Can ANY Boss Survive The Strongest Royal Revenant? - Elden Ring
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 24 июл 2024
- In this elden ring video I'm testing if any of the best bosses in elden ring can survive an encounter with the strongest royal revenant.
Considering that the strongest royal revenant is actually not so strong I've decided to make it 10% more powerful each time it sucessfully defeats another boss until all his vanilla stats are doubled. In its base stats (haligtree scaling) it has 5k hp.

it never stops impressing me that uncommon enemies have attacks that can deal up to 10x the amount the main bosses can deal
For real, so weird
And that’s on top of the bosses one - two shotting you
That's usually how these games go, bosses are not that bad, but the regular enemies are infinitely more annoying and deadly.
Take for example Dark souls 1, pinwheel is an extremely easy boss, but the spiky wheel skeletons, the necromancers etc. Are so much worse and more likely to kill you instantly
I'd bet most of it comes down to AI being too dumb to move out of harmful AoE and the lack of invincibility frames, so a PC wouldn't be as affected.
Usually bosses without stagger get shredded by those multi hit attacks, a player will find it annoying cause it staggers them but players get the chance to stay on the ground with I frames, while bosses dont have this luxury, they just get rekt
20:36 Hoarah Loux ripping the revenant out of the earth, like, “you think you can escape me?!”
Beast Vs simple animal
The fire giant match is pretty much whenever I have to remove a spider from my home.
Usually i also lose a leg at the end.
🤣🤣🤣
How many legs do you have?!
Only 2 now
Reading this before that part made it so much better. The entire time I was just imagining myself as FG and thought “yup that’s pretty much everything I would do”
roll away with a shield on my back ✅
Jump high and smash it with something ✅
Yell in rage constantly ✅
And finally use the fire magic I learned from a supposedly deceased god and kill it ✅
Fire giant fight was dumb. Half the fight is Revenant stuck on a rock being pummeled from above
The fact he single-handedly triggered Malenia's second phase shows this things deals monstrous damage.
This enemy is something that should not exist.
That's why healing stun locks and does so much damage 😜
Single handedly? He has like 8 hands lol
Agree
@Eric Koehler figuratively, it's a metaphor
Half a second after this reply I realized you were probably making a joke.
Agreed, I went for the frozen needle but a royal revenant was blocking access. That slappy stun-lock shows From have left the ideal of difficult but fair or difficult but fun, far behind them.
Me: "Hey morgott does pretty well "
Morgott: does phase 2 transition
Me: "Oh , never mind"
Spartan 117 likes.
That transition always gets him wrecked in these lol
he got dempsey rolled to death lmao.
If only it was a cutscene with s...
You mean Melania lmao
Two things I noticed in this video:
1. The fight with Fortissax showed that the aura around the Revenant is Death Blight - it's _identical_ to the death mist that Fortissax spawns
2. The Royal Revenant is 10000% a Bloodborne enemy.
It is the body horror of Ludvig mixed with the frenzy of the various beast bosses, for sure.
it literally makes noises straight from bloodborne too
@@teetheluchador It _moves_ like a Bloodborne enemy! It even dodges like one! It looks like it was MADE for gun-parrying, the way it tends to lift up before attacking, like you're meant to have a clear target to shoot just as it attacks
YUP! That's what I thought! Another point to a Bloodborne/Elden Ring crossover! It looks like it already started! Like the fan theory that's becoming more and more credible, especially if you really know your H.P. Lovecraft lore, that the Outer Gods are the same ones that's in Bloodborne, just with different names! The Hunter, before fighting the Royal Revenant:' S%#@! Here too!' (whips out the fire paper!)
Tbh I'm suprised we haven't seen a single revenant or royal revenant in deeproot depths I'm Glad they are not there because there are runebears there for godsake but wouldn't that place make the most sense for them to be there like they are undead same with the wormfaces like the place is filled with death the basilisk godwyn the crucible the mausoleum knights etc tbh I would rather have revenants in deeproot depths rather than that ones in the haligtree like WHY WHY ARE THERE 4 OF THEM
I was rooting for every single boss to beat this thing. It's my most hated enemy and nothing else comes close, because a brutally difficult enemy can be well-designed but this thing is complete trash.
So in a match up what would you want to win out of the following?
Ulcerated tree spirit (lake of rot variant)
Giant fingercreeper(from mountain of giants)
Royal revenant
Monster crow
Rune bear(consecrated snowfield variant)
Marionette trio with their berserk active (sword, spear and crossbow variants)
Pack of giant rats
Pack of dogs
Or
A pack of imps?
