Finally! I just wanted a simple, organized video that explained how to use an e-file, what speeds, etc. Even if some things could be based on common sense, it's so helpful to hear the essential do's and dont's from one complete, knowledgeable source. Thank you for continuing to make such helpful content. Hope you have a beautiful day!
SMH... after watching your videos I feel like everyone else that's on the internet doing nail tutorials is here just to entertain us, cause this is the first time I paused a video and got my stuff out to practice WITH you ... And you didn't even ask us to. You're a teacher, you're God's gift to the rest of us. And thank you to the production team✨ A+ work 🤝
Hi fellow Nail Princesses, please NEVER use high speed on the e-files! SUZIE you are our Queen! Love your videos. You explain everything so nicely. Thank you for great content.
@@paresseuxdesneiges i’m a little late but there are a few reasons! in russian manicures they usually file the builder gel or acrylic as thin as possible during fills, and e-files can be used for other forms of crafting too!
I’m the beginnerey-est of beginners & it’s like you watched me do my first set on myself and addressed EVERY MISTAKE I made! Thank you so much! 😅✌🏻I do have a practice hand & I’m letting my natural nails grow out before I try again, because oof! I messed up! Natural nails are so thin now and I’m afraid if I tried to put on another set, I could damage them permanently. But I’m learning to do this so I won’t bite my natural nail anymore. I think it’s helpful!
Susie I started watching you about five years ago I am now 69 years old you are the one that gave me the inspiration to start doing my own nails as a hobby and also because I enjoy it I have learned so much over the years from watching you and other nail techs I have gotten really good with my e-file I no longer burn my nail beds and make sure I put it on a really low setting when I’m doing my cuticles and so far I’ve not had any problems in the last year it’s taken me four years to get it right but thank you for your inspiration your soft voice and to be able to actually see the person that’s doing the video instead of just a table and nails
So glad I found this video! I'm a DIYer but bought myself a nice fancy e-file and realized I didn't have the first clue about how all these tips and features worked. I feel so much more confident using the e-file now, and I can already see the improvement in my control and efficiency. Thanks so much for your very informative videos!
Hey Suzie 👋 I watched your "fear the efile" video and that "anchor" has completely changed my e file game. I used to use a nail file to do whole service but I used a drill on a client for the first time 2 weeks ago. It's so much faster with an e file. Your videos really inspire me to be more confident. I really feel like I learn enough to actually change my routine on clients. Thank you so much 💓
I was looking for tips to dremel paint off fragile plastic and my aunt suggested "get what the ladies who do nails use" and this was actually helpful, I think I'll order some nail bits :D

i just started my at home helix journey and i bought everything but i wanted to really get down the bit safety before giving it a go on myself. thank you.
You’re fabulous! Your videos are informative, concise, and pleasant to listen to. I’m a dermatologist who recently started getting dip done at a salon. It actually helps my nails not chip, but I do notice cuts to my cuticle and heat during the procedure. Two days of moisturizing every hour around my nails helps those small cuts heal. I use a dimethicone based emollient. Could you do a video on cuticle oil versus other emollients? I find the cuticle oils more drying than dimethicone.
Thank you so much for this video! I’m not a professional but getting a file has saved me so much time and given me a more professional look to my manicures!
OK Suzie unrelated to the video subject but can I just say you've mastered set design and color. I absolutely love your background and am constantly drawn to what you've stuck there with the lights. Just thought I'd share my appreciation for a part of videography that is often overlooked and often under appreciated as it's obvious you've put a lot of thought into your environment.
Oh my God I think I love you. It’s so funny that you say that because you’re absolutely right on I do spend a lot of time making it look just right. And it is a labour of love because I’ve noticed most people don’t even notice it. But that’s OK it does give a sense of style to the whole visual effect even though they’re mostly looking at the foreground. I personally take a lot of pride in the design of the background, it’s just nice that someone does notice it ❤️
@@NailCareerEducation Honestly, I've noticed the backgrounds in every video I've watched. I can tell you put thought into it because no 2 videos are exactly the same. Often the difference is subtle such as the lights being moved just a bit or another strand that's a different color. Your clothes and the tools on your table to even your clothes always compliment the background in either the same colors as in this video or compliment and coordinate. Of course all work toward your branding and the colors of your products. Of course that's a given since your products are hidden in the background as well. As I said I noticed and always love to see what I can find and figure out. I have a suspicion you're color scheme for each video is actually tied to the type of video. Great job and yes it's appreciated and a testament to your brand.
a few months ago i was getting my nails done and the technician burned my nail. needless to say i wasn’t expecting it and i jumped back in my chair. it caused a scene but i never knew how bad it would hurt and i didn’t even know it was a thing😢 i have had too many bad experiences so i’m grateful to have found your channel so i can start doing my own nails ❤
Thank you for this video this was soo helpful and educational. I just decided one day I wanted to learn how to do nails and now I’m starting my journey
I haven't been hurt with the e-file luckily, but dit get a burning wound on my skin next to the nail with a handfile. It was quite small, but still quite painful.
