I use Adams diluted 1:4 in the IK foam sprayer and it works very well.

I have been using Adams but since your last video I ordered Maniac and used it. Diluted for summer 10/1 and it did a nice job. Definitely more economical to use Maniac. Prayers to you wife.

I’ve been liking DIY Detail All Clean at 15/1 in an IK foamer. Most economical solution.
For sure, but I find that on more neglected tires I need another pass or two with all clean then with maniac. All clean is my maintenance wheel and tire cleaner though because it’s great for that

I cleaned my tires this past week on my Pilot and on my moms Camry. Blend of city and country driving. I did a comparison of these 2 straight from the 16oz bottles. The Adams cleaned waaay more and pulled out way more nasty-ness and browning from the tires. I was expecting more from DIY Detail All Clean, I thought it would be just as good if not better.

use Adam's in a Marolex Axel, diluted 2/3 product< 1/3 water. Out of the bottle is for bombs, and to overuse product. Foams perfectly with the Axel, thinking to go 1:1 and see how that works.

@@Ecdetails i've used Eco Wheel a lot lately. After a good clean, I use the 303 Touchless Sealant. Makes the next clean up easier, and the Eco has no problem with the brake dust.

Adams doesn't promote dilution because they want to sell more product. I bought brake buster early in my detailing because the rag company was touting 1 to 15 dilution. May as well be using ph neutral car soap at that point. All I know is the strengths I've used adams it's been one pass on tires and they are clean. No more browning just black beautiful tires. Oh and brake buster sucks.

I did buy some diy detail all clean rtu. I hope it's as good as they claim. If I could put 45 oz of water and 3 oz of concentrated all clean in my marolex sprayer. You could spray all day at that dilution and it would still be cheap. Can't wait to try it this weekend.

I think for Adam’s, it’s more of that first wash type thing, I mean for people that detail professionally, and on cars that you don’t maintain, Adam’s is your go too because it’s the only way you get that full reset

Eddie i've been using primus cut 1:3 the last few days to scrub moldy texture white panel board in my basement. Its really capable! I will have to try it on my wheels/tires. The 2.0 version they state you can use it has a bucket wash. Very versatile. It might just be my do it all APC for exterior use. For a hobbyist.
Ingenerally go ductile 1:10 or 1:5 if I need something , primus 1:3 is amazing as a presoak
After seeing this you made me a believer and I placed an order. You know I used your code too cause something gotta offset that shipping charge. I like Adam's and Nanoskin Non Acid for wheel cleaning, but this dilution ratio is awesome and will go a long way for me. Also Mafra has some great customer service. Emailed them this morning about the dilution bottles in their videos as I wanted to buy them. Boom, sent me an email back today that they are now added. Order placed!

Personally given the choice between a ph11 and 13 with similar performance for something I’m going to be using several days a week, I’m going with the milder product. Plus smell and dilution are also good with maniac

I've been using adams 1:1 the last year or so. It does a great job. But maniac will be my next tire cleaner. Big fan of labo products. Just to add i can clean all my 4 car wheels with about 300ml using a spray bottle. 150ml of adams and 150ml of water. Foaming uses much more product of course but even out of a regular spray head it will foam somewhat cut 1:1.

im switching over to maniac cause of your videos after i run out of my turtle wax hyper foam jug. saving $3.30 a liter for a more powerful product. Great video easy E... i will try out the maniac product after i run out of op grime...ive used Adam's before and diluted it on my vehicle with really good results. Always wait for an Adam's sale of thier products ive bought a gallon for 29 bucks...my only complaint on adams is it does not have rust prevention like brake buster...maniac being ph 11 and smelling better is intriguing

I got the turtle wax hyper foam in that Black Friday kit from car supplies warehouse. Got to try it this morning, my tires weren’t super trashed, but it pulled everything off in one pass. Seems like a good product, I’d love to see you test it vs maniac someday. I’m going to do that test sometime next week, I’ll let you know how it goes 👍

You'll use half the bottle spraying wheel cleaners on with a spray bottle, use a foam cannon. Its done in 2 seconds and it should be diluted anyway. Full strength is rarely if ever needed.

Still cut it 1:1 some products say they are amazing and they are trash. That 1:1 is a off label use makes Brake Buster look like water and cuts through grime and double your product if 1:1 you can foam it.

Guys I have 6 piston calipers with super dusty pads on my daily now. So dusty that 100 miles of driving has the wheel coated brown . Do I just give up on being gentle and bring out the bazooka every time?
I use maniac for the Alfa 1:8 and use a iron remover every like 3rd wash and I brambals

Is adams good to use on new black alloy wheels like the 23 accord touring trim wheels or is it too strong? I have been using brake buster and was looking to try something different I’m new to the detail washing world

hey how are ya, I want to make sure not to give out false information I personally wouldn't use anything super hi ph like adams on ceramic wheels, I have tried Maniac / brakebuster and they did fine on ceramic rims

Definitely not true. There is no guarantee that Adams at 1:3 would be better. When some products are diluted, they lose quite a bit of strength. The only way to tell would be head to head. Personally, I only use Adams undiluted.
@@EcdetailspH is logarithmic, meaning you need 10x to move 1 pH. If you dilute Adams 1:10 you’ll get a pH of 12. To reach 11 you need another 10x, so you end up at 1:100 to reach 11. A lot of people don’t understand this. Once you get one pH down it’s almost impossible to tell your dilution after that. I’d also say I think pH is a poor estimate for how well a product is going to work.
This is in German but shows Stjarnagloss Forst vs APC and how the cleaning power is not necessarily tied to pH. The Forst didn’t corrode the metal like the APC but did clean the best.
