Many people who don't know much about Finland can say with almost certainty that Finland produces a lot of high-quality metal music. It is one of the things that Finland is famous for in the world. It is said that there are 50 metal bands per 100,000 Finns in Finland - that means that Finland has the most metal bands in the world compared to the population. So it's no wonder that Finland has done well with its metal music.

This was much more representative take into Finnish metal scene than your previous video. Keep going though the recommendations you already received and I'm sure you'll get new recommendations based on your preferences/comments. It's already clear that you prefer heavier music than many of the bands that I suggested in your first video. Finnish metal scene is pretty wide and most people prefer the lighter side but not you. If you want to give Nightwish (commercially the most successful metal band from Finland) another go, try "Master Passion Greed". If that song is not heavy enough, then whole Nightwish catalog is too light for your taste.
Thank you so much I appreciate your feedback! Yeah definitely into the heavier stuff still can appreciate the lighter too, the amount of recommendations was next level I do plan to get around to reviewing more Finnish bands in a future video :) it’s definitely been a wonderful exploration, I knew there had to be so much more than The Rasmus 😂 thanks for everything 🙌
More Amorphis and Battle Beast! You started Amorphis with their radio hit song, which doesn't represent them very well. Try some of their early stuff or later songs like The Bee or Dead Man's Dream. Btw Amorphis started year 1990 and HIM 1991, so Amorphis is year older - and still kicking strongly. Noora Louhimo from Battle Beast is absolutely my favorite female singer and I would have hard time to choose winner, if I needed to decide between Noora and Tomi Joutsen from Amorphis.
Though to be completely honest my favorite songs from Amorphis at this moment are Sampo, Golden Elk and Northwards. With Battle Beast I can't choose favorites. About 3/4 of their songs are my favorites. 😅
Ohh thank you for this!! Yeah I totally agree I didn’t give Amorphis a fair chance and did want to listen to more of their stuff and I did like it because it reminded me slightly of HIM (even though clearly Amorphis was first 😂) oh yeah Battle beast definitely impressed me! Exactly, that’s what I think too, she stepped into big shoes and would have absolutely known she was doing that before getting on stage. Should have been the 100th though 😂 jk thanks so very much legend
Listening Wintersun 🇫🇮❤️ Time or Sons of Winter and Stars
try some Insomnium, they are one of my favorite metal bands ever
Many people who don't know much about Finland can say with almost certainty that Finland produces a lot of high-quality metal music. It is one of the things that Finland is famous for in the world. It is said that there are 50 metal bands per 100,000 Finns in Finland - that means that Finland has the most metal bands in the world compared to the population. So it's no wonder that Finland has done well with its metal music.
Yes!! I knew that they were famous for producing great metal, it’s like the Finnish just embrace the culture for all that it is unapologetically it’s so awesome. If I didn’t have you guys I would have been stuck with Spotify’s horrendous suggestions 😂 thank you!
COB is also my all time favourite 🖤check also good bands as Insomnium, Ensiferum, Wolfheart, Moonsorrow, Finntroll, and not so "heavy" 69Eyes 🖤
Love 69 Eyes! Also got to interview someone from Ensiferum last week 😄 🫶🏻
@@Spangelaa nice!! If you want to listen more Singer of Ensferum Petri Lindroos, check his old band Norther and song -Mirrow of madness- and new EP from band Warmen, where he plays toghether with Janne Wirman (ex-COB) 🖤
@@Koppi73 funnily enough Petri was the one I spoke too 😂 thank you I knew he had been in previous bands but didn’t know which ones I’ll definitely check them out, thanks legend! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
@@Spangelaa i am 100% sure that you like young and energy Norther 🖤 wintersun and nighwish bassist Jukka Koskinen also there as young!
I wish I was even a little bit as talented as Noora . I’ll definitely dive deeper into Amorphis, thank you!
@@Spangelaa You're welcome! 👍 I must yet add that Children of Bodom has covered Amorphis and vice versa. I think that they are from the same hood. In book about Amorphis band members tell, that they got to know young talented guitarist Alexi Laiho when he trained in same building as them.
@@Spangelaa In my opinion, Amorphis and Children Of Bodom are the best Finnish melodic death metal bands, whereas Amorphis is progressive and COB is neoclassical.
