I've learnt more from watching your videos than what we ever got taught in nail school. Thank you Suzie for sharing your endless knowledge! You are a treasure! 🩷
That’s because you’re taught the basics. Health and safety + basic knowledge. It’s usually up to you to seek out different skills and techniques. Same with cosmetology.
It is interesting to see how good solid technique doesn’t go out of style. I have used this bit for years. A life saver for French. Everything comes back around
Susie, I must say you look absolutely beautiful today! Love the outfit, hair, glasses, everything, just stunning all around!! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I find it so hard to believe that you’ve been doing this for 20+ years when I look at you but having watched and followed you for so long, of course your techniques and everything you teach and the reasoning you put behind your theory, etc. tells me of course it’s been 20+ years…… so I’m gonna say you have incredible genetics or you’re just blessed! That’s a tough one to swallow. You look fabulous. Besides everything I learned from you, I have to tell you, Suzie, you have the most amazing voice . I think you need to get an agent. You truly have a voice that could do books and do very well at it just as a sideline gig because we don’t ever wanna lose you but little sideline gig you’ve got the perfect perfect voice it’s soft. It’s beautiful yet. Crisp and clearexcellent pronunciation. Girl you need an agent. A treasure and a talent…..❤ We are very blessed to have you. I wish you happy holidays and hope that 2025 treats you and yours very well and May 2025, bring you happiness, health and prosperity beyond your wildest dreams. G-d Bless❤🙏🏻
Aww you’re very kind. Genetics do play a part BUT Make up and LIGHTING is a huge advantage - especially as I get older. Only because of my husbands work I did do voice commercials for years - and I was strictly hired on my voice cause I had little experience - I learned a great deal. But books would be fun just don’t know if I’d be good at it - my experience is only in 30-60 commercials. Have a great new years - and thank you for the lovely comments 🩵
Suzie, you’re so adorable and CameraMan, no body does it better…your photography skills are supremely executed! I hope both of you have a Very Happy and Blessed Holiday Season. Merry Christmas 🎄🥳🎊🍾🥂
I love you!! Just ended up in here by accident, but I been looking for a good teacher who clicks with my energy… and you are way more! Your voice, your look, your style… everything… love it❤❤❤❤ thank you so much
Love watching your tutorials because you never judge and give great tips and tricks of the trade with all your years of experience in the business. I just bought this bit you sowed today and I am so glad to learn the proper way to use it. Thanks to you and cameraman for the fab graphics, music and your nail skills! Have a happy and healthy New Year!
Im learning so much from your channel. I even watch the ones I might never try, 😂 but I still pick up some tips I can use for regular application. Awesome teacher, especially because you're so passionate about your craft. ❤
This video was so helpful!! Thank you. Because man, Those smile lines kill me! AND French has ways been my absolute favorite and go-to look. It’s just such a beautiful timeless and elegant style, In my opinion. And it goes with everything. But man I’ve always struggled with getting those crispy lines that I love so much!
If you can see this is an old technique joining a new one with new products 😀 👌!!! For me, it is an inspiration! THANK YOU, hun! You are such a STAR 🌟 🤩 ✨️ 😍
I can barely paint my own nails without making it look a mess. And you just did a whole acrylic set like it was nothing lol. You are absolutely amazing at your craft!
Ive been watching you for 7 years n never noticed you use this bit . Wow, Now I'll have to binge watch for better education on this bit.. I just got one of these in a PR package and I've been doing mail for 35 years n never thought about using it. But I will learn now . I just love your videos
I love watching your videos, I've learned so much over the years.. Back in the day I used to make my own clear acrylic/glitter mix & people always asked where I got my nails done & they were usually shocked that I (a boy) did my own nails & they were just as good if not better than theb "professional" nails they had done...
Suzie you are just perfect. I love your videos, they are so relaxing and professional, i wish your family and yourself a wonderful new year and I truely hope that i can some day be as amazing a nail technician as you. Your techniques have saved my butt on more than one occasion 😅 Thank you!!
