Little did we know at the time, these two would become friends and two of the largest toddlers on the planet.
They were already friends here
this was 2017 they were already friends lmaoo
Oh I didn't know.
ahahahahahahha
World's strongest toddlers.
One of these men is full of costco bison, and the other is fully hydrated
impossible. eddie can never be fully hydrated. he would be lifting 2,200 pounds for reps if he was fully hydrated.
If that’s the case then Eddie must be full of Costco bison lol. Get that guy some cranberry juice, stat!
Imagine if you fed a bison nothing but cranberry juice and bison then basted it in cranberry juice served on a salad of cranberry sauce and bison?
😂😂😂
Before this deadlifting session, Eddie and Brian ate the entire village’s food supply for lunch.
and drank their water
Randomly popped up in my feed in 2024 and I watched every second of it
Same
Ditto.
same
Same. Although I expected it as I follow WSM stuff
@@keiztrat yeah along with hilarious Eddie Hall Brian shaw vlogs
There were two certainties back then. If Z was on a log, it was going up. If Eddie was doing a deadlift it was going up.
Big Z and logs is just ridiculous. Imagine overhead pressing 502 lbs
@@wq198mnr at 40 aswell 😂
Damn dude, Shaw and Hall are absolute UNITS!
Yes. So are shoes or pens.
What's your point?
@@OriginalPuro If Brian Shaw was a shoe, he'd be 2 feet up your ass for saying that. Better write that down in ink.
@@OriginalPuro Congratulations on your shit little comment.
@@OriginalPurowhat?
@@OriginalPurowtf are you talking about
I do not accept that Hafthor lifted 501 kilos, because he "did" it at home. To me, it is Eddie Hall who has the record of 500 kilos, because he did it at an official event.
cope
@@PauIdenino, funny :)
I love how Brian is literally so tall that he’s almost doing a sumo deadlift on this 💀
Because he kind of is. He's got a strange deadlift stance. Not quite conventional and not sumo either.
It’s like a leg press stance
I do it that way sometimes and it is much more comfortable to do
I’m 6’8” 300 lbs and can deadlift any style but that wider than conventional but not sumo feels like a leg press. It’s interesting. You need a ton of lat strength too because you’re getting closer to a snatch grip pull but not quite there either. Having a bit tummy forces you to change things up a bit.
@@somber8233 that's conventional, his hands are outside of the legs. He just has a very wide grip. He's enormous.
@@SergiuNw It's neither conventional or sumo. It's more of a hybrid deadlift stance of sorts. His feet are outside his shoulder width so it's not conventional but still not sumo because his grip is outside his stance. Peculiar but if it works, it works.
Eddie and Brian are freaking beasts, they lift all that weight with ease
Not with ease don't u see their faces
@@isicheiemmanuel9643You show that innocent comment who is boss and correct the ever-living hell out of them!
Brian in his prime here specifically in his deadlift
That hamstring tear really ruined his chances in winning an deadlift event...
Jude Scott- wasn’t the hamstring tear in 2019? And didn’t he pull his equal deadlift pr at that event?
@@gabbeskillz6262 I wouldn't say that, he took a close 2nd in this latest 2021 WSM. He probably has the drive to keep going well into his 40s. I think it's taken a couple years to get his deadlift back up but he's back at lifting over 1,000 lbs in practice.
Can't wait til next year they'll show 2017 clips
say what you wanna say but Eddie deadlifting is poetry in motion
Yeah man it's beautiful
Thank you so much for uploading. I’ve been watching this every week for motivation before I deadlift. So inspiring.
love the eddie hall/brian shaw energy, absolute infants when they are together.
I could deadlift 2 plates so I guess you could say I’m almost as strong as these guys 😎
I can deadlift over 5 plates so I guess you could say I'm stronger than these guys

@@MollymaukT well i deadlift 2 chairs for the ladies at church 😎
I love the end you can really see how both, they go back a ways together.. and, the mutual respect esp from Eddies expression you can tell..
