    some great lifting ...
I'm not sure what the rules are here though, because in traditional powerlifting, many of those lifts were "no lifts" and would have received 3 reds.
Issues being, you can't hitch the bar up, as soon as the bar stops moving it's a no lift, and you have to fully lock your shoulders back...
Not doubting the strength of these fellas, I'm sure they'd still lift a lot with power lifting rules, but can anyone explain the context/rules in these comps though compared to power lifting ??

Eddie was allowed to use his own bar from home in the competition where he lifted 500kg. In the competition organized by his English friends. I think that sounds a bit questionable. How often does anyone else get that opportunity. And he determined all the weight jumps in the competition, and how long he needed to rest. I think you did well to keep this more chronological. People would complain if you put Eddie at the end again. It really shows how amazing his lift was, and his rise from struggling with 461 to easily doing 463, to doing 465 as a warmup, and then doing a lift that, in international refereed competition has not yet been beaten now, 7 years on. I do respect Thor's lift, but it isn't a good context to do it in. Maybe after his powerlifting stint, he can try to come back for the strongman deadlift world record wholesale.

yes - we do respect copyright Bu Jammy. Plus, we are doing a piece on most insane deadlifts 'in competition', so you guessed it, Hafthor's lift isn't in our line up. Or would you prefer we stole the footage and used it? As the owners - WUS - dont exist anymore as far as I can see. So who do I call to get it? By all means help me sort it and we will do ''all'' deadlifts. Can you do that for us?

@@GiantsLiveSTRONGMAN Woah. That's the exact point I was making, you silly goose. I was pre-empting others in the comments - that are always complaining that you don't include Thor's 501 - by stating that of course you don't include other folks material, because you don't own it. Don't know how you can have missed that, because it was so bleedin' obvious. (My channel has never been monetised btw, so that doesn't really make much sense, but thanks for taking a look). I was trying to be on your side, Giants Live I mean, not whoever does their youtube channel. Anyway, my best advice to that person would be "calm down, read slowly, think more, type less.".

The video title is a bunch of scandalous lies. The most insane lift did not happen at a Giants Live competition, and hence is snubbed from this compilation. Haphor's 501kg is the most insane lift of all time, and not including it here is petty bullshit. Likewise, there was a much more impressive lift for reps record too - also snubbed.
