Cool video Ed! I am also a fan of Music On Vinyl. 👍🏻
Nice releases, really like the color vinyl. But have to stick with my RCA/SONY releases, can't afford to go down that rabbit hole of collecting every ELVIS album that's been rereleased. I'm just a poor ole country boy lol.

That looks like a good greatest hits album. I avoid the Essential Elvis Presley on vinyl because of poor quality control. In one instance both records were side A and B and another time the record spindle was so poor I had a hard time placing the record on the player.
The new 4 LP Set Worldwide Gold Hits from MOV sounds great, too.
SUPER ELVIS +++++++++++++++++++++
love them!really good quality sound!
Enjoyed your post Ed. I think if anyone has recently started collecting Elvis albums, they won't go far wrong with Music On Vinyl, Friday Music and Speakers Corner releases... The only down side is the cost, (particularly on some of the harder to find Friday Music releases). I've collected quite a few recently, mainly because my original albums crackle a little now and as you mention, these releases are so quiet. Steve (UK)
Hi Ed hope you and your family are doing well, I have almost all the MOV and the Friday Music and like you said the reproduction of the cover and the vinyl and the sound are all superb.
Hi Ed. Isn't vinyl listening wonderful ? Very cool if you find good vinyl. I have an Andy Kim album with his big hit Baby I Love You on Steed Records. The record producer Jeff Barry partnered with Andy Kim on his label, Steed, which is mastered by Dot Records. The short-lived company had "quiet" plays. I have one of them. You wouldn't know the needle was on the record, it is so quiet, much like your are saying about the Music on Vinyl series. Andy Kim's record is one of the finest records i own. The look of the record and the grooves are simply brilliant with a beautiful sheen. The sound is outstanding. The drum sound on the opening track with Andy Kim's famous hit "Baby I Love You' just sends chills down your spine and the chorus ladies are so brilliant much like the chorus on Suspicious Minds, it sends you to another zone. I love the quiet vinyl with great sound. Can't beat the music on vinyl !! Take care.
Really Awesome
i like the 72 version of Live at Madison Square as the music goes into eachother no bands
Great collection ed tcb limited edition.
Nice collection my friend
My favorite I've got to get that one on CD I don't have that one either but I'll get it
Great video Ed 👍🏻
I love the Music On Vinyl albums ...incredibly well produced!
I have all the ones you showed ..
Apart from Elvis Now !
And the 50 greatest hits !
They are great quality....
Cheers Ed 🥂
For the first time listening to you Ed, I could hear your new York accent a bit. It's great, but just didn't expect it. You always do great in your presentations, I'm hoping you will get to discussions of the songs, reason we became fans in the first place! Not being critical Ed, you do great. But when I hear blue suede shoes, I thought of Elvis. Not albums. Much love you and family.
I don't have that one on CD but I'm going to get it that's the way it is I don't have on CD so far
Take care Ed and I have biggest part of them I just don't have all of them but I will get them I don't get the records because if I do move I'm afraid they will get broke so I get the CDS
MOV does great work 👍
Got that one on CD
Hey Ed
Thank you for the great video. Have a question for you friend. Where do you buy your vinyl and those wonderful MOV Elvis LPs?
I usually get them from my local record shops or as gifts from my viewers. 👍
I have several of these releases Ed and I love em! They look and sound great and are worth picking up , I would recommend them.
Great reviews Ed keep up the good work my friend. Love from the UK 🇬🇧
Thanks Ed another great clip....as i have all the original L.P.s i just don't collect any more vinyl (i do collect more cds tho) i have all the bootlegs/exports that came out in the day so i have quite a huge vinyl collection (enough for this older fan lol) i do remember when Elvis Now came out and being a bit disappointed with the contents...thank goodness Madison sq Garden came out shortly after...then the Aloha but then albums went downhill again with the Elvis album releases .. i loved live on stage from memphis even tho SO many songs were eliminated, Promised Land, Elvis Today and Moody Blue...but really it's a shame there was such a lack of getting great songs to Elvis to record in the 70s....and Elvis being on tour so much he was not really interested in recording in the studio...it is what it is but really it makes one sad thinking about what could have been so much better with better songwriters and producers....and the manager of course!!! When one was seeing Elvis live from 69 to 76 it was really sad to hear the quality of the goods in the albums albums go downhill...
i have three of the releases you showed they do sound great
I really enjoy the music on vinyl, tyvm Ed and great review 👍🏼 ⚡️⚡️
I totally agree Ed on them.
I have a couple I believe and they are Elvis in Memphis and That’s The Way It Is.
They sound great and are awesome. To bad I just focused on FTD’s and Fridays Music after only.