(For balancing they all have the same health pool, with the groups sharing a pool like the godskin duo)
@@adambrown6669 I would want the turret bell mausoleum to show up out of nowhere and nuke the whole battlefield 😂
When I saw that heal spells absolutely bend this freak, I always kept a strong heal incantation just in case lmao
It simple really, just bring great shield or side roll forward, he will proceed to hitting the air while you beating his back.
@@AgentYellowWang Roll forward and suddenly he's 90 miles away from you and has spun around and probably spit poison all over you by the time you get over to him.
Usually, I never cheer for one side throughout the whole roster. This time, I wanted every single boss to obliterate my most hated enemy in the game. 🙃
I was yelling in my head, "burn it! BURN IT *BUUUURRNNNN ARGHGHGH!* " I hate the revenants so much.
I agree, royal revenant is like allah in this game
Agreed usually I have a hard time rooting because I love almost every boss and want to see them win this asshole can burn in hell

9:35 - Watching the revenant getting fried by the lasers to its misreable death deserves to be in a satisfying video compliation.
For real
12:35 Bruh. Astel just teleported to the spot he teleported from. I guess having an Eye in place of a Brain really doesn't help with thinking skills.
🤣🤣🤣
A few points:
1: Godrick, Rennala, Gideon, and the Ancestor Spirit did a lot better than I expected
2: Black Blade Kindred, Death Rite Bird, and Radahn did a lot worse than I expected
3: I was surprised when the Royal Revenant was defeated the first time; I didn't expect him to be defeated several times in a row after that
he got zero poise
@@kaiserdetectivegolden2735 who does?
@@Omnywrench the revenant
It is also heavily RNG dependent: his slappy-slaps move deals a ridiculous amount of damage and had he decided to use it/use it more he probably could’ve turned a few of the losses around.

@@Trimondius"The revenant call" a enemy with twice the hands, aggression and speed of the royal revenant, can heal when hitting you and has sleep status effect AND can summon a royal revenant when with half health...you're welcome!
@@Trimondius It might be in the DLC!
Watching Placidusax and Maliketh totally wallop the revenant was so satisfying. I was worried for Maliketh but his phase 2 pulled through and smashed it. The big surprise for me was the laser Golem.
I've noticed that every enemy with a "continuous" attack, like poison puddles or gas attacks tend to be capable of dealing thousands of damage with each use. The peak example of these lasting hitboxes being LASER GOLEM
Some enemies are just broken by nature
@@BjornTheBear Very much so. Though it'd be interesting to see how many matches would flip if things like clouds didn't do damage and only did status build up. Take the Rennala fight for instance, like 90% of the damage was from the puddle
Normally the moves knock the player down or out of the move so it doesn't do too much damage, but that doesn't apply to bosses so they can end up dealing hundreds of times more damage than intended
@@orangenostril Eeyup, it becomes exceedingly obvious after comparing something like a poison pool doing 2000+ damage in a single go, to Placidusax's lightning nuke doing 700 damage. It's because Placi's nuke is a single instance of damage, which is supposed to deal "high" damage to players
@@somedudewithakeyboard5388I think damage would be fine if the boss ai worked against other ai. bosses will avoid lingering stuff and projectiles if it's used by a player but they'll just stand and take it if an NPC does it
Happy to have seen Astel win, but I wish his grab was enabled 😂
Same here, and also same thing with Godfrey
15:20 Me fighting a spider with a trash can lid
Where do you live to have such spiders 😂😂

Almost lost to the Regal Ancestor Spirit, that has to be the worst feeling ever.
It underestimated the ancestor
Crazy that joke boss "dies in one hit" gideon got so close to beating mister scampers, closer than many tougher bosses did. Even the easy deer boss almost got him, while several nasty ones just got beat easy. Pretty wild he got mary jane rottencrotch down to her second form though, and managed to defeat big red and the god fish.
Feels like Rykard only really won due to his lava field and double HP bar attrition. Fire giant got him because his targeting was focusing on the armored ankle instead of the rotting one.
Rykard did only win because of his lava, it's an unfair advantage he has in these kinds of enemy vs enemy scenarios, as like with Malenia's second phase opener the enemy AI has no way to avoid it.
@@CodeRed99911Well the revenant did have the poise mist so I think bosses sliding their signature move is fine.
Ya know, I've gotten so used to seeing the Godskin Duo get absolutely wrecked in these videos that it's kind of refreshing to see them steamroll their opponent.
It was a close fight though not exactly a steamroll
Idea I'd love to see: Can any boss survive 5-10 (idk how OP they'd be) giant oracle envoys (the Haligtree ones).
"Ready the trumpet boys, all the demigods of the Lands Between are about to experience the most killer jazz ever!"
This sounds great
Honestly, Gideon did good.
Where were you when he NEED HELP!
