I've always liked the IBO aesthetic. So it's good that Bandai is releasing more kits in line with the series. My only wish though is that they'd release more MG kits. It's been 2 years since the Barbatos and I think it's about time the next IBO MG kit be released.

recently got into gunpla starting with some IBO kits, and I am so glad to have seen your videos on these kits as to warn me of the looseness issues. my vidar's joints that I'd recently coated are drying up as I type this.
Really need to get good at fixing joints myself cause my hg barbatos lupus has some loose arms. My astaroth origin holds up really well though I did use my hg astaroth joints.
@@MusicFan752 I picked up some enamel joint fixing fluid off a hobby store. I have barb lupus too, and the waist on my copy in particular needed a lot of tightening.

Astaroth is the completely oposite of a sniper lmao, his whole kit is designed for cqc. Gremory is actually a tank, not assassin as well. If IBO line is similar to RPG jobs, Dantalion in canon can basically fill in almost every role.
i might honestly grab 2 of these along with barbatauros depending how well the laters color scheme matches the gremory to use for a custom of some kind, honestly.
if i get this ill get 2 so that i can chop up the open hands from one and turn them into holding hands so it does not look retarded with one big hand and one little one then use the rest for kit bashing customs

As of now, the Gundam Gremory has the highest defensive capabilities of the Gundams with its nanolaminate coat that's stronger than standard nanolaminate armour and is incredibly shock resistant. During a short battle with Astaroth Rinascimento, it ended up with half it's body under the surface from taking a hit from the demolition knife and it was still fine without a scratch
Heads up the barbatauros only has 3 new sprues for this year. Your looking at double 2015 barbatos sprues. So he will have that same fall apart feel as all your stored ibo kits
So more making Fix Figuration Statues? Either that or using Floor Cleaner to make the joints tighter. I heavily suspect that we might get the Lupus sooner or later for the MG though. Gusion and Gusion Rebake would kick ass though.

I know they're not perfect but HG IBO is possibly my favorite HG line because all of the kits have become comfort builds to me now, and since I do paint my kits fairly often they're quite fun to work with too.
@@insomaniac1796 if you asked me this a few months ago I would disagree, but after having built the HG Char's Zaku II "Revive" (which I only bought because I intended to use it on a kitbash) yeah they do have to rethink the use of polycap. At least don't use it on the shoulder connections.

This has easily one of my favorite gundam designs of all time. Its very obviously invoking the look of a grim reaper and a fisherman. The broken anchor taking the shape of a scythe. The hood invoking them both. Just an all around great depiction of the idea.
I can see it looking even cooler with the blue painted matte black, a little bit of silver dry brushing and painting the face (not the horns/crest) a bone/beige white giving it more of a Reaper look with a touch of General Grievous...

The line art of the suit suggests the limbs are beige, so it is accurate. I think. The HG IBO line, particularly the gundam frames, is certainly showing its age. The "grunts" and the Grimgerde are still solid however this may be down to the more reserved designs, less weight. Ah well.
I wanna know, why is it that in the Gundams from the iron blooded orphans Gundam series, have a heel-like feature for the feet of every gundam in the series?
Because it's mostly for outer space use. That's why barbatos 6th form swapped the heels for flat feet when they're fighting on earth. Source gundam wiki
Shoulder/backpack heavy HG IBO Gundam frames kits tend to have loose waist. Had to topcoat most of the "heavy type" IBO gundams after 2-3 years has passed. I found it to be ironic that all non-gundam frame HG IBO kit ended up being more solid/stable than most of the Gundams. HG Graze and Geirail is built like a Nokia.

What sticks with me more about the Gremory is its pilot she was pretty cool though she didn’t get to do much. She was engaged to some Gjallarhorn higher ups daughter, but that fell through because reasons. Shame, she really did like her fiancé.
It really is too bad that the Gremory's "scythe" isn't actually a scythe, but a damaged anchor. Deathscythe will always be the best "reaper" Gundam of them all. :D

there are probably less than 2 dozen kits that allow for square handles to stay put in HG hands, surpisingly the HG RGyaGya is one of them (beam claymore and alternate sheild mounts for the hands both are half round and half square to stay put)
Just as a random color comment, I'm pretty sure that the IBO Gundams are specifically named after the 72 demons Solomon was given domain over by the biblical god. These demons were named in the Catholic treatises on demonology.
If there's anything I'd change in the design I'd add long side skirts to give it an open longcoat look, with the hoodie it looks like an evil mage of sorts....
I have 7 HGIBO. Kimaris Vidar, Helmwig, Grimgerde, Dantalion, Astaroth Origin, Rina and Vual. The only one that are still solid without topcoating the joint is Grimegerde.
It's quite a sad thing about the HG IBO gundam frames, and to think HG kits are usually the ones most prone to being played/re-posed around with. Of my 3 Barbies, only the topcoated one and the one I practically left almost untouched after being straight-built held up well without any modification. It's quite a different thing with the Grimgerde though. That red suit held up well despite being frequently played around with. As for the Gremory, I'm looking forward to getting it and the Barbataurus and kitbash them.
according the Gundam Breaker Mobile, those round bits on the forearm armor are Autocannons as well. so, with 2 different games saying they are the same weapon, it's pretty clearly that they are, in fact. mounted Plasma Cannons. duh :p
It is sad news to me. I'm planning to collect the blooded orphans kits however, with the issue in regards of them can't stand properly will be a huge no for me.
I kind of want to merge it with parts of the Deathscythe and Deathscythe Hell for a custom, swap the anchor for a beam scythe (I'd actually go with Deathscythes rather than the double) and the Hell's shroud added to it for even more of a grim reaper style. I'd love to find an effect part scythe that would be in a blood red

Scythes are usually harvesting tools. There's a different structure for war

Most of the mobile suit move by hovering using their thrusters they rarely walk thats probably the reason their feet is designed like that

I think that the gremory scythe really fits the ibo aesthetic, as a raw battle suit, it's weapon built to crush armor, like a battle ace does

How did you sharpen the fingers on the hands without them snapping off? What tools did you use?

HGIBO kits always had some issue with it joint, but easy to fix (for me). Still hoping for IBO to have an RG Kits

The thing i like from Gundam gremory is the shoulder armor remind me with Efreet shoulder armour
some new option part sets would be nice, like one including color correct holding hands and the other half of the anchor

I enjoy IBO kits however I hope we soon get the first RG IBO kit like RG barbatos or RG Bael both are amazing mechs

Every other HG IBO kit I can think of has a portrait of the pilot on the box. Wonder why that's not the case here?