Brian is a BEAST bro.
Back when 981 lbs was too heavy for Eddie Hall.
Now it is a piece of cake.
he can't lift anywhere near 980 lbs anymore
@@J.c410 He can. He broke the Deadlift world record(500kg). In 2017 WSM he Deadlift 473 kg against Thor and he won.
@@jarenmontaos5195 He quit strongman years ago lol, no chance could he pull 981 now
Firstly he deadlifted 981 quickly here, he could have gone heavier. Secondly he can’t deadlift anywhere near that anymore he doesn’t train for strength now.
@@superstomp2 Oh certainly agreed this wasn't his max, but yes as you say he's not at that level any more. Still hella strong though of course.
The commentators sounds like some beyblade anime 😂😂
Brian is raw power and will power. Unstoppable combo.
These two together are magic.
JF Caron never won a title and often gets overlooked but he is such a fucking monster.
He sure is. He is also like 100 lbs less than those 2 guys
So this is where their halarious friendship began! Love the 2 monsters
Brian has to go so low and lift so high, it's crazy!
makes you wonder how thor even lifted 501 🤣
home made 501 lift, thats how
He didn’t 😆 .
He got stronger, genius
@@PauIdenino yeah, stronger, 501 lift in home with homemade weights, for sure it was legit XD
@@bl4ckwoolf Yup
What an amazing Athletes 😮😮
These guys are best buddies.
Wow 😮
So if they tie do they both get first or second when it comes to the point system?
First, they get 9.5 points each, if they didn't tie one would get 10 pts and the other 9
Brian is the king
And now they are best friends
Wise strategy to take the points tie at the end there. Too many more events to go.
Why is this in my timeline it happened four years ago!
Because you need to SEE IT.
Because they just posted it today.

Hall and Shaw will forever be the greatest of all time. Thor doesn’t get my vote because I don’t support sore losers.

Brian was a beast back then.
I wonder if Brian skipped the 958 lift could he have done more
That thumbnail is when brian is taking a poop.
Taller guys are in a huge disadvantage in deadlifts, which makes Brian Shaw’s performance that more impressive!
Jesus dude these guys are insanely strong! Deadlifting 4x my weight lol
Looks straight out of a cartoon, unreal how much weight people can lift
In regards to the physics, what is the difference between these Deadlifts and Powerlifting dead-lifts?
Straps reduce the range of motion by allowing the bar to slip down to the second knuckle (figure 8 can even allow the bar to drop to the fingertips).
The rules and judging are waaaayy more forgiving in strongman (hitching is allowed, suits are allowed sometimes, straps as discussed, some lockouts are questionable, such as Eddie's 500 which he never fully locked out).
All of these tend to reduce the work done at a similar weight.
2:37 this guy is from my country i didnt think i would see Georgian in this video btw he can deadlift 480 kg now
🦁💪🦁💪🦁💪🦁💪🦁
Just under a half a ton 😮
The sheer size of Brian always amazes me. I want to see him play Thor in a movie one day.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
So we have “The Mountain” from Game of thrones and two RUclipsrs 😆. Who would have known
Damn ng
if youve ever been to a wild life preserve or zoo and been next to a lion breathing or roaring...this is the human equivalent when they yell lol its a different kind of loud if you ever been to a strong man. these guys are literally animals
Where's Anatoly?
Eddy is big anyway, but he's absolutely HUGE here.
African Villager was heard saying......"See, i told you there are other people"
They were in Botswana
Damn i thought Eddie hall was a short guy that was like 5’9 but he’s 6’3 holy f.
Very odd location 😅
they look very out of place. They seem poorly adapted to be in such an environment. Despite being 400 lbs they are too weak to fight lions, too heavy to walk long distances. Their strength is not particularly useful in any wild setting
Eddie got 3rd overall with 2 dislocated fingers throughout the final, couldn't even do the frame carry because of the injury. Should have been his first WSM win.