Another great review Ed and enjoyed it very much 😎👍🏻🙌
TCB ⚡️⚡️
Love your videos, They look great , & probably sound great with all their technology we have today, but I'll stick to my original copies that my mom collected from the 1950s & all of my original records that I started collecting in the early 1960s till Elvis passed away, if anything I'll try to collect
original memorable that I may not have. Between my mom ,my younger sister and I we have alot of original Elvis collectibles that my son & my sister's kid will enjoy 😉 👍
My opinion is slightly different, as I believe MOV reissues are essential. I'm not an audio file, but I can sure tell the MOV typically has a much higher sound quality. I do agree with you 100% of how quiet it is when you drop the needle on anything from this label.
Nice looking array of MOV releases!
Got them two good albums 1970s
Good morning thanks Again my, you tube Friend. I’m not sure if I have any of these..LP’s ..I’m NEW too collecting Vinyl. For about three years. I think ..I asked you about the Laurel the Blue Hawaii Box 3 lp set. Could you do a review of this box set?
Thanks
Erik
I don’t have that particular 3 LP set Erik so I can’t review it. 👍
Hope to see a Today release on MOV, maybe orange vinyl?
It's a tough world for any Elvis collector especially new collectors, an expensive hobby that's for sure. I'm terrible for purchasing repressings of previous MOV or Friday Music releases that I already have. Don't know why but I feel compelled to do it.
The problem with MOV reissues is the cover quality, if you compare to the first pressing or other editions, you will notice thath the MOV cover are much more darker and grainy, Elvis eyes look almost brown, check the GGG MOV, seems like they have taken picture of the cover
Back in the day when I bought Elvis Now when it was released, I considered it a strong demaration that the "comeback" period was over. After the 68 TV Special, From Elvis In Memphis, Memphis to Vegas/Vegas to Memphis, On Stage Feb 1970, That's The Way It Is and Elvis Country (I considered Love Letters From Elvis just a possible hiccup when released) I had this creepy feeling that it was over. I was riiiight. I never cared for the albums that came after. Just like the soundtrack period, those 1970 studio albums only had a couple of songs on each that were great.
I don't agree with your thinking the Elvis live albums were great and 1975 album Elvis today was all good except ,shake a hand ? 1976 album from ep boulevard was all good and moody blue should have had the studio version of my way and unrealesed concert song of America ? TCB
@@davidfranson9786 the only live albums I like are International Hotel and On Stage Feb 1970. The studio version of My Way is soso. I wish they had issued the studio version of For The Good Times on the Welcome To My World compilation. EP Blvd and Moody Blue each had a few good songs on them. I stand by that.
@@davidfranson9786 l am not a fan of 70s Elvis in general. I think the 1970 Nashville session was his last great session.
I just love your videos and your sense of humor...I don't have "bionic" ears either and I can't hear what "dogs can hear"...too funny...but yes these versions sound really good...quiet like you said. The "Elvis From Memphis", i know it's difficult to predict or compare 33rpm to 45rpm, but how do you think this version will sound compared to the MoFi 45rpm One-step version that will be coming out sometime? I also agree completely with your statement that these versions are not necessities to have, but like you said, if you can't find them anywhere else or do not have them, they sound really really good and clear, and they definitely sound better than old beat up copies. I'm wondering, on your system, who thinks they sound better Ed, you are Gigi?? :)
It's a Limited Edition Ed😄 ...after all NOTHING BEATS AN ORIGINAL RCA VINYL; the Friday/MOV etc... you can name the Label Releases; it's most of all a digitally remastered Vinyl Sound Quality AND a very poor made Vinyl-Quality that sounds not as good as it should be, play the CD's It's the same REALLY; but without crackles and pops👌; ...for sure
@ if you like to listening to good old analogue Sound on CD, collect the first Pressing CD's from Germany released back in the mid/late 1980's; i'm not joking...it's for real!
@@ The EU Sony Legacy Vinyl Release of "Gold 2" and "Moody Blue" has the Original Analogue Sound but the Vinyls crackles like hell😤
I transfer the original issue vinyls on to a CD. That gives a unique sound. Don't find I can hear much crackle or noise from those originals. Very different mixes to what we hear today on reissues
@@paulwheatley141 👌...that's the way it is or should be! A fine Response; thanx Paul!
Don't have that's the way it is on CD I've got that one on CD
Do the MOV releases go back to the analog tapes or do they source from digital files?
Pretty sure they are digital.
Hi Ed. How do the LPs sound compared to The Album Collection 60 CD Set?
About the same.
@TheKingsCourt1972 Cool. Thanks for your reply. That means sensational sound quality all round.
