This is such an amazing method! It ensures the hair looks natural and that no part of the mesh is seen. On top of that, the part looks like hair is coming up and out from the scalp instead of straight down... BRILLIANT.
These dolls are better than barbies, if you sold in stores, you swear my room would be full of them. New Subscriber and Congratulations! You're channel is amazing!
I love the way you cut the wig cap to create the part, it looks very natural. I've never seen anyone else do that, great job!!! When I try my hand at making a doll wig I will refer back up your tutorial
UNNiEDOLLS I will let you know how it turns out. I've been wanting to make wigs for my dolls for a while (I don't believe I have the patience for re-rooting yet) and now that you've shown a different method I'm excited to try now.
I was watching the video and I was like: "what about the part in the hair. What about the glue on the end." But then I watched more and saw that you cut the wig and put the hair on the inside and my mind was blown
I thank you for this idea. Iam using your basic idea to make hats for the smallo heads I make out of polymer clay. I have tried several methods to make the cones of the hat for various styles but nothing worked well until trying your idea. I use old t-shirts and wood glue over baked clay molds. Then decorate and add rims and they turn out nice. Thanks for your idea!!
Hi UNNiEDOLLS, I hope you are doing well? I found this Doll wig Tutorial an amazing and easy way to make a wig. The END result is Super Fantastic. Excellent job. Thank you for sharing your videos. I really enjoy your videos and as always like and share. Wishing you the very BEST! Take care and have a wonderful week. Keep on Crafting your passions. Peace & Joy :D
Thank you so much. This is the best wig tutorial I have seen. I'm making dolls and want to go the next step above fake fur wigs. lol. they still come out cute I think
Thank you so much for sharing, I have been trying to figure out how to do this! You make it look so easy, I bet my first wig will like a frazzled mess.

I actually used the hair extensions which are for humans😂 but it still worked well with the tutorial u gave ❤ THANK U MY DOLL LOOKS LIKE A SUPERSTAR❤❤❤🎉🎉
This was truly an awesome video. what lengths did you cut the hair? You see when you were done they were all the same length...now that is some kind of trick there. If I would try this I wouldn't be as lucky. I'd end up having layered hair and having to cut it. How is it that you didn't?
I'm cutting a lot of hair, that much which I think will be enough for the whole wig. Then I'm starting to make the "wefts" by glueing them together. So, at the end, they will be the same length (approximately). The last step is I'm adjusting the length, by cutting some hair off and I'm trying to create the hairstlye.
I really love this!! I wanted to make my doll a Rin Kagamine cosplay, but i didn’t want to cut her hair...and i cant sew, so this really helped!! Thank you!?
Omg!😳 I've watched so many doll wig tutorials and this one is the Best of all!! I thought you had to repaint the face first! Great channel!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👌Just subscribed!! Thank you!⚘ This is very helpful!!
For safety reasons, I like to do the wig before the faceup, but there are cases when you don't have a choice (especially if making a wig for a painted doll that you just bought or if a friend's doll needs a wig).
xPeanutButterx LVRDS go to a store that sells weave you can buy a bag for cheap and still havE ALOT of hair left to make more dolls, you could also just buy bundles (it's hair already put together)
I don't know why, maybe because of the PVC glue, but if I keep the wig on the doll head, it is kind of sticking to it after 1-2 days, s it won't move around, also it is a bit harder to remove, because I have to kind of peel off the head. I don't know if it is just this PVC glue or every PVC glue does the same. Or it is just a weird reaction between the vinyl head? However, the head is looking nice, without any damage, only the stickiness of the wig cap is conspicuous.
When I was watching this... I had an idea. I figured that you could take a toothpick or a metal pin and poke holes in the cap everywhere there's a hole in the mesh. Then... you could grab like 10-15 strands of hair, stick them through the holes, and tie knots in it. That way the hair is actually woven into the cap instead of just glued on.
Its easier if you glue it down onto plastic and after it dries it easily peels off and you can trim it straight across to make the wefts..I make 1 inch wefts..
You really don't need to glue it when you pull it out from under the wig cap at the parting....just carefully use your hair straightener to press it into the right position on all sides..if you have one coming out from the crown too, and close the parting in the wigcap...see Dinga's repaints to see what I mean.
Try out your glue on a fabric! Glue a piece of fabric, wait until dries. After dried, put your fabric piece under cold, then warm, then hot water for 5-10 minutes /each temperature. I never recommend to use hot water for washing these types of wigs (you can burn yourself and you can melt the glue-wig), but it is great to know how durable is your glue/wig:) If the glue will not melt under cold and warm water, use cold/warm water to clean your wig. I think 5-10 minutes is enough to wash/clean a wig, so if your glue is durable enough, you can clean your wig whenever you want:) ... or just follow "HappyCreepy ThugPug" 's advice:)
I like the way you are making the wefts as thin and flat as possible! I think this will make a more realistic looking wig. Especially on a really small doll like this Obitsu 11 that you are using. I am learning how to do this for a couple of 11cm dolls I am waiting for. I think I will use it for some of my big dolls too as their hair gets tangles really easily and it's good to have extra wigs for using when you are washing and detangling there hair! Thanks for this... I am happy I found you doing a wig for a tiny doll as a lot of people wouldn't bother but I would rather they have hair (I saw someone else using a 3D printer thing to simulate hair because they said they couldn't get hair to sit properly on a tiny doll.... I would have tried finer fibres like mohair myself before giving up! I thought it was an Obitsu 11 but it's a 27 or something closer to that...it's still great because the heads on Obitsu are smaller than Barbie or Monster High as they're more realistic in their dimensions... I still think this is much more helpful because you showed us how to make the parting realistic and how you put the two sides back together with tulle.
I am honestly just so impressed with this tutorial. Your solution for concealing the part is mind blowing - how did I never think of cutting it open??
This is such an amazing method! It ensures the hair looks natural and that no part of the mesh is seen. On top of that, the part looks like hair is coming up and out from the scalp instead of straight down... BRILLIANT.
Thank you:) and I'm glad you like this parting method:)
Very clever method of approaching the part! That always seems to be a problem area for wig-making. Thank you for this fantastic tutorial!
Thank you, I'm glad my video was useful:)
OMG, dolligthful, i love your videos

That part line technique is genius! I can’t wait to try it!
Incredibly helpful! Haven't seen this "cut open - glue last weaves inside" technique! looks amazing.

Cutting the end part is genius. This looks so much better than the part first method! I'm going to definitely do it this way next wig! Thanks!
I was watching the video and I was like: "what about the part in the hair. What about the glue on the end." But then I watched more and saw that you cut the wig and put the hair on the inside and my mind was blown

Great tip about making the part! We don't have anything called "tacky glue", can anyone list the ingredients?
The materials are listed in the description box. If you don't have Tacky glue, try to find some other UNIVERSAL white glue, which dries clear.
Thank you! The only white glue we have here is PVA glue, which isn't tacky in the least. I'm thinking about trying strips of weak double-sided tape.
ThexBlackxKitty Ohh, I think the double-sided glue will not work :(
Try out that PVA glue and let me know how the wig turned out!:)

well I think you can't. Just washthe hair and clean it before you make the wig.
