I had both dry and wet pedis , and the end result is the same if you go to a good pedicurest, but in my personal opinion nothing beats the wet pedi , the soak is also relaxing and helps relax your muscles .
Maybe this is going to sound weird. But the reason I’ve been researching about dry pedi is because I have a fungus in one of my toes, and my pedicure girl basically took all my nail using one of this drills. She said that’s the only way to cure the nail, exposing the fungus and following the treatment. Which sounds reasonable. However going weekly to do my pedicure is too expensive for me, so I wanna learn to do it myself. However, I haven’t found a video that speaks specifically about that, about reducing your nail using this drill. It would be great if you can make a video about this
@@sonyad924 I’m a professional Nail Technician. Unless this person went to a very filthy salon, it’s highly unlikely that was the case. Fungus in the nails usually occurs 3 ways- poor hygiene, trapped water under the nail and an enhancement, or repeat introduction of contaminated tools. Removing the fungus followed by fungus treatment medicine is the way we professional technicians help a fungal infection. If it is severe, we refer the person to a physician.
Soak your feet in Epsom salt, sea salt, baking soda, tea tree essential oil, frankincense essential oil, and essential peppermint oil. Also, prepare a small spray bottle with olive oil (or other) and tea tree essential oil. Spray the toe nails before you go to bed giving them time to dry. After your toe nails are looking normal you'll only need to use tea tree occasionally.
This is an awesome video. Thank you! Could you do an instructional video for people giving themselves a pedicure? And a manicure. I think it would be super helpful.
Thank you for making this video! I would like to add that there is software suitable for health intakes. The same software that’s used for many salons, spas and massage therapy clinics. A health intake is very important, as well as continuing education, so that you know how to work on a client with certain health conditions or if you should be working in them at all. Health conditions that affect their skin, circulation and ability to heal are ones that shouldn’t be ignored and clients won’t tell you because they honestly don’t know most of the time that it even matters for the service they are receiving. In addition to being a. Ail tech for 28 years, I’m also a licensed massage therapist of 19’years and I highly recommend seeking out continuing education on massage and contraindications of massage, as well as working with problematic conditions of the feet.
Thank you this video is heplful for my clients who are unable to leave their homes and get out of bed for services. I have the tools to increase my ability in services❤
I absolutely love and appreciate your videos. I’ve been obsessed with learning how to use your products. Recently made a decision to pursue one of my dreams as a manicurist. Pedicures is all I want to do. Can’t wait to receive my products and use them.
thank you for providing such in-depth information for free!! this is very valuable knowledge and we’re so lucky you’ve shared that with us in a video that’s accessible to anyone & everyone. once again, thank you so much!! 😁
Thank you so much for this video, It was so Informative and educational and straight to the point. Love being able to feel your passion and love for your craft and that makes this video 1000x better. Thank you thank thank you!
I love your nail drill bag!!! I have been looking for one like this for a very long time. Do you mind letting me know where did you get it or what does it call? Thank a bunch. ❤❤
Can you do gel polish before applying any creams such as the dry+cracked skin podoexpert? Thank you for this amazing informative video! Just what I needed x
A lot of schools teach wet. Fortunately the Podoexpert shoe & foot deodorant cleanses the feet and kills any existing bacteria and microbes. This is the first step in our dry pedi!
Thanks so much for sharing such great information! I’m glad you made this video it was super helpful, especially since I just took the dry pedi class! It refreshed my memory and I even followed along with my class notes as I watched 🙌🏽
If you are doing a gel polish pedicure instead of regular polish pedi, when would you apply the color? Still at end after the foam and Cuticle oil or before that? 🤔 Thanks! Love you're videos!
It used to be sold with the journey e-file, but we now only sell the medicool pro. That doesn't come with a crossbody, but it does have a holder that you can clip on to your belt 🙌
Would you be able to do a video on how to incorporate these e-file techniques within a wet pedicure process? I don't think my salon will ever offer dry pedis :[ but my clients all have such terrible looking cuticles that are difficult to address when they're all soaked :0
@@EricasNails I also wanted to add these, but they insist on soaking to remove smell and dirt from the typical once in awhile client 😷. Any suggestions after a soaks been done?
@@vsheavenly68 What we recommend for cleansing and smell is using Podoexpert Shoe & Foot Deodorant at the very beginning. If there is more dirt that needs to come off- we wipe the feet with a soapy moist towel. Once the skin is saturated with water (after soaking) it does not exfoliate well with efile techniques. So if you must soak- do it after your cuticle work and efile callus reduction! Anytime I go near my toenails with an e file I make my cuticles bleed and they are irritated for days. I recently bought your soft flame in a fine grit to hopefully be more friendly on sensitive areas
One of our favorite tools for toe cuticles is the Safety Sciver diamond bit, it's rounded head is less likely to irritate the cuticles because there's not a sharp point. Here's that tool: ericasata.com/collections/diamond-bits/products/cuticle-sciver Hope this helps!
I'm so confused! please help clarify. I've always been taught to clean with a brush going AWAY from the client. You say go TOWARD the client. Won't that shove particles under the proximal fold?
Are you working at that angle for the camera or do you actually come from behind when you work? Maybe a stupid question but im not spatially aware and struggling to imagine how to do it. 😂 And if you were doing gel polish would you/could you do that before the mousse and oil? Why even chance doing that first?
You may, but it depends on where you are in the process. Check out our "Easy Acrylic Shaping w/ E-File" video for more info! We also have a few videos that go over gel nails, too 🤗
I like being Green, are there green products to replace the (highly toxic) acetone?? I used acetone to clean metal as a sheetmetal worker. Horrible to breathe it.
Sorry, I have to ever so slightly round off my toe nails, because when they are in a shoe, the corners rub on my neighbouring toe and then cut , poke my skin, and that is MORE painful.
That’s terrible first of all her corners are too sharp second she had a bunch of cuticle skin left 🤦🏼♀️ and how do you do the heel without a one time use Sanding piece
The pedi bit is designed to take the place of traditional pedi sanding/buffing board. Plus there's less stress on your body. It's a win win when using the efile for pedicures.
Great information! Thank you for sharing! I would love a class/certification with you on this!

Why do you brush toward the client instead of away? Aren’t you pushing the dead skin cells into the proximal fold or into the corners? Learning a lot!
If you push it towards the client in a circular motion, it actually prevents debris from getting stuck on the nail plate and in the proximal folds 🙌