I don’t know if you checked out any folk metal, but Korpiklaani is really good. They are from Finland and sing in Finnish and English.
I would also check out Battlelore from Finland, and Finntroll, also from Finland.
@@deewilson2 thank you so much! I haven’t checked any of those out yet, I have heard of Battlelore before I think someone recommended them to me. Anyway thanks I’ll give them all a listen 😄
PLEASE react to Turmion kätilöt if you have not already i would recommend the songs sikiö, teurastaja, tirehtööri, pirun nyrkki, faster than god. (In no particular order) They're all great songs
I believe I reacted to them in my previous Finnish video but I promise to return to them in a future one! 🙌🫶🏻
Strongly recommend Stam1na and Mokoma
Wintersun are mind blowing live, I've seen them quite a few times and they never disappointed
I knew they’d be awesome live! So lucky would love to experience that 🤩
@@Spangelaa When I first saw them at bloodstock 2011 they played the way of fire. Over 10 years later they finally released it XD They're so worth watching live, I'm sure you'd love it :)
Wow that took a bit of time for them to release 😂 that’s so awesome maybe for now I’ll see if I can find any videos of them playing live 🙌
@@Spangelaa It really did take quite a bit of "Time" The fanbase likes to take the piss out of them because of it :P Please do, you won't be disappointed, depending on recording quality of course! :)

Good bands😂😂
1990 death metal (via my account, Angela) and voluntary fire department girl from germany since here ...
Hehehehe. We share some love in music:)
But who cares. Keep loving and head-banging. Have a good one .... to the other side of the world:)
Hell yeah!! 90’s death metal is wicked! Thanks lovely sending my appreciation to another person with great taste in music 👌🏼🤘
Give a listen to Wolfheart, another finnish metal band with otherwordly talent. Ancient Cold or Knell would be great choices to react.
Thank you! It’s looking like a third Finnish reaction video will have to be made 😂🙌
Please do Wintersun Time 1 album whole its so masterpiece
Will do, they’re a band I’ve been told I need to explore more 😄 thank you!
I agree with you about Emily Armstrong as the new singer in Linkin Park.
She is new and it will take a little time for her to find her feet and stamp her own authority.
Noora Luhimo the singer in Battle Beast is an amazing vocalist as well.
Exactly, that’s what I think too, she stepped into big shoes and would have absolutely known she was doing that before getting on stage. It’s become a huge debate and has spun out of control, it’s fine for people not to like her but the nastiness is uncalled for I think!
100% agreed, I’m trying to find more female singers that I love as most of the stuff I listen to is from male singers and her voice was amazing 🤩
@@Spangelaa Floor Jansen is my absolute favourite, but there are so many others
Simone Simons from Epica,Courtney La Plante from Spiritbox,Doro Petsch,Sharon den Adel from Within Temptation,Tatiana Schmalyuk from Jinjer and Brittany Slayes from Unleash the Archers, just to name a few !! 😊😊
@@paulhayward8459 hard agree on Courtney and Brittany! Amazing voices 🙌 I’ll have to check out the others you suggested 😄
The first video was not that bad. I liked that you listened to turmion kätilöt. You should try them again. Listen to dance panique, sikiö, kyntövuohi, isä meidän, kuolettavia vammoja..
@@jxhl666 thank you for your kind words 🙏 I’ll give them another listen 😄
try STAM1NA - IKONEKLASMIA and TURMION KÄTILÖT - SANO KUN RIITTÄÄ
check out Totalselfhatred - Mighty Black Dimensions
Oranssi Pazuzu!!!!!
13:26 waduhek?
Idk 🤷♀️ I was interrupted a little 😅
House of Sleep got me into Amorphis. Now I never listen to it. They got much better stuff.
Mors Principium Est, Kalmah, and Bloodred Hourglass are usually faster, high-energy, and guitar driven. If you enjoyed COB you'll probably like these. Feel free to explore COB's first four albums, though.
For a deep cut how about De Lirium's Order - Autistic Savant. They're pretty intense.
Omnium Gatherum and Insomnium are kinda on the opposite spectrum of melodeath. Atmospheric, melody-focused, and sometimes clean vocals. Not my preferred style, but they got bangers, regardless.
