I love how he's straight into telling you how bad the movie is
Exactly! "Oh it's bad? Why is it bad?" That's how my brain works and I wanna find out more.
Yea but he is one of few who didn't
liked.. other reviewers said that the movie was ok
This movie was amazing.
They keep it REAL! So sad this movie was a letdown. It's called the NUN and she's hardly in it. I can't believe this is already available for streaming. Whataya think about my NUN2 drawings on my channel? Lemme know.
Movie was boring. The first one was better.
This new trope of all the scary parts being in the trailers is one of the most idiotic things in recent horror movies
It isn't actually, it's brilliant lmao, it's exactly what gets people to spend their hard earned money if they're under the perception it's genuinely scary
@@patrickmacasaet3493one jump scare is enough. Not most of it haha
"Cant spell ignorant without ign" 😂
You can hear the years of disappointment in his voice while he says it 😭
AJ gets soo pissed after Alex says that at 23:54 😬
That look was scarier than the whole Nun movie 😭😭
Aj knows it’s the truth that’s why
The only way to sort of enjoy this kind of "horror" movie is to play a game "spot the jump scare". Which I did with my daughter when we watched and we nailed almost every single one. Even the cracked glass scene early one. It's hilarious.
She even made a remark "wouldn't it be cool if the goat comes alive from the glass?" and it happened 😂😂😂
What ones did you fail at finding at first, then?
I hope you weren't talking during the movie..... I don't care how crap the movie is, that shit is annoying and disrespectful. Most people are trying to watch.
Otherwise I did the same in my head watching the movie lol
@@justinhaffenden no worries, we just pointed our fingers at the screen and drown our misery inside our overpriced bag of popcorn. We might have giggled a bit here and there but we kept it to ourselves 😁
@@crazyluigi6664 I admit, it has a few memorable shots. Like when Maurice walks out from the first church where he burned a priest, his silhouette becomes Valak. And of course, the magazine stand scene is a very nice touch.
I think we managed to find/guess all the major ones.
This movie was FINE. people have such unrealistically high standards for horror nowadays. I don't want every horror movie to be Hereditary. I love that movie, but it is not fun to watch. you wanna know how to enjoy an average horror movie? DRINK. 7:33 All these RUclipsrs use braindead hyperbole for every horror movie that comes out. "THIS MOVIE IS OFFENSIVELY BAD" Take your medication bro. Jump scares are a staple in horror movies and they only get obnoxious if you think like a film critic. this movie was exactly as good as I expected. I honestly don't see how it could be better without becoming another psychological horror, which seems to be the expectation for every new horror movie. It was cool when the goat came alive from the glass. it was also cool when that light turned on and the nun became a stain on the wall. When the demon started throwing those kids around the room, I laughed my ass off. It was better than the first one, and people are acting like it's the worst movie ever made. it was well shot, it was easy to follow, and I cared enough about the characters. sure it wasn't scary but it was fun, and that's why people watch movies.
At 16:31 The way Alex responds with a disappointed “yeah” is why I love him on this channel. 😂