17:30 i want to try your acrylics so bad soon. Out of all the products ive seen used on socials media and have used myself ive never ever seen a nude work do amazingly. Oh my drooling over here
I didn’t wear it in the first few Minutes while I create the French Smile line but as soon as I Sculpt that nail I put on my mask for the majority of the part of the video
Susie thank you for sharing your beauty, grace, and numerous talents!!! I adore your set. It is that classy turquoise-bluish color that I think Martha used but updated and edgier like a timeless New Year’s Eve party. I adore your aesthetic, your approach to beauty and to life. Your nearest and dearest are lucky to have you!!!💅🏻🍾✨💖 Merry Christmas!!!🎄🎁 ❄️☃️
Now, honestly, don’t be hard on yourself. I’ve been doing this for 38 years and even though I’m expert level good at it, I still perfect it every time. It’s just the artist in us.
No, I really didn’t. I wanted to really drive the point home. You don’t have to take it off if you don’t want to but things happen you gotta go with the flow.
14:32 i love love u are so honest... i love u dont do the stupid bead method. Thats the most honest thing ever. Sometimes u need 6 beads. And no it doesn't make u a nail baddie if u only do one bead! Everyone should be teaching this cause social media has made everything like a competition! Its ridiculous! Love learning from u so thank u!!!
Re: acetone and brushes - it's fine to use acetone on natural hair brushes. I believe the NCE acrylic brush is kolinsky (tail hair from a specific kind of weasel). But if you use acetone on a synthetic brush, the fibers will fray and deteriorate with every exposure to acetone. This is true for any kind of brush. Although, some synthetic brushes can withstand acetone longer than others.
That curved bit is amazing. I used to do a lot of back fills ( do they still call them that?) not so much anymore but I may have to purchase this just to have it on hand.
I would love an updates tutorial on your E-File! I've never used one before and even on the low setting (1-4) I feel like the more pressure I put on it the faster it goes? :)
I have a question. Beautiful video and nails! Shy did you opt for the layer of pink before the clear when you already had pink base? Wouldn't it have been a stronger bond to the tip if you used only clear? I'm not a pro. I learned from you and others before and during covid, and I only do gel and poly gel on my own nails.❤❤
Great Question actually… I did that because I wanted to add colour. I wasn’t sure what was on there before I think it was more of a clear so I wanted to bring in the pink colour to give it a nice healthy glow and there wasn’t enough of that already existing
Hi suzie! I love watching and learning from your videos! I was wondering and I assume so but I want to ask anyway, can you do a smile line encapsulation like this but with the pink EZ gel (hybrid gel) and the clear EZ gel?
Hello Suzy how are you doing ❤❤❤❤❤from me rom in California I wach you for the past 28 years I wish happy new year to come good by Thacker your self ❤❤
I've been a subbie for years, and I know you can answer my question: In order to lessen filing, is there a way to put a paper form on bottom while using a dual form on top with builder gel? It seems we're always filing either the top or underneath. Thank you!
They are a game changer, in that it helps speed and save your arm from so much filing back-and-forth. It can just help you to be more accurate and if you’re looking at this as a profession, it’s very practical for back-to-back clients. The only trick to it is that you’ve got to make sure you learn how to use it correctly if you do It’s your best friend if you don’t it’s a pain in the butt.
Question: is the Korean/Japanese quick buildable gel better than regular gel? Is there a difference? I mean is it better for your natural nail underneath? I've been trying to find someone near me, but haven't been able to find anyone!! I'm just starting out with getting my nails done after a 2-year hiatus ( I spent most of last year in and out of the hospital and rehab, and I'm not sure which would be healthier for my natural nails. I'm a pastry chef and chocolatier, so my nails can't be too long; I have to be able to knead bread dough. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you for always explaining everything in detail as you go along!!
No difference compared to North American gels! Find out if they are soak off systems or true hard gel. Based on your profession, you will likely want hard gel for the durability and strength factor. Soak off systems feel more 'rubbery' and are softer & more flexible.
1st. But question, why did the smile lines get so drastic? I've always preferred a more natural one though I've always done mine straight as that's easiest for me to paint
Well from my point of view for 30 plus years SHARP smile lines were always the goal. Then over the years it’s curved more and more to the now extreme curves/ which is all taste and style. It’s a personal choice
This time of year, it doesn't seem to matter how much nail oil I use, my cuticles are ALWAYS super dry!! Is there something else I should be doing/using in addition to the cuticle oil?
If you apply oil and lotions when hands are moist/still wet after washing, makes a huge difference, too. See if you can find a salon nearby that can do a hydrating paraffin treatment for you.
