She's truly a one-of-a-kind artist and human being. I might dive into her catalogue sooner than later. I've currently fell in love with her live performance of liMOusIne feat. BMTH. I didn't think much of the studio version but this live one just kicks ass!

They're one of those bands where I can't under any circumstances imagine what would happen if one member decided to leave. With some bands, you don't even notice a change but it would be totally different with Jinjer. Anyway, have you seen the Spiritbox x Tati live collab video? It's so good!

I don't really follow his solo career but I'm excited to see him with Tarja again next year.

That sounded really generic (at least to me). Change the lyrics to something about death or Satan and you’ll have a bad Ghost song. I generally prefer knowing as little as possible about the artists I like unless it’s related to their music. I feel like seeing artists anywhere other than on stage is a bit like an adult version of seeing your teacher somewhere other than school as a young kid and realizing that they don’t only exist there, somehow a bit weird 😆

That's Dante's Italian of the XIII century...even for (some) modern Italians it's quite hard to understand it fully, that's why subtitles are in (old) Italian too. Great reaction though!

His voice is just as good live, no autotune or anything here or during performance. This song sounds not exactly heavier live, but it's just as good. You can tell he's a bit oldschool with these things and I really appreciate it, I am not against using backing tracks up to a certain level, but in the end we go to concerts to see these people perform live. He only used one bass (the Vampyre from the video) but the guitarist Tuomas W had a bunch of different cool retro guitars. They played some yet unreleased new songs (the new album will be more rock&roll apparently) and ended with a speech denouncing the warmongers of the world, followed by a performance of War Pigs. I hope I won't be thrown in metal jail when I say that Marko sings that better than Ozzy. All in all you are in for a treat with him. I have never met him, but I would like to. One thing I know is that he does not drink alcohol, so if you bump into him in Helsinki don't offer to buy him a beer.

Even if for no-italian listeners there're some parts not so easy to catch (as Dante Alighieri), it's one of the best tracks of last NOS album 🤘🇮🇹🎸

I’ve seen all 3 ladies singing this song live in Amsterdam last September with an orchestra and a choir. The whole show was so amazing. Not me trying to pronounce the name in Latin since I saw someone with an Allegaeon T-Shirt at a concert (I don't know Latin). Also I looked at the lyrics, it's about the Phi number (sequence?) that occurs often naturally and in physics, and it starts with 1,618 (...). I'm probably explaining this wrong, I passed high school maths and physics by the skin of my teeth. I am only slightly familiar with tech death and that's if you count Nile. This song here I like a lot and would probably be open to hearing more.

I wouldn’t change song if Spotify decided I needed to listen to this but I don’t think it’s something I would actively choose to listen to either. Fleshgod Apocalypse also plays technical death metal but I think all the symphonic stuff distracts a bit from that. Sounds like you have been listening to second wave Scandinavian black metal, probably not the best place to start. Here are some black metal bands that my friends that doesn’t like black metal likes: Batushka, Rotting Christ, Dissection, Dark Funeral (not the early albums), Diabolical Masquerade, Dimmu Borgir (not the early albums), Mephorash, Blackbraid.

Amazing band - one of the pioneers of post-rock. They're not for everyone, but they give me the goosebumps. Seen them twice and blown me away each time. The song Untitled 8 mentioned by a couple of people here is also known as Popplagio. The version Live at Southside Festival 2013 is the one to go for.

Yeah I should probably listen to more Accept. As for KK's, I don't know, it's solid, and trad heavy metal is always a good time, and Ripper is a powerful singer, but has always come across as lacking individuality in his singing. I know it's rich coming from me, and he is still really good, just that here, and back in the day when he was in Judas Priest, he sounds so much like Rob. The albums with Iced Earth he really tried very hard to be as similar to Matthew as possible, or at least that's what I was hearing when listening to them. It's actually a weird quality to not like, because sounding like Halford or Barlow is an achievement. Still, as far as I can tell, great performance from both bands, and it's really cool that you could fist bump them!

Good point. This band is perfect. The chemistry is ideally optimal. Each one is as crucial as the rest. It's a unit. They stay together for themselves. It's all they know, all they can do. And they do it better than any band on Earth. I know a ton of work and practice goes into it, but onstage they are one living breathing organism. As tight and intuitive as any band ever. It just doesn't get any better than this. Four days till Charlotte! Come on Mother Nature!

The song is full of more or less hidden references, from video games like Doom, to literature with Dante appearing exactly at 3 minutes and 33 seconds. Accept at a venue that size feels a bit odd from a European perspective. I’m on the fence about seeing them when they come here in November. There are so many concerts to choose between right now, often at least two per week, and tickets aren’t exactly cheap. The only concert I have been able to find that is more expensive is In Flames and that’s at an arena where tickets tends to be expensive. Ripper Owens is 57 so maybe it’s not fair to compare him and Rob Halford but on the other hand, Accepts vocalist is only three years younger than Rob…

I had the same reaction watching the videos :D super badass! Their older song "I want it I get it" (Желаю значит получу) is also all screams, and Russian is not an easy language for that kind of thing, but they make it work and it's so satisfying to listen to it.

Yep, brutal and in your face from the get go. On first listen , I was waiting for a switch up to cleans, but it never came. Then I found out the song is about Putin, so I completely understand the all harsh choice. Musically , I can listen to all harsh, but prefer when they're mixed with cleans. Saw an interview with Tatiana where she narrowed the album release date down to either Jan of Feb. On another note, Freeze the Fall just released a live cover of The Warning's "Survive", feat Jesse from BEL Development channel.