Same for the ancestor spirit.
Yepp! He even killed it with Scarlet Rot (off screen)
If he had only used more holy spells, then he would have won 😅
I NEED HELP never fails to crack me up
I'd still love to see a Radagon and Red wollf ( strongest form) vs all bosses!
Will do for sure dude
@@BjornTheBear You're the GOAT!
Good idea.
Doggo and owner vs another duo with maliketh 😅
@@BjornTheBear I don't know if I can take Radagon losing so much tho lol
When there was only one multi-armed horror left standing, I'm glad that it was Astel, Stars of Darkness. So many good battles out of this one!
Gideon just another one joining the tarnished corpse mountain with us all lol
🤣🤣 Poor Gideon
The fact that this is just a "normal" enemy in the game, to me is astounding. I audibly complained every time they appeared and found them much harder to deal with than a lot of the harder bosses.
It's such a cool and hard boss at the same time
I remember (and Haligtree from normal enemies standpoint was actually where i burnt out from game. I killed Radagon and Elden Beast though. Bursted down Mohg easily (just blocked Nihil damage) Pretty sure i could've dealt with Malenia as well eventually... But normal enemies?! Especially tree spirits and revenants)
Anyways back to topic. I climbed through "roofs" of Haligtree city and hear revenant below. Ok, not a problem. I have Loretta Mastery, so can easily murder things even far away. So i shoot.
2 seconds later that little b*tch teleported 25 meters above on small AF roof crossing and pushed me down. I died. Pathetically. Fuck this.
Previously i also murdered revenants with ranged attacks and they did nothing like that, so i was really unsettled. And if they use their teleport ability these revenants were actually a problem for my magic build.
Well, eventually i took a break and lost safe file, so despite completing a game, i won't do it again just to kill Placidusax and Malenia (and to do Fia questline, i suppose)
@@DimkaTsv just letting you know that you didn't need to "deal" with any ravenents to get to any of the remembrance bosses, that lower part of epheal is completely optional and not needed to reach melania, also if you just dodge to the side they just keep going and you can hit them with ranged attacks.
@@Ghorda9 Yeah definitely one of those "RUN AWAY!!" enemies lol

He realized midspeech there he was next
Yknow I'm fairly confident that if Regal Ancestor had had access to the spirits to heal itself with, it might actually have pulled that off. The Revenant isn't smart enough to get out of the AoE damage Regal deals while healing, and he did damn well even without it.
You would think chadagon would have won, with all that holy damage...
Royal revents have holy resistance, look it up
Royal ones have 40% holy resistance
Iit is healing incantations that deals damage to them.
revenants are resistant to holy damage for some reason. it's only healing spells that hurt them
The fact it actually tried to run from Rick at the beginning just how powerful Rick is
The corpses of the bosses that stay behind, makes it even creepier, its like past warriors who fell to the Revenant remain there to intimidate other warriors.
That was the idea 😀
I laughed so hard when Hoarah Loux was just bopping whilst being poisoned
Finally did this episode! I have been wanted to watch this fights!
I came down here to check if any Placi fans had come to celebrate, then forgot this came out minutes ago, but at any rate PLACE FOR THE WIN
Placi is a good boy
I think it’s crazy that the bosses don’t move out of the green poison fog, you would think they would be programmed to move away from an area that deals constant damage to them.
Souls/Elden Ring bosses always have weird issues with handling DoT area effects. Pestilent Mist (formerly Pestilent Mercury) in DS3 was infamous for melting bosses, up to and including Darkeater Midir.
Your cinematography has gotten so good! Really enjoying these!
Glad you enjoy my content dude
revenant: gets to +90% stats in one go
also revenant: loses all other fights until the end of the video.
2:00 I love how he mocked Rennala's death cry
The Colossal Finger Creeper (the HUGE one) would be cool to see as well! Maybe with other smaller hands on his team since I don’t think he is all that strong by himself
Ooh! Nice how about how many godricks does it take to defeat bosses
Ok, I was totally NOT expecting him to kill the God Devouring serpent... that was unexpected.
I love Morgott laying there during the Malenia fight
The first thing that managed to kill me on my first playthrough was a revenant in Raya Lucaria bog. After that, I discovered that you can deal massive damage with AoE heals and the problem was solved. Such an aggressive monstrosity.
I really like watching the Royal Revenant get bullied.
I'm glad you started to include the Laser Golem in these videos. He may not be a boss, but his damage is kind of insane.
He gave me more trouble that some of the actual bosses that are supposed to be the actual big walls.
Gotta admit, Gideon actually put up a surprisingly good fight.