I want to see Anatoly there to check the plastic weights
Better not fight back!!
It’s strange how people talk about all the profits, they have been making through trading of crypto, while am here making huge losses. Please can someone put me through on the right path or at least advise me on what strategy to follow.
I strongly advise you against self trading, it's really dangerous and had brought so many investors down, you need someone with the knowledge and strategies, someone dedicated to the crypto currency market business and I will strongly recommend expert Mr Greg trading platform.
you don't have to be Shocked mr Greg Trading Services are really good and everyone loves genuine services, they've helped me recover lost trying to trade on my own
My life has totally changed, since I started with $7,000 and now I make $49,000 every 7days
Same here, I started with $13,000 now earning $81,300 bi-weekly profit with him trading program.
Seeking for his reliable and accessible details 🇺🇸🇺🇸👇👇
Wow Thor certainly improved his deadlift to become by far the best in every event from 2018 onwards. In the deadlift and keg toss/bag over bar from 2018-2020 it was a competition for second place after Thor.
No legs wraps that's crazy
I spot a liverpool fc player behind
Crazy how Hafthor was first to get eliminated, but now holds the deadlift world record..
Proves Eddie is and was a better deadlifter. Period
@@mikeanthony706 Oh yeah geared up to 455 pounds with his father weighing out the plates for him to lift it in his own personal gym. Thor is a crybaby. He double dipped half of his Viking Press reps in 2017. They only didn't give him 3 (should've been 7) and he claims he was robbed of the event. What an idiot Eddie won the previous event and got to go after Thor regardless. If Thor did one more Eddie would just beat that to still win the event.
Was this Brian’s strongest year?
Did we just become best friends
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Why's he lifting in the streets of London?
Does height make it harder? Cuz the taller u are the more u have to bend down
why the venue in botswanaland? doesn't make sense- 100 ppl in attendance, poor reception, uninterested crowd, too hot
Super man vs superman well??
I never trust the equipment guys, after watching them load one side heavier than the other. Check, every, time lol.
I want to see Anatoly shows up and say I'm sorry that's a fake weights
Eddie shouldve gone up..
Looking at thors past deadlift attemp i still cant believe he lift 501kg in his gym that was suspicious
Ain’t no way he did that.. all the evidence you need is in this video.
Exactly thor has always been trash at deadlifting compared to eddie
@@SNOOPISIAH Eddie also did not deadlift 500kg here. Suspicious as hell.
@@FrenkieWest32 Eddie took years to improve his deadlift, also did the 500 in the correct setting with judges an officials, Thor did his in his own gym 🤣
@@SNOOPISIAH wait so people can improve? I though that was impossible. Hmmm, might be the same for Thor then, you changed my mind.
Brian "The Chinese" Shaw.
Goergia..huaahhh...huahhh tetot 😝😝
Goku and vegeta
Seems to me Brian and Haffthor are significantly bigger and overall.stronger than the other guys including Eddie. Eddie is better at deadlift naturally because he is much shorter...closer to the ground
Bigger in height, of course, those two. Thor is a slightly better deadlifter than Eddie. Eddie is a better deadlifter than Shaw. Eddie is a better presser than Shaw and Thor, overhead press and bench, Eddie is stronger on those.
@@fuzzylogiceire How do you think a peak Savikas compared to those guys?
@fuzzylogiceire, how is Thor a deadlifter? SMH fanboy
@@mikeanthony706 Yeah, you're right/ Thor totally scks at deadlifting. Even I'm better...

Wow you can see how Thor's deadlift improved out of sight 2 years later to become untouchable for the next 3 years afterwards until his retirement.
Is whole black community back there, i didn't know this sport had that many support from the black community
Because its a good sport, its nothing about race. the event was in Botswana a country with the entire population being black.
@@beansgowellwithpoo9774 i know. I was joking
Watch eddies deadlift go sideways and him correcting it like nothing..
This setting is so bizarre. I don't understand
