    What do you think about the Tiger Nike reign? Nike just being its usual self?

    Nike has lost their direction. They lost Roger Federer too!

    He’s the reason I ever cared about golf. I grew up with a grandfather who would always watch Arnie and Ernie and Jack and Watson and Norman etc. but none of them got me caring myself.
    As soon as Tiger came, I got hooked.

      Yeah he hooked a lot of people. The PGA of America always like to brag and boast about their player development programs, but only two event of late have grown the game, and the PGA had nothing to do with it. One was COVID boom, the other Tiger boom. Without those two golf would be in a bad state. PGA is so out of touch with how to grow the game it’s a joke.

      @@liongolfacademy maybe do a video on how you think they could grow the game?
      Maybe it just comes down to money lol.

      @@signedupfordoconly4275 Well the PGA of America, much like the PGA Tour is a "non profit" organization. However their board makes a ton of money. If they had anyone good in there that isn't about promoting their own career, golf would already be in the school curriculum. That is a simple starting point.

    What happened was he grew out of his prime. That's it, got older and had some injuries.

    • @liongolfacademy
      @liongolfacademy  27 дней назад

      If that is true why does Nike still have Jordan and pay him multiple hundreds of millions of year when he has been out of his prime for almost 30 years. Reality is Nike made inferior products as they started a Nike line just for Tiger in hopes of riding the same wave as Jordan. They don’t have a golf line anymore, so they even knew it was a bad idea.

      @liongolfacademy Nike and Jordan was successful because basketball is 100 times more popular like are you kidding her rofl

      @michaellancaster7092 😂 thanks for proving my point, it wasn’t about tigers injuries, it was about Nike not understanding golf and trying to get involved where they shouldn’t.

      And just a quick FYI basketball has 800m fans worldwide and golf has 450m fans. So it’s only twice as popular.
