Melee Barret is such an underdog character, which makes these challenges my favorite ones. We all know how broken Tifa is, give me some Barret gameplay any day!
I love RejectVII (Remake/modern VII project), for so many reasons big and small. The unique interaction like Cloud apologizing about a performance and barret shrugging it off because he knows and appreciated the effort as well as the intent more like a marathon than a sprint. It's awesome. I'm so excited to see everything in Rebirth when I can.
I played remake part 1 very casually, didn’t get too into it like Rebirth. It’s always so cool to see pro’s use Barret melee in part 1. 😄 (something I missed out on) amazing run!!!
I feel like I won’t likely use barret melee offensively but this shows that he can very well be done to be melee even as a tanky support when you don’t need a ranged character as much

Old video, but I have an idea. What if you attached Ice to HP Absorb? Seems like a better way to heal than Enemy Skill, since ice does a lot of damage during the second phase
