I use to make doll dresses for Barbie it took me days to get through it all ,I started to trace the patterns on a see through fabric that was more durable then after cutting out the patterns onto fabric I used Frey check on the cut edges of the fabric that took longer cause it had to dry , then pressing the fabrics to get them to fit straight and sewing dart seems also pinning lace down on satin so it won’t shift , the one dress I made from a pattern was very tedious because of the layering of tiny black sparkle tulle over a black taffeta fabric that one was very time consuming and some of those dresses took two weeks to complete someone bought all the ones I made I still have the patterns and I learnt as a went, they all were beautiful one had pink lace and pink satin very shifty fabric but it turned out beautifully, and I tried to pick tiny patterns fabric to make sense of the creation and size for Barbie size , and to align the dress right I had to place it on the doll so it would fit right in the end then I hand stitched tiny snaps on the back it’s a lot of fun and it takes a lot of time , there’s a tulle I bought once and I never was able to find it again , it had very tiny sparkles on it it looked like the night sky