Thank you, Suzie!! Question for the group. I do my own gel polish over natural nails (just use a protein prep and base coat underneath). From this video, does that mean the only appropriate bit I should use to remove gel polish from the natural nail is a fine to medium arbor band at 3-5k RPM? Thank you!!
I wish i found you sooner! Ive been practicing using my efile of fake fingers and i thought i was confident enough to use it on my. Boy was i wrong...Just experienced a nail massacre...pitted, brittle the whole enchilada! UGLY!! I did tons of research yet not enough since i only just found you. The way you teach is so easy to understand! Preparing for a long nail recovery... hopefully im not too traumatized by the experience to do it again in the future😢😢 More fake fingers going in the cart
Love you Suzie! (And "Camera Man" is alright too!) Could listen to you talk alllllll day long! Love your videos- most informative on the web! Keep up your gorgeous work! XOXO 😘
Love this video guide for e-files! I'm sure it will help me a lot as I want to begin my nail enhancements journey soon. Thank you, Suzie, for all your top quality content! :)
Suzy, help. I have a video idea. When I go to the salon there is a menu of services I don't understand what they are. Can you do a dictionary definition of what a common salon menu offers. Thanks, your awesome. I just found you and have been binge watching.
I'm honestly so excited to see all of the wonderful things you've been coming out with! I started Christmas shopping for my family (I knew I wanted your manicure kit for my mom because, well, she needs to learn to do it properly! I'm glad one of our dogs ate her battery powered "nail file" because that means she'll have to listen to me now 😂) and eyed the e-file for myself. I'm not sure if it'll be a birthday or Christmas gift to myself, but I think it would be much better than the one I have now.
I am new to doing my own dip powder nails at home, so Im not the best with the nail drill. That pinkie anchor trick is so smart, I wish i knew about it sooner because I made so much damage to my cuticles because the drill took control of me LOL. Also going to invest in a better drill because mine vibrates a lot and hurts my nail. Thanks so much for this in-depth tutorial
I just have to say I absolutely adore your channel. You have given me a lot of knowledge and I ordered your mini acrylic set, and I'm so excited to use it. Thank you so much for your videos!
your explanation is so good , I have watched your videos before and today I will subscribe. I like that whatever manicure you do it shows so much good taste. I can see that you have lots of experience. I was planning to buy a poly gel nail kit and I am not sure, not sure I can't do it myself 😊
Thank you so much for creating this post and I’ve found this extremely helpful learning how to do my own nails. I have a question, I drill my natural nails to much please advise on how I can help it grow back.
Hi iv been doing nails and hair for as long to when I first started it was porcelain not acrylic lol it become illegal we were getting high from it so much better nowadays and with gel. I enjoy watching your videos . never to old to lean more . Thanks x
Hi Suzie! I hope you read my comment because I want to ask you if you can make a video teaching us what each e-file bit is used for.I have so many and don’t know how to use them properly….I need help please 😢
Great video. Thank you as I am starting to use the e file to remove my own gels! I have been burned before & it’s no fun. I think my nails are very thin so It might be why. I am practicing that anchor with my pen before I use the file. Lol. Love your detailed videos. You explain everything so well. On to your next videos before using file ! 💅💅💅💅
Suzie, I love when you do videos like this, so informative. I do have a question though. Over the course of time, have you been called upon to correct a fellow technicians mistakes a lot? i.e, from another salon? x
Oh YES! I built my career on it - Honestly if the customer has come to you they’re not happy with the previous tech this is a chance to show that customer how much better you are. Take that opportunity and show them literally you can just take one finger and show them how much better you are and they can compare back to back and they’ll never go anywhere else
@@NailCareerEducation I didn’t have that chance often because almost every client I started with just came with me when I moved. But those chances to do that one nail correction for someone was such a pleasure to do! Not in a bragging way. But in a way to show them how beautiful acrylics really can be! Especially back then there was a lot of nay sayers on acrylic being bad for you( in the 90’s)
So helpful! Im an aspiring nail technician and have been doing gel x nails for about a year now. Ive just learned how to drill and this was so helpful! The anchor point especially was extremely helpful and explained well. Thanks so so so much!! 🤎
I do my own gel polish at home and bought an e-file a while ago to remove polish instead of soaking or manually filing it off. The other methods were waaaaay too time consuming. I always apply a thick base coat so I'm not accidentally filing down to my natural nail too quickly. I love using an e-file, it's been so much more convenient. It does take time to get used to and learn how to control.
Which efile did you purchase? I’m doing my own nails too and wondering if I really need to purchase $200-300 on it….seems like a lot. Are there good options for less?
Thank you from a DIY'er so informative and so helpful What is your file doesn't have speeds like yours? Do you have a video using one of those? Thanks again for such great instructions.. Very Helpful for newbies.
