- In this video I'm testing whether any of the main story bosses in elden ring can survive dragonlord placidusax's mouth beam, which is a very very OP attack.

it's so funny that most of them got dropped into the arena from the sky and just looked around like "where the hell am I, wtf is going on", while Hoarah Loux, warrior that he is, immediately ran straight towards his enemy with no hesitation. sick
I'm pretty sure that Godfrey/Hoarah Loux is the one that defeated Placidusax before, cutting off three of his heads and half of his tail, so Hoarah Loux already knew what he was up against. What a chad.

Well as you can see even Dragonlord misses the target sometimes,
can't hit = not good enough
so no need to feel bad about it

I love how Godfrey is both one of the slowest bosses, and the fastest
Me and a friend were playing together yesterday and he slowwalked the entire time for me, but as soon as I got in to help my friend he was doing back-lit axe throws, lunges, sidesteps every move he had was one he used exclusively against my friend
1. This made me realise how HUGE the Fire Giant is. Holy crap he TOWERS over Placidusax
2. Morgott chucking that spear and Radagon just walking through most of the combo was pretty badass ngl
3. Placidusax divebombs Fire Giant in the nuts 7:00

“This is the exact moment in time when Placidusax took a chunk out of the Fire Giant’s family jewels.”
Think about how big Gransax is... I mean it's in the name (grand = big) but he's so big that Fire Giant would probably be half his height, or maybe even smaller. Imagine fighting Gransax as a living boss. I'm pretty he's technically alive since the dragons stone scales can harden into pure stone to preserve themselves whilst still being alive; that's why Placidusax is seen in Farum Azula as a rock before you go to his boss area. Not sure if that's correct, but some item description mentions the ancient dragons turning their lord to stone to preserve him, so it's possible Gransax did the same thing.

@@BjornTheBear That’s why I think you should’ve tried to do this like how Pantagana did it with Midir’s beam in DS3: turning off the target’s AI and placing them somewhere they’d take all of the damage. That way, it would’ve been more accurate.
Well if you noticed it did the same moves lightning, air attack then lazer. So if they had a big enough life they'll just tank it and be fine. I honestly wish it was murdered to just be the laser beam.

I love how Mohg not only walked straight into it like an absolute beast, but laughed at the dmg like it was a pin prick. And it wasn’t even because of his health either. It just didn’t faze him one bit aside from it knocking him to his knee.

Solder of Godrick was just kidding guys...but this test is flawed due to the erratic nature of the beams. It was pretty much given who would survive when it came to the likes of Rykard, Fire Giant. However, some of the other outcomes only was good due to them being lucky.
I just think soldier of godrick wanted to give placi a self-esteem boost, he meant to die
If his beams would actually TRACK better so that the last two always were centered on his opponent they would be SO much scarier. Same with Radahn's Meteor.
I don't remember Radahn missing with his meteor against a boss though?
@@oreochatz7231 I'm talking about players. You can watch him miss streamers several times. For Radahn and Plac when it's a 1v1 of any kind they should always be facing/tracking their attacker. For multiple v 1 they should always prioritize the main character with their special moves instead of going for the mimic or other players/npcs.
@@tomtomkingbenito5998 That would be both fucking rad as well as absolutely terrifying. It would also kill off a huge part of what makes summons so good right now. I think it could be a cool feature to add for NG+ and beyond in order to keep the level of accessibility the game has currently, while also having that extra boost in difficulty for the more hardcore players.

Half of them didn't get hit by it because they were too far so I can't know if they could live through that beam. As for Rykard, yes his health did seem to be unmovable but his poise seem to be easily affected. Interesting vid.

@@cyberklashnikov3062 You can't see them since the beast is constantly swimming in it's arena (although when it jumps you can probably see them), but elden beast has legs

Even if it only did half their health bar, that’s an insane amount of damage considering that it is one singular attack.

I feel like Placidusax positioning himself just slightly away from the bosses saved a few of them. Like he's usually slightly to the left(?) of them after he flies down it seems so they can (usually) evade the two final hits.. unless they're Radahn.
It'd be interesting if you could remove all of Placi's attacks except the beam, or make the summons only vulnerable to that.
It's an attack sequence. Two lightning strikes, one for each head followed by a lightning cloud followed by beams

@@RegentofArrako Placidusax played the role of Elden Lord before the Erdtree entered the Lands Between. And this is only with two heads, he used to have 4 or 5 of them.

Fyi Radagon can parry pretty much any spell.
My biggest flex in this game is still beating this boss on one attempt by pure stroke of luck.
Mine is saying I can kill commander niall with no issues, while everyone else glitches around him.

That Holy Spear yeah that was freaken cool plus, Mohg took it like a champ as well as my girl Malenia, Rykard brushes it off as if was a mosquito bite, the fire giant states it needs a bath after that and yeah need more could you possibly do a dragons only FFA
I love how rykard doesn't have insane hp. He's just so ridiculously strong against all forms of damage except the weapon in his boss room
He does still have the highest HP in the game though? Especially when you count both phases?
Placidusax and Radahn are two of the best bosses in any game ever imo, based on spectacle alone. This boss is fucking awesome.

I think it would be cool to test the damage output of attacks like this against passive opponents too. If the bosses stood still and tanked the whole attack, would the fire giant and Rykard be the only ones who make it? That would be cool to see, great video tho! 👌

If you really wanted to know if they survive the lazer beam you should summon them just before he does that attack. You summoned all of the bosses way before the laser beam...

I'm generally disappointed by the tracking of the last two beams, but other than that this was a fun watch.
The spacing seemed pretty off for most of these, it's not really checking if they can survive if they don't get hit by most of it, is it?
Plus, it’s not like the bosses were getting hit by just the beam attack. This test isn’t that great

Why do these bosses take so much damage (thousands) and i can survive multiple beam hits with my pathetic 1900 vigor? Is it because i have more damage negation through my talismans, stats and armor? Or did you downscale the bosses healths? I'm kind of confused

I know I can't be the only one who laughed out loud seeing Patches spawn in. To me it looked like he started to walk away too like he did in the Radahn fight.

This game never ceases to amaze me. I was doing quite well, and my mimic tear had Aggro, so I figured it would be a good time to heal, the second I start drinking my flask, he pulls these beams out and I didn’t have time to roll out of it. Anyway, cool video! I’m surprised that some of the bosses died so quickly when they take ages to kill early on, level scaling is a bitch, haha.
I affectionately call this his "King Ghidorah attack" cuz holy cow it hits HARD. A lot of the damage is somewhat decided by the attacker's positioning which affects whether or not they get hit by the final vertical sweep which does a LOT of damage but requires them to be positioned right in front of Plac.