Thick lotion. I'm in Florida and if we have to use the heater, (dries the air out and its usually very humid) the back of my hands get soooooo dry. Also, if I go to snow country (my family lives in Michigan), I also use Silicone Glove by AVON. Always had to as a child, if going outside. It's really greasy, though. Kinda like a preventative. Heck these days I'll have to have warm moist air after so long up there! Had a facial mostly for that!!😂😂😂😂 my cousin works there, so she knew they did that. It was some kind of warming fan that also added humidity. So maybe in your home you need a humidifier??? Does your sinuses hurt like crazy too?? Mine do when air is heated. Edited last line(typo)
Has anyone got a link for that style of bit? I've tried various places online, and also NCE shop (and the links in the description) - but I can't find it anywhere! There are some bits that aren't as defined as that particular one and would rather have one of the same specs and not an inferior one. Bit annoying!
@NailCareerEducation Thanks for the link. That was your Web page I was on, as well as every single link in your video description. Your landing page doesn't show the files section - even when sliding each section to the right. Also, when "view all" on "essentials," it only shows one box of a 3 bit set (which doesn't include 'the one'). Only after you commented, I went back for another look. Obviously, I used the menu button on my first and second attempt, so after your comment, I did the whole thing again and still couldn't find them. I then used the search button with "bit," and a LOAD of them turned up. I'm no pro, but I've built my own website using w press. I'm on mobile, so now thinking about it, I wonder if the view of your website (and functions) is different from desktop. So I'm glad you messaged, thanks.
A lot of time cost has to do with their overhead, the quality of the final outcome, and the years of experience the nail technician has. Naturally it also makes a difference in which country you’re in but in North America in Canadian funds you’re looking at anywhere from fifty to two three hundred dollars and I suppose up depending on the nail art and the length et cetera . and when I say $50 that may be someone who is relatively new trying to build a clientele or just starting. If it was someone of experience, I think you’re looking at around $80-$120 again it really varies on what you’re getting done
Suzie, I’ve been googling but with no success- I wonder if you could give some advice please 🙏🏻 I caught my finger at work yesterday and the hyponychium was sore after, I’ve caught it again today and now bleeding. Is there anything I can do to reduce soreness and risk of infection as it heals? I’m always hand washing (small kids) and currently have a fresh set on, so I’m reluctant to bandage it up as it’ll wash off in 5 minutes (and hide my claw) 😂
Oh OUCH! I’ve done that once I put it in ice to reduce pain and inflammation. Once that goes away you can use nail glue to stabilize it. When you can Shorten is as short as it can go. Once it’s calmed down you can work on it. But make sure it’s stable. If applicable wait for it to grow out alittle before adding any products to that area. With out seeing it it’s hard to be precise with advice- so this is general advice

Using the same brush for dust on the table🫣and nails?

Obviously, I used the menu button on my first and second attempt, so after your comment, I did the whole thing again and still couldn't find them. I then used the search button with "bit," and a LOAD of them turned up. I'm no pro, but I've built my own website using w press. I'm on mobile, so now thinking about it, I wonder if the view of your website (and functions) is different from desktop. So I'm glad you messaged, thanks.
How much should acrylic nails and gel polish cost when done in a nail salon?
A lot of time cost has to do with their overhead, the quality of the final outcome, and the years of experience the nail technician has. Naturally it also makes a difference in which country you’re in but in North America in Canadian funds you’re looking at anywhere from fifty to two three hundred dollars and I suppose up depending on the nail art and the length et cetera . and when I say $50 that may be someone who is relatively new trying to build a clientele or just starting.
If it was someone of experience, I think you’re looking at around $80-$120 again it really varies on what you’re getting done
That sheds a lot of light on the price that should be charged!
Grazie❤ auguri anche a te
Where can I get that bit? :)
It’s called the French Cut Bit at nailcareer.com
You kook gorgeous! I love your glasses.
Suzie, I’ve been googling but with no success- I wonder if you could give some advice please 🙏🏻
I caught my finger at work yesterday and the hyponychium was sore after, I’ve caught it again today and now bleeding. Is there anything I can do to reduce soreness and risk of infection as it heals?
I’m always hand washing (small kids) and currently have a fresh set on, so I’m reluctant to bandage it up as it’ll wash off in 5 minutes (and hide my claw) 😂
Oh OUCH! I’ve done that once
I put it in ice to reduce pain and inflammation.
