- On the eve of his testimony before a congressional committee, Sam Salehpour, a Boeing engineer, tells NBC News' Tom Costello that he raised concerns to his superiors about a number of issues, including a gap between parts of the 787's fuselage that is not up to Boeing's specs. Boeing insists the plane is safe and has shown no signs of fatigue.

Imagine if we put out a product that killed about 500 people. And then said “trust me. our product is safe now.”
Wrong airplane
@@dwaynedonnelly Wouldn't someone working in the company telling you that there's a production flaw with the 787 also be something that you need to know?
Human lives are cheap these days to Boeing
Like drug companies do ALL the time?
@CliffPaul same company with terrible quality control
"Beoing" and "whistleblower" in the same title seems to lead to "suicide"
They got him.
Another one bites the dust now 😑
RIP whistleblower, you will be remembered.
Lol.. I know it’s not funny but I was thinking the same thing. How sad that it has come to this!
That special Boeing severance package.
One month later: boeing whistleblower found dead in apparent suicide, he was found to have multiple gunshots to the back
Multiple self inflicted gun shot wounds found at the back of the skull*

And what will that achieve ? It’s all talk
After the funeral.
They were called in during the first crashes.
That has happened already lol nothing has changed
Already happened, nothing happened 😂
Boeing and the FAA have lost all credibility. As far as im concerned any whistleblower has more credibility than that that manufacturer
These CNC production jobs just expect more and more numbers while quality suffers along with pay for their employees. What used to be a precision manufacturing job has become so automated that the skill level has declined and the pay is like $25-30 an hour ( if you’re lucky ). A CNC machinist deserves 50-60 an hour but they make garbage. Half of what it’s really worth. Profits and production come before safety and employees. They’re already behind schedule and more quality issues are sure to arise because of this.
I believe the whistleblower. The whistleblower must be protected from getting fatally harm from Boeing company bosses.
he was proved wrong!

Boeing: Let's ignore this problem and see. What could go wrong?
The whistleblower didn't only mention the 787, but also the 777, which Boeing did not deny...
Boeing says that they're not concerned, but how many of them are flying on the plane. Boeing says that retaliation is prohibited which doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. Boeing says that it encourages employees to speak up and come forward with their concerns, but it doesn't say that it actually acts upon those concerns or anything that their employees bring forward.
He's about to get Boeing'd like John Barnett.

A production flaw is like the bathroom door is installed in a way, that it might be stuck and slam into someone's face if they pull it too hard. This is premeditated homicide.
not for not...but the plane shown on the diagram in the article was an airbus A330!

BREAKING NEWS: WHISTLEBLOWER FOUND DEAD WITH WHISTLE LODGED IN REAR END.

"Inaccurate." Not, "False."
As long as the money they would have to pay out to victims of accidents doesn't exceed profits, they don't care.
Its false 😂 he made a baseless claim with no evidence to back it up
RIP
Stress testing one aircraft does not ensure the safety of an entire fleet of aircraft. checks and balances do the FAA need to do in-person inspections and not let Boeing do it themselves. Boeing should also do inflight testing and not computer simulations for testing of newer aircraft. Also recreating order of operation in their production is important every shift should need to sign off on the work done so the upcoming shifts know and don't miss something basic and important like bolts to a door plug.
I’m flying from Denver to Frankfurt one 😂 helllllppppp hahahahaha
R.i.p
Boeing is all on that Stockton Rush type of denial. "Composites are superior, yada yada..."

I might die in a crash as well. Either way the best is yet to come.
Yeah sure. Boeing encourages its employees to come found… like the one that was recently put in the ground. How much longer can these companies be allowed to prioritize profit over human life?
Boeing: we investigated ourselves and found no issues
Whistleblower: Found dead
Another suicidal one
I’m so grateful to every whistleblower! Thank you. As for the FAA, ground all planes and fix these problems. You now know what many of them are!
Now US Marshals needs to protect the 787 whistleblower. You don’t want him to suddenly die by “suicide.”
Too late.
every time Boeing releases a new model. theres always some crashes before they say “ok now we fixed the problem”
I flown dozends of 787s and have never been in any 787 (no matter how new) that didn't have any problems.
Broken seats, broken entertainment systems, windows, toillets whatever. Of course, Boeing fanatics will claim that none of these are safety-relevant, but it says a lot that on average my 787 flights have had more problems than my 767 flights (with airplanes that are 20+ years old).
A CAR is SAFER when You can Drive😂😂😂😂😂
the government should take over.
He should take out a multimillion dollar life insurance
I saw this news last week on TikTok. Why it is so late on RUclips?
If that's the case then fly with airbus. Boeing's quality control issues will potentially have a major incident down the road.
Airbus has issues too so no one should fly them either

Boeing bots are strong so far in this comment section. Or maybe the same software engineers paid nine bucks an hour on the 737 are in this thread too....

Boeing whistleblower found dead with three bullets in his head. FBI said it was a suicide
That's our FBI for ya'!
To date have there been any incidents involving the fuselage of the 787 Dreamliner ?
Time will tell 🙏
Never go on new Boeing, rather fly older Boeing such as Boeing 707, 727, 737 (Original, Classic, NG), 747, 757, 767, 777, etc.
older Boeings will not fly for much longer
So? Is this time going to be an accident or is it going to be another suicide?
None of this makes any sense.
All products have flaws....😂😂😂
FAA "certified" Boeing planes keep landing less of a plane than when they took off. God forbid if half a Dreamliner breaks off after take off!
why would it
The press needs to show his line of reasoning. I want to see reason with diagrams. Then perhaps I could help. The press is just talking in a vague way.

Soo Boeing acknowledged the gaps, and claim they fixed the problem years ago while the whistleblower is saying the problem isn't fixed and will eventually happen later down the line ... Who you think I'm about to believe???🤣
Boeing is such a great company they will fix this issue!!!
Just because a whistleblower says something, doesn’t mean it’s true. Engineers opinion and interpretations differ all the time. The fact that no 787 or 777 has crashed after millions of miles and decades of service. The 787 is also made of one piece carbon fiber fuselage, almost impossible to break apart.
Wow you trust Boeing lol you’re a dummy
No 777 has crashed?
Two Malaysia airlines, one British Airways, one Asiana airlines...
Ok, one of the Malaysia was shot down.
Sounds like a plant to me...
@@filipeorr7821 Ok but none of those flights were Boeing design related. The other Malaysia flight was possibly caused by the pilot, and is technically unsolved anyway. Asiana was pilot error. BA was a design flaw in the engines, which aren't designed by Boeing in the first place. As far as we should be concerned, the 777 is fine.

LOL 787 is one of the safest planes in operation. This guy is a joke.
So Boeing has performed all the necessary stress tests 3 times the life of any 787 with the data to back it up. Yet, this quality engineer feels differently because he thinks it’s not good even though he admits he hasn’t see all the data. I’ve been in the aviation industry for 20+ years and have worked with some doofus quality engineers and this guy meets the criteria. BTW, I work for one of Boeing’s competitors and my opinion is for sure unbiased. Some people just want attention.
