That is Awesome!! I definitely need to check out more from them. Have fun in Finland. I can’t wait to go there in June for the Tuska Festival. Hopefully it won’t snow then 😉
@MattsMoshPit1 haha, it wont snow that time of the year. 😄 Have fun in Tuska. I am going to John Smith festival here in Finland next summer. It's also a really great festival. 🤘😊
Love this band, one of our national treasures and inspiration to many artists. Also he really could be David Duchovny's brother 😅 (just google Timo Kotipelto and David)
Oh no I am not going to say "I told you", I'm just happy because this band does not get enough attention imho. Can confirm they have a lot of fun on stage and know how to do a great show. This song is maybe their most well known piece, another one is "Hunting high and low". From the newer albums, they always play "Unbreakable" (awesome bassline from Lauri there), and if anyone is interesred in a deep cut, I'd recommend "We are not alone". Strato are power metal giants, I count myself fortunate to have seen them live because they don't tour a lot aside from festivals.
You really do need a shirt or something that says “ Awesome Band Introduction Council member” or something like that. You know I am going to have to check out your suggestions. Thank you as always 🤘
This does sound like a shirt I'd wear,. Or like that one meme with two very small books labeled "my knowledge of physics and maths", respectively, with a huge one beside them "my useless knowledge of metal bands" :D hope you enjoy the other songs, too!
lol that is awesome and soooo me. Every week I do pub trivia and do well for the most part, but it’s all useless knowledge. None of it is applicable to my job or a better job. Like I can’t tell you how to do basic functions in excel, but I can tell you who played guitar in White Lion in the 80’s. It makes no sense.
Nothing wrong with Stratovarius but I tend to gravitate towards bands that are a bit more silly and fun like Battle beast, Beast in black, Gloryhammer, Angus McSix and Brothers of metal when it comes to power metal (it’s a subgenre that I love live but rarely listen to).
I’m going to a jazz concert next month where Stratovarius keyboard player Jens Johansson and his brother Anders are going to play songs from their fathers best selling (for jazz) album ”Jazz på svenska”. Anders has been the drummer for Hammerfall and Manowar and is currently the drummer for Tungsten but I think he plays bass when he plays jazz. I’m curious how many people in the audience are going to be really in to jazz and how many are going to be metalheads (probably confused that there isn’t any merch 😆).
I absolutely love your honesty in liking the more silly bands 🤣. No shame at all, I am the same way. Your jazz show sounds interesting. Please let me know how it was.
The studio album that this comes from (Visions) is a classic all the way through- definitely check it out. Really wish they would tour in the US.
Awesome, I will definitely check it out, thank you! I agree they should tour here. I would go 🤘
I was 2 years old when stratovarius started. Seen them many times live. Hi from snowy Finland. 🤘

I’ll have to look out for the John Smith Fest. Thank you for sharing 🤘

Lmao yes I can relate to that 😅 maybe I should do find a place that does trivia
Honestly, it’s the only time I feel somewhat smart. For some reason my only talent is retaining useless information. Pub trivia is the best!!!!
WTF.. I’ve ended up in a scene 😂
Awesome, thank you for sharing 🤘
