No consideration, of course, for the safety of the flying public in a 787 or 777. I hope Sam Salenpour gets proper protection. He is a brave man to speak out. There has never been a point in human history where the markets have been _effectively_ regulated/checked for quality assurance and safety-the Commies took shortcuts in manufacturing too. The closest I can think of are safety features in cars, but even then there are loopholes regarding trucks/SUVs here in America-oh and of course the blinding headlight situation too.
It isn’t “capitalism” or any economic model per se (other than an industrialized world, I suppose), it’s cheap opportunism to make completing your task easier. I don’t know how you can regulate humans not to behave like that, or for the protective systems put in place not to rot and give way to what’s more convenient. In the modern world, we’re keen to reduce ourselves with what’s more convenient.

As someone in a large scale manufacturing industry if everything he says is true, Boeing is in a massive problem. Even if they start today to fix this problem and admit the mistakes it will be years before full consumer confidence is regained. Those engineering and manufacturing shortcuts are shocking.

3:40 Here's one problem i hear a lot. These cooperations buyout or replace inspection companies with their own. Controlling what actually gets reported and to who. Why they can actually threaten the engineer with no consequences.

I don't believe Boeing is alone in this dysfunctional negligent Q.C. corruption.
Anyone remember that big auto maker with car with the faulty ignition switch and short spring ? The company would rather get sued in court, pay damages than fix the problem.

Having a Ethnically professional Engineer is a blessing to Boeing.
U definitely don't want a hospital to get the wrong doctors doing shortcut for your kids surgery or sending your kids on risky plane flights 😢