Thank you! Ill definitely give them all a listen 🙌
That Wintersun drummer Kai Hahto is now in Nightwish.. nd Kai Hahto is The Beast 🤘🏻
Hi I'm your new subscriber and I suggest for you react to Wintersun sons of winter and stars 1.5 official lyric video. But I'm not sure you do full reactions but they are labeled as a symphonic viking metal band from Finland so you can start you off on your Wintersun rabbit hole I guarantee you will not be disappointed so send me a reply back. Thank you Wintersun Alex USA ❄️❤️
Thank you so much for the sub! 🖤 I definitely enjoyed Wintersun and love everything Viking related 😆 you’ve given me a great idea for a future video I’ll definitely check out your recommendations thanks from the bottom of my heart 🤘🫶🏻
If you want to hear more female singing, try "Laurenne/Louhimo".
Where's my bible "Waves" good song to listening in car and Ghost from the past
Try to listen a song by VIIKATE - Tervaskanto. It's something
bull's little shiet when you stop alexi Laihos Tokyo Warheards
@@tonivihermaki898 bulls little shiet? 😂 I don’t understand 😄
Not sure but your sound is dropping a lot or is it edited that way because it could not enjoy the music and reaction this way.
Hey! Thank you for letting me know, the drop is sound is probably 100% my doing, sometimes when I add music it seems very loud on editing so I turn it down but when the video is published it makes it way too quiet. Thanks for letting me know I’ll work on this in future, getting sound right is a challenge!
Just to get the whole grasp and depth of Finnish Metal you should go checkout HeviSaurus! Why not go for some kids music too...
@@timometsanoja9666 BROooo I recently heard about Heavisaurus 😂 maybe it’s because I have kids? I don’t know maybe I read a quick article about them, very cool stuff wish I was introduced to them as a kid…all we had here was the wiggles and they’re not very metal 🥲
@@Spangelaa it is actually legit metal music although the lyrical content is kids appropriate... And they put out a lot of stuff. At least at one point they were putting out a new album per year. They have had all sorts of visiting stars from the metal world play on their albums etc. I have lost touch as my kids have grown out of that phase, but it was quite entertaining while it lasted... Even for an older dude. Check out HeviSaurus "Riffi Raffin Tilubiisi"... The title track from that album "Räyh" is also a classic from them...
Try Torchia
Impaled nazarene : Blood is thicker than water and when all good en turn To SHIT.. Well their all older Are great.. It is not For People Who do not own humor mind(im not sure if that is the right Word but you know, they Are not series with their lyrics)
Oh I love bands that aren’t too serious 😆 sounds awesome I’ll check them out! Thanks a bunch 🤘
If you listen to Impaled Nazarene you got issues bro. Just saying.
@@Rinssi_from_Finland Ahaa man without humour..intresting..just saying😁 and no i'm not mocking your music taste..but it sounds as tasteless as your understanding of it..or maybe you never even care to realy listening and see/check what somethings realy are about
🤘🇫🇮🤘🫶
One Finnish band worth to listen is Lost Society.
Thank you! I’ll check them out 😄
Satanic Warmaster🤘
No black metal? What a travesty. Here are some names: Behexen, Horna, Sargeist, Goatmoon, Impaled Nazarene, Satanic Warmaster, Moonsorrow
Finnish bands worth checking out:
Demigod
Amorphis (early)
Adramelech
Rippikoulu
Sentenced
Demigod
Skepticism
Beherit
Linkin Park??? Oh like you can not listen Linkin Park anymore because there is a new vocalist. SPOILER ALERT The og Linkin park has not vanished... For example I´m Nighwish fan, 3 different vocalist... Ps. I think the new song is grower. And Chester is not coming back to live performance. PPS. Do you know who is Travis Kelce🤔😘
Exactly! It’s a massive drama, there’s solid debates on both sides but I just hate that people freak out with any changes to their favourite bands. Nightwish is a great example!
Travis Kelce…is that who Taylor Swift is dating? 🤣 if so I know a tiny bit about him lol 🫶🏻🥰
@@Spangelaa Tbh yes I was mad when Tarja left but songs are still there.
Maybe more mad when Marko Left
