  • In this episode we remove the Front Drive Shafts from a Subaru Forester, flip them over to the other side and then re-fit them.
This will make them rotate in the opposite direction to what they have been for the first half of their life and all the internal components will run on nice, mostly unused surfaces.
This guide is also relevant to Replacing Drive Shafts with new units as well.
This guide is also relevant to pretty much all models of Subaru's apart from the fact of the method of connection to the transmission.

Except that's not a "driveshaft" it's a cv axle aka half shaft aka cv shaft. The DRIVESHAFT is in the center of the chassis, from transmission to rear diff.

what your calling a drive shaft is actually what we here call the axel shaft, not even close to a drive shaft. waste of my time, thanx anyways!
