- Today, on Workshop Edits, I'm utilizing my Illustrator skills and new Neje Max 3 Pro to create a one of a kind 3D map of one of my favorite golf courses. This technique can pretty much apply to any design and I love how it turned out - hope it inspires you!

Awesome work!
Thanks a lot!
I love this!
I bet you could add some CNC processes to make the assembly of the laser cut pieces even easier! Laser definitely has less waste for the small pieces.
It’s a good call. I considered doing a fill of the map template so it was slightly recessed and easy to pop in. I was nervous about trying it on the main final project so I might test before I do it again.
What settings in lightburn did you find works on the cuts for the 5 mm wood? What do you think is roughly to best settings to start at to cut 3 mm mdf?
Depends entirely on your laser power and focal length - unfortunately I’m not able to give you that specific detail beyond my own set up
how did you get the files to cut that course? is there a course map downloader or something?
I designed it myself through illustrator as a set of layers - fairways, tee boxes, then water and sand traps on top of it. Was a fun exercise
