Hands down the best shaving videos online. Thanks for the knowledge Geo. I'm in Canada so when I put an order in it will be a big one to make it worthwhile on the shipping costs. Love the company's story. Can't believe it took me to over 40 to get wet shaving down. Bought "The Workhorse" Merkur 34C. It's been great with Treet blades. 3 passes, daily. Life is good.
Hey Geo. Hope you are well and a great video as always and looking forward to a great 2023. I have been watching your videos for the last year and thanks to them I have gone down the rabbit hole of wet shaving and I love it. I used to be a cartridge razor user, then like most people went through too much irritation. I then went to electric shavers and didn't look back, but now I love wet shaving and find it therapeutic and a better experience than my years of electric razor usage. I am from across the pond in the UK and have ordered items a few items from Shave Nation and now feel like part of the family so thank you for that. I ordered the Henson AL13 Razor +++ as shown in this video and I absolutely love it. But now I am looking at getting the Merkur 34C razor as a bit of a milder razor, after seeing your video covering the razor. Although I have found it difficult to find a completely comprehensive guide in one place or a video for all of Merkur's razors with the codes being a bit confusing, to say the least, and lack of information if they are mild/aggressive and the variance/comparison between them altogether. I thought it might be a good video idea to cover for any person looking at the brand or newcomers to wet shaving to understand the razors to make an informed decision. Thank you for your support and I'm glad you're finally enjoying your shaves. There are a lot of Merkur razors out there. Which ones specifically are you interested in other than the 34C?
@@geofatboy Thanks Geo, your videos and the wider community of wet shaving has really helped in my journey. For me just at the moment, I am only looking at the 34c as it is a milder razor. I was looking at the 41c as a more vintage razor to eventually get and loved your video comparing the 41c and 42c together which gave me more information if I wanted to later purchase. I just thought a comprehensive video covering all merkur razors, similar to your video covering 41c and 42c razors together. But comparing all of the merkur razors against each other ie (mildness, efficency, aggressiveness); and also similarities to other razors not of that brand would be beneficial information for would be customers to make an informed decison. Hey Geo! I hate the glue dots on DE blades. Do you have any tips removing them before putting the blade in?
Might try rinsing the blade under hot water - should remove most of the wax/glue.
Your not supposed to wipe the blade but-have you ever tried vegetable oil? Might do it!

Great vid as always Geo; awesome! Hey, not sure if you've done this, but can you do a totally non-dominant hand shave to see how ya do? I recently suffered a nasty broken elbow & maybe will never be able to shave with my right hand again! Shaving left handed feels very weird but am getting used to it & have had to swap to long handled DE razors. Your thoughts & technique would be really appreciated. Cheers Geo have a great day! 🙂

@@geofatboy Na, run down by a fella in a car Geo - Yep it hurt! Picked up a Rex Envoy XL & the Merkur Sledgehammer. Both working well with either a Feather or Voskhod - My technique is a bit rubbish so the extra handle length helps alot in getting around my jawline/neck. Also unable to skin stretch as my hand just won't reach my face. It's a whole new learning curve but gonna keep going and not cut myself at all! Thanks Geo, ya vids & attitude are an inspiration 🙂
Against the grain on my neck is from my right ear to my left ear it's really bizarre

Curious - why not use the Astra green blade?
I think feather blades are his favorite and they're bit more sharp, making a more aggressive shave, for sensitive skin astra's are probably doing bit better and giving not as much irritations if youve got problems with that
The Feather rated higher in sales so I used it. Have you tried the Astra yourself?
Shaving with the top 11 would be so Spinal Tap.