Boooooo 🗣👎🏾
Who would have thought it wasn’t worth it. Nun 2. XD
🤓
"Cloister-fuck". Another 10/10 from Alex 🤣
As I was watching The Nun 2, I kept thinking about the fact that it kinda lacks the same thing that I believed was absent in The Conjuring 3: tension. Later that day I looked it up and found out both movies were made by the same director, which made me go like ohhh, that explains a lot. XD
As for this movie... I don't really know. I personally didn't like it that much, but didn't completely hate it, either. It had some nice moments that were visually creepy. For example, I liked the shots in which you could barely distinguish the demon nun's silhouette in the darkness and the only reason you knew it was there was because of the camera angle and the white accents in its clothing. I thought those moments were cool. I also liked the goat demon thingie and the staircase sequence, that actually was kinda creepy. So it had its moments here and there, but overall it was just... plain, I guess. The soundtrack didn't really match the tone of the movie, either, which I believe is one big reason for the lack of tension, a compelling sountrack could've helped the mood quite a bit. They didn't even use that super creepy music they used in the opening sequence of the first movie, it would have been nice to bring it back at least once.
Overall, I'm quite disappointed with the whole approach of these two movies, even if I found some enjoyable parts in both. I had high hopes, because I LOVED Valak in The Conjuring 2. I thought it was a brilliantly creepy demonic entity. So I was looking forward to seeing how they were going to handle its origin story. Unfortunately, they went with a rather generic horror storyline each time, when the true creepiness of this demon came from how mysterious and ominous its presence was every single time it was on screen in The Conjuring 2. In my opinion, they should have played more with that mystery instead of the "ancient demon obsessed with holy relicts" storyline.
i like C3 alot. I like how they did a twist on the ghost/spirit thing and turn it into a wizard fight. It's cheesy yes but enjoyable.
Your reviews of terrible horror movies will never get boring.
@@Elatenlit's nothing special tho no reason to watch it over talk to me for example
It’s safer to just assume all horror movies will be garbage, you’ll rarely be wrong
@@Elatenl AJ is usually very positive, so there's a good chance that whatever movie he dislikes is pretty awful. Based on what they mentioned in the spoiler review, it seems like a fair thing to say. I will probably watch it eventually, but at the very least it sounds cheesy and boring, which is the worst thing any movie can be. If they're not going to innovate the genre, then this "not terrible" movie is not worth anyone's time. Unless, I suppose, that's your first horror film.
They are always negative im still watching it
They're reviews are great! I was so disappointed. I really felt like I keep getting tricked with Conjuring related films. Even Blumhouse tricks me 😢
Is it me or can any one else see a scary face from the backdrop projection of the cinema chairs. If you take in the nun's hood and then you see two black rectangles as eyes and rows of seats as teeth. As I said it could just be me seeing this. Lol
my favriot part is when the nun said " its nuning time"
genuinely movie of movies
STOP WITH THIS STUPID MOTHERFUCKING MEME!!
My favorite part is when goat boy jumped off the painting and screamed menacingly "WHERES THE NEAREST PETTING ZOO!?!?!? "

As much as I find joes reviews funny I never take someone else's opinion as I prefer to find out myself.
Same
Facts thry basically say that every movie is bad
I don't even really remember what happened in the first one ☠️
One of the things that always pisses me off about these movies is that there's no rules. Like this. Demon is supposed to be like all powerful, but all it does is just spook people and let them go. Why doesn't it just rip their heads off or something?
The power of Patty compels you !! 😂
I didn't even know there was a Nun *2* 💀
Dam I was hoping this one would be good, thanks for the review guys be safe have a great day joe’s 👍💯
Was 🤔 about watching it today buy my man Joe says it's trash so Ima wait til it comes on Amazon I guess😂
It is good don't listen to them judge yourself
how bout you watch the movie for yourself. like a normal human being. you some kinda brainwashed drone that consumes youtube content and then goes into watching a movie with a preconception that its "bad" therefore incapable of enjoying the move even if you probably would have liked it if you didnt go into the movie with the seed in your head that its bad.
@@Butt--Headthat's the problem these days.Everyone judge before seeing it.There are trailers that are good and the movie sucks and vice versa. But i always watch the movies aniway whatever the reviews are bad or not it's called own mind

_The only good one out of the series with Valek (The Nun) in it was The Conjuring._ I highly Reccomend *Event Horizen* (1997), *Hellraiser II: Hellbound* (1988), *Hellraiser: Bloodline* (1996), *Bram Stoker's Dracula* (1992), *Dracula Untold* (2014), *House of a Thousand Corpses* (2003), *The Devils Rejects* (2005), *Silent Hill* (2006). _I would include_ *Salem's Lot* (1975) _but I think that is just to old for some people on RUclips to enjoy. These are all well written, scripted and directed with good actors/actress's_
Checkout the most recent hellraiser that one was also a good addition to the series
I tried Event Horizon a few times and I just don't like it. It feels rushed and there are just some scenes I find silly. Great concept, just didn't like the movie. I do like Hellraiser, but I wouldn't waste my time on anything after Bloodline. I enjoy Salem's Lot, but I enjoyed the miniseries more because it felt more fleshed out. Return to Salem's Lot is a whole other story though.
@@Gregbaltzer I agree with Hellraiser after bloodline. My favorites are usually 80's/90's horror movies like Return of the Living Dead or Candyman, probably because I grew up with them.
@@d.l.4338 I'll check it out! Thanks man!
@@GraveYardShif7 Me too, but the last few years my taste has shifted more to the early years of the classic Universal horrors and the Hammer horrors. I've always been more into monster movies then slashers. The only modern horrors that I can think of that I like are End of the Line, Howl, The Hallows, Splinter, Stakeland, The Dead, and Rogue. There's probably a few others.
I hope for the nun 3 the nuns carry around super soakers filled with wine and wine splash bombs, basically turn the movie into a mix between the exorcist and a 90's super soaker commercial
I don't want Nun of this generic ass movie