First time I encountered a Royal Revenant, I actually got scared and angry at the same time, and I never tried to fight one again until NG+2
You used Regal Ancestor Spirit and Fortissax, nice! I always wondered why don’t you use those two, specially that they’re remembrance bosses
I feel like I don't often see the Ancestor Spirit in these types of vids. It did well!
I loved when Mohg said "It's nihilling time" and nihiled all over the revenant.
Can the Red Hair Hammer guy with the glowing insides and the Elden Beast survive all the Elden Ring Bosses?
Maliketh & Malenia: That's the neat part, they can't!
@@TheStraightestWhitest Placidusax, Hoarah Loux, Mohg and Fire Giant agreed.
@@fallen9997 Pretty sure he beats Mohg and Fire Giant, loses to Maliketh tho
@@orangenostril maybe he beats Mohg, because Bleed immunity, but Fire Giant wins.
I’d like to start by saying I love your content. May I humbly suggest adding the “togethaaaaaaaa” sound bite for phase 2 snek man.
At 2:39, watch how the Revenant fazed out of existence briefly. I didn’t know they could do that. It reminded me of what the Dragon Lord does at half HP. I thought they could only teleport via going into the ground/pocket dimension.
He dodged Radahn’s opening attack with it. I feel like this thing could no-hit each boss if it really wanted to.
I find it very fascinating how it fights the urge to not go underground but still comes from below ready to deal damage. 3:38 Like did it not want to submerge itself underground even though thats its own ability. Idk why this has me thinking so hard. Sometimes i feel like the Devs didnt even animate these creatures. Like every individual creature in this game is its own embodiment.
Makes me think that every limb on the thing still has a will of its own. Revenants don't know what they're doing, all they know is KILL; I don't think they're even aware of their burrow ability and it just keeps surprising them whenever it happens.
It's like an insect - purely reactive.
Maliketh did some work on this fool with that % based damage. Also Mohg only needed NIHIL to kill him.
Dang. Vid should've been called can the Revenant beat any bosses. Lol. Maybe a triple Stat Revenant would be more formidable. It is definitely awesome to see him land that 10 hit Tekken Combo though. Either way, appreciate the work you put in to make these fun videos.
That was some impressive damage against Rick. Until I remember he has 2,836 phases
That man Gideon always delivers the best lines
Imagine if we had a boss similar to the Dragonslayer Armor from Dark Souls 3. Greatshields always stop a Revenant since it always deflects their attacks. A boss with a greatshield and giant axe would destroy that thing...
I've never played the game but I love the content, fire giant is by far one of my favorite bosses
I love the I need help voice line!
i love how the revenant is basically a menace for anyone no matter what ..... unless it's a rock inside the arena ... then his AI completely skipps and goes : fuck this shit im out xD
These things are why I always have at least 12 faith and heal on every character.
I love the sir Gideon HELPnir looking at defeated morgott and basically saying "hey you did good, fek i really need help"
The fire giant looks like someone trying to squash a particularly aggressive centipede lol
It’s surprising that Sir Gideon offnir was able to do more damage than Radahn
You should have Malenia go through a "Strongest Minibosses" gauntlet.
Revenant here was tearing right through just as much as she was tearing through it.
Actually, screw that, how about a Bosses vs Mini-bosses gauntlet? Since a lot of the minibosses can seemingly tear straight through most main bosses anyway.
I saw what you did at the end with Elden beast that was cold lol
What did I do?
Ah yes, Rick and his two killer moves, serious horizontal slash and serious down slash
Didn’t expect the Regal to do better than most bosses
Neither did I
Rather than make it stronger i think just unleash 5 of them, just like in Elphael. And see how Malenia likes it.
Hear me out if you haven't done a video on them yet, banished knight/farum azula army vs all bosses I love those guys plus they're pretty strong and great video as always bjorn
The bodies of the bosses being left there really makes it seem like they've stepped into its hunting grounds
That was the idea
I've beaten the game like three times by now and started several new save files, but there are three things I'll never fight. Rune bears, royal revenants, and those damn stormveil hawks
Same here. I intentionally avoid the areas where you can fight revenants and the late game rune bears. Don't care what item they are guarding. Not worth it lol.
Must be arteria leaf.
That poison spit is just too strong, it just cheesed all the bosses with that move.
I'd love to see fights where we could somehow modify bosses/enemies behavior to get away from Malenia's flower. Wonder how many fights would go differently.
Good 'ol Placi, hittin 'em with the Lightning Claw Drive-By
Yo anyone else never seen such passive bosses in their life? I don't think they messed with the AI but damn i need this revanents luck!
I always get frustrated when I see people fight passive Malenia who isn't spamming Waterfowl dance.
Wait, Mohg always sleeps in the Egg with Miquella, right?
