the convertible comfort lift kit with the OEM shocks, and then took a measurement, but I didn’t. I wonder how much higher it would’ve been. Because those things are very stiff.
It still looks as level as it did when I first bought it. You really can’t tell but let me tell you a ride so much better.
For the shocks in the convertible comfort lift kit was right around $1100.

If you watch the DK custom video it will tell you, that different shocks will produce different result in the height. If you do not want to do a lot of cussing and swearing and moving your body in positions that don’t agree, then I would highly recommend taking the body off. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I have adjusted the shocks two times. When I got them, they were preset. I found it was too soft, so I went about taking the shocks off again and adjusting them. Found out that it was still a little too soft. So I went in again the second time and took the shocks off and adjusted them and put them back on and now it’s perfect. I tried to adjust them while they were on the motorcycle before taking them apart/off and it was too difficult. So I literally had to take them off and reinstall them. Once you get them dialed in, they are excellent. I highly recommend the shocks over the OEM shocks. You will not be disappointed.

@@windsurfed1 I'm pretty well sold on the DK shocks for my 2017 Freewheeler, now if I could just come to a decision on the 13" or 14". I wish they would have just made one version or the other.

I read many reviews of people who had put these on and claim it was a world of difference between night and day. But I was still reluctant to buy them, because in the back of my mind, I just didn’t believe them. After installing them and using them, I can safely say everybody was correct in saying this is a world of difference. Little on the expensive side but if you want a way better ride than the OEM shocks, then I highly recommend getting the shocks.

I've noticed in your videos the camera mounts that you have located on the front fairing below the windscreen. What brand are they or where did you get them?

Got them off amazon. Kinda Spendy at around $25 each. I have about 12 of them. Very convient to move the cameras arounnd quickyl. ULANZI Claw Quick Release Plate Tripod QR Camera Mount Adapter

replaced the windshield mounting screw with same size stock screw and mounted a go pro flat camera mount to the protruding screw. Had to precisely cut the protruding screw to the right length to get everything to fit properly. Then just went from the go pro flat mount to figure out how to mount the ulanzi mount. @@davidgallens7056

I made a video on a ride review of the shocks a couple of weeks ago if you want to look at that. They are a world of difference for sure. Little on the expensive side but I’m glad I bought them because of no more jarring sensation when hitting bumps are going over roads that are paved, and look good, but are rough. Much more relaxing ride now.

The closest thing do I have making the blocks is at the very end of this video. I spent about two minutes explaining it. Otherwise I didn’t really go into detail.

@@windsurfed1 It is less work to remove the body and you won't rune you shocks like you did. The first line in the shop manual said to remove the body. I'm going to up load the video. ruclips.net/video/uqOYDiDH2H8/видео.html