It's a good time, if you're drunk
Yeahhh now it’s a party
Hey that is exactly what Jahns said
LOL, "Stop putting it in my face".
I appreciate this review because someone finally echoed my own biggest 2 cents with most bad movies especially horror in our modern time......THEY BLOW THEIR LOAD IN THE PREVIEWS!!!!
Not saying it would've saved thus movie but how much more effective would the magazine thing would've been or the stair scene or a few others if you hadn't already seen it in the preview. The "predictable" jump scare formula is getting old to the point where I feel like the still images actually work at being unsettling and thereby more scary than the loud ass jumps.
Also are we supposed to think that these clairvoyant ladies are all related and can see visions of each other through time now or what cause the re-use of the Kubrick style creepy thing at the end of the hallway staring scene from Conjuring 2 raised more questions about a series that doesn't bother to have any type of ability limit on any of their characters.
Creepiest thing about the whole thing was when the nun appears to the girl in the stairwell and just kneels there and looks at her. I thought rhe face was a little derpy at first but it's actually very unsettling and frightening. Like a wild super predator playing with its prey. We the audience know how dangerous it is but the girl didn't at that time and I applaud it because it was an anticipation build where they found a way to display the villain. Ends with a camera flicker and it was just scary in a different way.
Now we knew that nun was in same universe as warrens, what would be cooler if the call in the end was to popes exorcist lol. I love the silly stupid.
angry joes does the old man yelling at cloud meme
I had no idea this was coming out, and I've been to the movies a few times recently, saw no posters or trailers lmao
It was the poster that was dark flickering
That ouija prequel is so good it has no right to be but it really is
Yeah it really is lol
saw it opening day even the popcorn couldnt keep me awake
I'm surprised that AJS hasn't reviewed Gran Turismo since Joe is a fan of cars. I thought it was much better than it looked in previews. Equilizer 3 too was good but the weakest of the trilogy IMO.
Those Kentucky mules do sound good.😊
Why would you see this over Equalizer 3?
I love watching angry reviews of movies I know I will never watch.
JESUS POWER!! that killed me lol enough to write a comment lol
There was one scene where taissa had bad line delivery
Valak is the name of the demon, they took it for the old name for a romanian = valah... as the first movie is set in Romania.
I just realized the single mom is the older actress from the Narnia movies.
i like how the nun can break necks and set priest on fire just to close and open doors later on🤣
Knew they jumped the shark with the indiana jones map room scene.
I hope tha Madden 24 will make on Angry Joe top 10 worst games of 2023.

