I must truly THANK YOU for this video!!! I am NO DOLL DRESSMAKER!!! Not at all!!! I watched this video over and over for about 2 hours - and made a decent looking dress for a lovely doll that was gifted to me by a miniaturist that I don't even know! She saw my posts on fb, and asked for an address to send me a gift! I wish I could show you a picture of my little doll in her pink and off white dress!!! She is not happy with her dress. She requested modifications. I was wondering why she insisted the little girl be in the photo.She was trying to cover her dress! SO I must go back to the drawing board to see if i can make it up to her! LOLOLOL!!

LOL! Thank you! 😊 I think it's because I've been doing it so long! Plus I've always been a little rebellious when it comes to measuring. I always have to make adjustments based on the dolls different body types, so I just end up customizing the whole thing! Thank you for watching!

Hello, I love the dresses, each one is unique and beautiful, thank you for showing us how you make them, all the finishing touches are what make them special, they seemed to suit each doll perfectly, the colours really brought out the character of each doll too, there seemed to be an inkling of personalities appearing in each of their faces when the dresses were completed, you are so talented and your doll are a credit to you, I'm looking forward to your next video. You have magic fingers! I love your dresses. Amazon has packets of small lace and crochet edgings. I was really pleased with them and I thought about you when I was going through them.
Yes they do have nice packets of trims. I also stalk ebay for vendors with small prints, trim and lace! I need to include those in the description! Thank you for reminding me!! LOLOLOLOL!!
Great dressings, especially the blue 'suit'--love that one! You can buy a turning tool, called a bodkin, for turning those tiny sleeves; but I've always had good luck with a tiny safety pin. 😊

The dresses look amazing. You do such lovely work and make it look so simple. But after trying to glue a simple pillow seam, I’ll stick to a needle and thread, much easier for me! 😂
I totally understand! Learning something new can be frustrating! I used needle and thread for years until I realized there was GLUE specifically for FABRIC Crafts! For me the GLUE gives me so much Freedom and flexibility, because if I don't like it I can just pull it off!!!LOOLOLOLL! Thank you for watching!

Hi Shelley! Thank Most of My Dolls, I make myself. I will be doing a complete video to show how i create them. But the ones in this video 2 were gifts, one I got from Ann Arbor Miniature show and the 2 in the middle I got from Minimum world.com.
Ok so do you make them from pictures you've seen or you make them up from that wonderful imagination of yours, girl I was smiling the whole time. Love love love your work 18:03
ALL Dolls are created and dressed from my imagination! No real plan I just start working and I stop when I'm happy with it! I have looked an pictures from the early 1900 up to 1920 for inspiration, just to get an idea of how people dressed, then i do my own thing! Thank you for being here!
Thanks for this. I always have such difficulty with picking fabric that has the right scale. Does that worry you or do you have the knack of knowing what will work?
Hi Kelley! I know what I want but it is challenging finding really small prints. I do kinda have an eye for it because I've been doing it so long. I generally go for quilting fabrics, like the Calico prints. Scale really does matter ALOT with doll clothes. I search eBay for doll making fabrics, fine small prints. Lightweight fabrics drape better. Also, I Thrift sometimes and baby clothes have small prints if you can find a good deal! I will check my vendor list to see who I ordered from over past year. Hi Mary!!! Thank you for watching ❤️ 😃 The Dolls in this video I bought but I re-dressed and wigged them. I do have several videos on how I create, dress and wig a 12th scale Doll house Dolls ❤️😃
To be clear I don't "string" Dolls at all. 😊
Too much glue will bleed through and mark the fabric, a small glue applicator with a fine metal tip allow you to use a fine line of glue.
Can't see clearly as the long nails are in the way!!!
