ive been getting a lot of mileage out of just letting people super dash at me and uppercutting them but whenever i try to in i have no idea what im doing. and sometimes when i do get a hit im like indoor cat that finally caught a mouse, im too surprised and overwhelmed to capitalize and the moment passes
this should help me with both the approach and building confidence so i can follow through

Wrong. Shouldve definitely recommended Teen Gohan, Master Roshi, and Captain Ginyu for beginner friendly mid screen combos.
No teen gohan for beginners, they learn nothing else than mashin square.
And combos aren't that important as mix/zoning.
@@kaichu9446 Fighterz is a mashy game. Mix and zoning arent great indicators of a good player btw. Keep learning young juaaaan.

You know, for so long I've played games where the assist is mostly a combo extender, so for you to remind me of doing something as simple as "getting *in* using the assist" puts a whole new perspective into how to play (as well as a slight learning curve).
I think Goku Black is a really good character for beginners to learn also.

agreed, i did pretty well without even touching his quarter circle back moves, add those in and he becomes a beast
ive spent sooo long trying to find the right assist because from what i had heard back in time, you needed assist to help with combo extension. So i played with C assist for a long time thinking it was the way to do it. It rocked my world when i found a good guide that explained what assist for what situation. Just like this small guide is very helpful

Fantastic and concise guide! My team is mainly Bardock, Videl, and Base Goku. This makes me realize I have been using their assists in the wrong ways. They're my favorite team to play though, so I need to figure out how to use their assists more effectively.

Video suggestion: How to attempt to take advantage during an block string and mix up efficiently. For example, I’ve gotten IAD and movement pretty down pact and can cross over quick but I seem to whiff it like 90% of the time in a real match. I guess this may just be exp. And play time but it just seems like an overwhelmingly chance to whiff.

It’s because you’re pressing the button too fast. You’re still on the same side when you press it so it comes out the front way. You gotta actually time it so it hits the person on the other side.
1:27 I used to do this too many times for neutral in FigherZ. My opponent would be in the air, and I spam lows hoping that it hits and then I either get hit with an assist into a combo or a super dash.
I still need to learn how to get in with my assists and how they function overall.

how do you switch to like the enemy team character in training mode?
On ps4 controller click L3 (left stick) then again to record. Settings can let you record the enemy team automatically if you want to simulate stuff asap (you do a combo but you want to practice a situation where the opponent mashes vanish).
that is record command! I have a guide in my guide section that breaks down how to use it to get better!
The first actual team that I've been running on FighterZ is Blueku, Android 17, and Adult Gohan (all A assist). Mainly I just think all of those characters are really cool which is why I play them, and I've gotten to demon rank on pc since genuinely trying to get into the game. Could you perhaps give some pointers for making this team work, whether that be team order, assists, or gameplan in a match?
I feel like that's a pretty hard team to start the game with, adult gohan and 17 are both more on the end of being specialist characters. But if you're enjoying them i respect it. I would say Goku blue (a), Adult Gohan (a), 17 (a) would be the best for that set up however with 2 short range assists behind goku blue, you're going to have to work harder in the neutral! Up close though you'll have two strong defensive assists that your opponent will have to keep an eye out for!
@@MisterAcolyte I appreciate the feedback! And yeah, I’ve definitely noticed some struggle with the neutral. Ultimate Gohan was my favorite dbz character and android 17 has recently become a favorite as well. If I had to replace one though, I’d be willing to replace gohan; his changes with the leveling system can be tricky for me to utilize properly. Could piccolo maybe fit onto the team? Him and 17 are pretty fitting thematically but idk about efficiency.
@@Zimmer8000Gaming honestly if you switch jiren instead of bluku you have one of the most annoying shells to deal with because 214s into barrier give medium or heavy starter and the cant do anything about it. also i have some tods with both teams on my channel if your interested

I'm trying to get good at FighterZ since 3 years ago, and I never seem to get any better at it for some reason. Sometimes I block high and my character jumps, sometimes my character doesn't block at all, blue combos land on my but I was mashing square so I should've teched, I can't seem to tech dragon rushes even though I mash really hard, my combos miss a lot, and I seem to be doing everything right, but it never works. Sometimes simply just staying at the corner and crouching can leave completely without any ideas of what to do. It's frustrating and I feel like I'm going in circles. What should I do at this point? Give up? I like FighterZ, but I never seem to understand how this game works...and how some people mash everytime and it works for them and how I mash and it never works. If anyone reads this...please help.
Hey! welcome to the channel! First off, I'd recommend checking out my guide playlist section! I have a ton of guides there for each aspect of the game! Improving offense, improving defense, improving assist usage, all that good stuff! I'm sure if you watch those they will help you a ton!
A lot of what you listed are minor things that are easy to fix! For example not teching out of blue combos. You're supposed to hold L,M,or H while being combo'd, not mash it. Hold L, and the direct you want to go (i'd recommend down) and you'll always roll out of a dropped combo! Blocking just comes down to practice and not panicking on defense! The reason you're jumping is because you're hitting up/back instead of back! As far as being in the corner, that's where the different types of guard cancels come in!
Fighting games are all about knowledge. The more knowledge you have, the easier they become! My advice would be to learn more about how the game works, and try not to get frustrated since you're still in the process of learning the game!

Aco has a video explaining why lvl 1 Spark is strong. I'm new to the game, and I do prefer lvl 1 and only use lvl 3 if I lose a character before being able to use lvl 1.

Is goku black good replacement for bardock ? I play vegeta on point and janemba on anchor
I'd really only recommend goku black on point but it could work!

What of you have a blockstun assist and a DP instead?
The DP assists work a little differently since it's supposed to be used defensively! but the theory is the same. For offensive purposes you want to move toward you opponent while blocking and call it! You can also super dash in then call it if your opponent is in the air!
is there a char other then bardock who would also serve the same purpose really dont want to buy them because i dont really like them enough too want too spend the money on them.
you could use goku black on B assist instead!

Base goku is a good replacement that isn't too difficult to play!