This is what the canon of the universe is
1952 The Nun
1953-1954
1955 Annabelle: Creation
1956 The Nun II
1957-1966
1967 Annabelle
1968-1970
1971 The Conjuring
1972 Annabelle Comes Home
1973 The Curse of La Llorona
1974-1976
1977 The Conjuring 2
1978-1980
1981 The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
Scratch out The Nun 2 and it’s perfect. But yes that is 100% how the timeline exactly goes. But I would Skip The Nun 2. It added nothing to the timeline. In fact it was a mess of a storyline. Atleast The Nun 1 made way more sense and had a straight forward storyline unlike 2.
@@bulltrunch I don't care too much about the nun movies. Looked too much of a rip off
Of the entire Conjuring universe I've only enjoyed the first 2 Conjuring movies and that's it.
Writers had to keep up with insidious and also “try” to beat everyone else in horror. Why branch off when conjuring has been good/decent so far. I’m Roman Catholic too and so far, these movies have been going downhill.
I'm now convinced that everything rated in the UK as a 15 will not be scary, as there must be too many limitations. I was thinking like Alex, after the Demon was killing people at the start I was like, here we go we might get something at the end, but nothing, everyone was safe. The best horror film for me this year so far is 'Evil Dead Rise' and it's rated 18 and it shows, as that movie goes hard. I would say that 'Talk to Me' was good for a 15 rated movie, but again, it's really not that scary.
You mentioned John Carpenter’s VAMPIRES- the villain in that is also called VALEK. Subconsciously you were calling it out.
Why was this audio recorded so low?
Did they really have to use Marilyn Mansons face in all of the posters?
demons with inconsistent power are Alex's kryptonite..
before seing the review im gonna guess "jumpscare after jumpscare the movie"
I was today years old when I found out you do movie reviews too
The conjuring universe will always fail due to an overwhelming reliance on cheap jump scares and a lack of build in atmospheric horror.
Me n my girl saw it. I thought it was pretty ok . The ending was kinda sucky tho. Jump scares are there for sure especially in a loud theater 😂
Common sense would have told you equalizer 3 is a far better film than this.
I didn’t even know they were making a second one after how bad the first one was😂
The sequel exists because the first one made over $300 million with a $122 million budget ($22 million production budget, $90 million marketing budget).
the first was better than the second, also the theme of the first was good
3:57 VIVEK LMAO
It’s shocking that a studio and franchise is willing to give more creative and directorial rights to someone who has already produced 2 bad films for them. Like they are just self sabotaging themselves and producing films that they know will conjure up terrible ratings 😂. Pun intended. Like maybe once it’s an accident and you give them a second chance. But to fail twice and still give them a 3rd chance is crazy.
I mean from a studio POV, they don't really care to much about reception. They care about profit. And both the other 2 movies made a decent profit. That's the beauty of horror for studios. They are very cheap to make, so it's much easier to make a huge profit (even with bad reception)
I'm undecided about a 3rd one. I want one so they can redeem themselves, but I don't think they can. I don't wanna be tricked a 3rd time and I'm not even counting M3GAN and Insidious 5😢
Where is the Annabelle sequel at.
Thank you for the review was looking forward to seeing the sequel but glad your telling me it’s a waste of time and Equalizer 3 wasn’t actually that bad
I never watched the first one but I did see the pitch meeting for it.. I wonder if there'll be one for this movie?
Question for Angry Joe though..Would you of rather wasted time watching the Nun 2 or would you have enjoyed playing Madden more?

No need to watch it, I've got your review to enjoy. Didn't like the first one, and I wasn't looking forward to another.

The Nun 2 - Nun ya business
Of course joe can't remember the demons name. Of course
It’s VALAK.

Very few sequels are better than the original. The Nun (1), was not good.... the rule of thumb sais this one will suck also.
I have to watch this for completion sake. I actually liked The Nun it creeped me out. As far as I'm concerned the only thing that a paranormal horror has to do is creep me out and the first movie did that.
I always look forward to your reviews I said the same thing about cobweb being a better movie
Conjuring universe slowly becoming the fast and the furious of horror movies

😬😬😬
I enjoyed the first quite a bit, few scares actually got me, sad to hear
Right! The first one was decent! Plus I loved the Lore of the huge haunted ancient gothic castle vibe it gave and the setting of where it was filmed was so spooky. The 2nd had none of that and the storyline absolutely made zero sense in 2. Atleast have a good interesting and make sense storyline like in the 1st one. Because the 2nd one totally missed that.
2 was so boring and unwatchable and painfully to get through! The storyline was absolute garbage and made no sense. That scene when the boy snapped the girls neck was like the only good thing in the entire movie lmao 🤣 that part was freaky. But that’s it. Because on how batshit crazy that scary evil kid is.
Ya it was extremely disappointing to me😢
