One effect that is noticeable in the post-Corona period is the number of good music releases at the moment. It's as if there was a creativity bottleneck that suddenly dissolves.
Ashley Costello is the singer of the American band "New Years Day", which has been around for several years.
I recently came across a Russian band that I find interesting and about which I couldn't find out much. However, I recommend "Tardigrade Inferno" with "Clockwork God". The music is described as dark cabaret metal.

This song hits me so hard, lyrically, it's like they knew and wrote it for me. Andrea actually did harsh vocals on their very first album before starting to sing cleans, and in his case I actually prefer him singing clean, but he sounds amazing here. Cristina is, obviously, incredible. Ash Costello is in a band called New Year's Day, but that's all I have, never listened to them.
I love it when a song does that. I have mentioned my love of Alanis Morissette. There was a time in my life to where I felt like she was writing for me. I went through a breakup at the same time Alanis released a EP and a few of the songs said everything that I needed to say. So I gave the ex girlfriend the EP, so she could understand better. I love knowing there are other people that know exactly what you are feeling at the time. Now that we are older and in different places in our lives, Alanis stopped writing for me 😉. Her last album is Amazing (probably her best), but not as relatable for me. I will check out Ash Costello’s band. If she is good enough for Christina, she is good enough for me.
Also that song was me last year. I realized that I need to create things to look forward to. In doing that I also needed to step out of my comfort zone. So far so good 😄
I have not listened a lot to Alanis, which is probably a mistake, but I know what you mean. I listened to the band Norther a lot when going through the first more serious heartbreaks in my life. Didn't send any song to anyone, just felt understood. Around 10 years ago I was going through a serious depressive phase and listened to a ton of Florence + The Machine, with certain songs it felt like Florence was trying to cheer me up. It's why I love her early stuff so much. And Lacuna Coil has always had a strong lyric game, things like Kill the Light and Within Me. I've been listening so much to Insomnium and Swallow the Sun that this new song surprised me.
This is my fav song from Alanis’s last album. You can really hear the pain and vulnerability in her voice.

Kind of irrelevant but maybe fun to know since you like Blaze Bayley 🙂, he had a concert in the bar you see in the video last month. It was sold out but that place is really small.

@@MattsMoshPit1 I think it’s impressive that he bothers with touring when he ends up at venues that size. For comparison, Iron Maidens consert in Gothenburg about two years ago (the music video is filmed in Gothenburg for some reason 🤷) was at a stadium where the capacity is 60 000-65 000.
I think that is why he is so good to his fans. I think he really does appreciate each and every one of them.
I've missed so many video uploads from you recently. Why the hell am I not getting notifications? Anyway, this new LC track is... idk... it feels a little bit like I've heard it before. And Ash is not really making any difference, at least for me personally. I prefer Andrea's harsh vocals over cleans but recently it feels like it's the only thing he does. It wouldn't hurt if they mixed it up a little to bring in some diversity. He can do so much more with his voice.
I was wondering where you went. I am not sure what happened with the notifications. I know on Sunday a reaction that was completely blocked, became unblocked and I don’t think a notification came out for that one. I hope the system isn’t messed up. Maybe try to re hit the notification button? I have a bunch of stuff coming out. As far as the song goes. I understand what you are saying. For me I just love the overall sound of Lacuna Coil, so there isn’t much from them that I don’t like. Thank you for checking in 🤘

The show was last night and was Amazing. I was looking forward to Bury Tomorrow and they did not disappoint. They were the best band to get the crowd hyped up. Now I have a ton of editing to do, but the vlog will be out this weekend.