Suzie! I got my first set of acrylics a couple months ago and she used a toothy tungsten bit ON MY NATURAL NAIL! it didn't seem right but I had never gotten them before so I didn't say anything. My nail bed were so stripped I barely had anything underneath thy keep breaking and I'm in the process of growing them out. One I get my nails healthy again I'm gonna try and find an expert nail tech. It makes me sad cause the first nail tech was so nice but she did so much damage. Thank you for this video, you've confirmed my suspicions I will be more vocal at the nail salon now ❤
Yep iits good to know this information. And in all fairness to them, they may not be doing it deliberately they just might not know. Let’s hope they watch videos like mine and getting the information they need
This content is in a lot of my videos but you’re bringing up a good point I don’t have one specifically due to natural nails that’s a good idea I just might do that

You are the best!!! Your explanations are easy to understand, straight to the point and well explained with details
a few months ago i was getting my nails done and the technician burned my nail. needless to say i wasn’t expecting it and i jumped back in my chair. it caused a scene but i never knew how bad it would hurt and i didn’t even know it was a thing😢 i have had too many bad experiences so i’m grateful to have found your channel so i can start doing my own nails ❤
Love this! Quick and to the point! You also have an amazing voice! I just started dipping my own nails and this was so helpful!
Thank you!!
Such a good video! I do have a question…what type of bit do you recommend to aid in removing gel polish on natural nails? Thanks!
XOXO 😘
I’ve been searching for this video and it just so happens one of my fav nail tech uploads the perfect video at the perfect time! 💕 thank you!!!!
Thank you for this video! How often should you change out bits? I never know when to replace mine. Thanks!
I appreciate these videos soooo much as a nail tech who just graduated from nail school, they didn’t teach us ANYTHING
Love this video guide for e-files! I'm sure it will help me a lot as I want to begin my nail enhancements journey soon. Thank you, Suzie, for all your top quality content! :)
Good luck!!!
Suzy! Thank you so much for each and everyone of your posts! They are all so wonderful and informative!
Suzy, help. I have a video idea. When I go to the salon there is a menu of services I don't understand what they are. Can you do a dictionary definition of what a common salon menu offers. Thanks, your awesome. I just found you and have been binge watching.
You are so great. I just love you! I’ve learned lots of things from your videos.
I love your voice!!! So smooth and relaxing. Thank you got the tips
Adorable
I love your soft and warm voice, its very securing
I have NEVER came across a video that had ALL thumbs up!! Good advice !!
Great to see your tutorial on how yo use efile. I am just a newbie with nail enhancements. Thanks.
I've been practicing for a year now & suzie your the best teacher. I really wanna get your acrylic system for Christmas! 💋
I sell little mini Acrylic kids at nailcareer.com. It’s a perfect chance and a perfect price to try it out
@@NailCareerEducation omg!! Thank you so much!!!!💋💋💋👌💅😘💜💕
Thank you so much for creating this post and I’ve found this extremely helpful learning how to do my own nails.
Thanks x
I just got my acrylic powder by NCE this is the best stuff I have ever usedn I love it 😄 definitely be buying more ❤️
Did you get the little mini kit
I'm studying to be a nail tech in spring and this information helps a lot!!
Hi Suzie! I hope you read my comment because I want to ask you if you can make a video teaching us what each e-file bit is used for.I have so many and don’t know how to use them properly….I need help please 😢
Oh I would love this
@nailcareereducation can you do a video on how to prep extremely paper thin/soft bed nails?
This is so helpful! Thank you. I've learned to do hybrid gels on myself and I love my efile but it does have a learning curve.
Great video. I’m new to nails. Tired of the insane prices so I’m going to do my own. So thank you for all these tips
You really gotta love this woman! Thanks for an informative well explained video.
I just bought an efile this morning. This video could not have come at a better time! Thanks for the tips!!
@@NailCareerEducation Thank you for your reply. Sadly, I'm not clever enough to do nails, but love watching all your videos x
That’s awesome to hear. Yes when you work it perfectly like you Do you is an excellent tool
Which efile did you purchase? I’m doing my own nails too and wondering if I really need to purchase $200-300 on it….seems like a lot. Are there good options for less?
Wow! You are so gorgeous! The color scheme of this is so pretty also. Extremely informative, thank you lass 💜
You are the best teacher! Appreciate your channel so much! Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏼 🏄♀️ 🌞 🌊
Very informative thank you Suzie your videos are always very helpful👍🏽😊
This video is so perfect! Exactly what I needed. Thank you!!
Thank you from a DIY'er so informative and so helpful What is your file doesn't have speeds like yours? Do you have a video using one of those? Thanks again for such great instructions..
Very Helpful for newbies.
I've never used an e-file before but your videos make me want to use one so bad!!!!
I loved this educational video! It is straight to the point and very pleasing to watch. It was like a combination of a podcast and ASMR ❤️ Thank you!!
Such a useful video Thankyou so much!! Do you have a video about how to use the e-file on the natural nail plate and cuticle area? X
This content is in a lot of my videos but you’re bringing up a good point I don’t have one specifically due to natural nails that’s a good idea I just might do that
@@NailCareerEducation Thankyou so much, you’re vids are so helpful x
Thank you very much, Suzy for educating us your contents fits perfectly with your site channel name. You are amazing and I can not wait to watch more of your videos thank God I found you please keep it coming.
This is the most helpful tutorial I have ever seen THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!
