I went to the dealer to order one of these thinking I was going to pay 62k. They quickly introduced me to their markup price on all C8s. I quickly introduced them to my backside and left.
Haha...this happened to me in November 2020. I ended up getting a 2017 Jaguar F-type R...great car....I will be getting the convertible c8 when the markup goes away :)

I had 2 dealerships in my area that were notorious for dealer markups. You know where they are now? GONE! Stop patronizing dealers that rip you off!

I told myself I'm getting a 2020 c8 in 2023, and I will! My friends and family will think it's not a good decision on my part to pay that kind of money for a car, but I for once in my life want to own something I've only imagined myself having. I've been working the same job for 5 years and now make enough to afford the payments and still be able to handle other bills, just I would have to cut spending on things I once did, which would be worth it. I can't wait to get behind the wheel of my very own and hit the road.

I just bought a 2020 5 days ago with only 6000 miles and I’m absolutely in love with it. I felt the same way. It’s been my dream car for years and now I actually have it. Anything is possible. Speak it into existence! Life is to short to let other people tell you how to live it!

I was so surprised that it took that long for you to get the car. I'm not happy about that! I want to build it and have it come shortly. Thank you again for posting this fantastic video. It was very helpful to me in making some "on the fence" decisions. Funny comment about the luggage! I guess they are getting you for everything they may as well try and sell you some luggage too!

Ride looks good af! Love how you did the two tone. I love that look but also don't want to spend the extra amount for the convertible. I plan on doing a very similar build, but Arctic White and red interior, then blacking out the top as well. I want the transparent roof though. Having a Tesla has spoiled me on that feature. Can't wait to hear the exhaust. The stock exhaust leaves some more sound to be desired.
I have bought base model and now enjoy doing mods and upgrades, recently mounted C8 Victor racings wing and I am very satisfied how it looks and acts.
I had a C7 Z51. Moved up to a C8 Base 2LT. The C8 is a huge upgrade even without Z51. Reviewers did a disservice telling people they “must” get a Z51.
Oh GOD I feel your pain on choosing a color! I just ordered a 1SS1LE and picking the color was the hardest part of the deal.Even after I got to the dealer I still wasn't sure what color I wanted!
totally can understand, all color options are just so damn attractive and each one gives a very unique and special touch to the magnificent C8.
Great video, I have the similar spec on order, did you get ppf and ceramic coating? The only thing I wish as an option for 1lt as an add on is rearview camera mirror and blind spot alert

We share a lot of similarities, I’m going for a very similar spec. Will probably keep the callipers black and with blue seat belts. Currently on a waiting list but should get an allocation in the next couple of months. Looking forward to the videos!

I'd probably get the Z51 package for the extra cooling especially since I would like to track the car. I would've made that the ONLY option if I had to IMO, even without the magride since I'd probably upgrade to Ohlins coilovers down the line ;)
I totally understand why you kept the price down. It allowed you to make your own unique enhancements. Sort of like someone buying a Camaro 1lt then doing their own unique mods without breaking the bank in the process.

Your wheels you picked out are very cool. Most times people pick out garish ugly aftermarket wheels. The trident wheels are ok but not the best. The standard 5 spoke wheels actually look really nice on the car.
How do you find the clearance on the 1LT? Ever scuff the front end on bumps or in a tiered parking garage (not sure what ya call 'em in the USA, we call 'em Parkades here in Canada)? That's one thing I've wondered about.

The most capable sports car I've ever owned was an 2013 Audi TT RS. It stickered for $64,000 as I had ordered it new from Germany, but surprisingly, my dealer gave me a discount for such a rare car, and I got mine for $58,000. At a price of $60,000, I think the C8 is very well equipped and more capable than my TT RS (excluding AWD), so I would feel just fine ordering a base C8. Black paint (no premium $) and red leather interior. And I'd be quite happy. Better than the best sportscar I've ever owned, and my first midengine car. The challenge is getting a dealer to order what I want and sell it at that price!
Is the 1LT seat bottom more comfortable that the 2LT seat bottom? Secondly, is the 1LT seat back confining compared to the 2LT with the seat wing adjustment?

Could have done ceramic tint on the clear top to block out the heat.. So u never plan on taking the top off during the day

Do you have a problem with blind spots? I heard that was a good reason to get the 2LT because it has a camera in the back.
Good for you. The scatpack challenger is the same way, you get alot with the base scatpack package.

KW 3 coil over suspension. They are serious track upgrades that perform well on street.
I went full boat and loved that I did it complete car cost for 2023 including extended warranty for car and wheels, well worth it, front wrap, tinted windows, and UV tint for front windshield. Over sticker was $10, 000, total in this 2023 $130,000 including sales tax. Love this car and you also get a discounted trip to Ron Fellows driving school, definitely do that tons of fun.

No paint was harmed. All cuts were made in a gap and when no gap is there, we use knifeless tape.

How do you get the front lip? Order it through the parts department and install it yourself?

I think Z51 adds the electric rear diff. That is a game changer performance thing that I would really want, and it would be hard or impossible to add.
Not sure why he didn’t mention it. That was the big one.
What about the Z51 axle ratio? Does it give you more acceleration? I wouldn't want a higher ring gear in my Z06, because first gear would be unusable (which it was even stock before I got taller wheels), but with the 8 speed auto, could be really useful to launch like that.

Is a transparent roof an option? Also sw a vid of a guy who had I believe the 3LT the interior was super nice It had 3 tone was sky gray with black side and some yellow strips on each side ..I'm guessing its not an option on the 1 or 2LT ? So I'm wondering is it possible to get that aftermarket then just sell my stock seats ?

Just picked up an Hypersonic gray 1LT and love it the color is much nicer in person than pics. Red mist was definitely an option for me too. You cannot go wrong with either color!

I have a bit of electro sensitivity IO hate all this wireless junk sitting right next to a wifi router gives me severe headaches in about n hr , so I wanted to stay away from all wireless junk or as much as possible.Anyway would a 1LT have less wireless things ? Id like to get the 2LT but only if most of the wireless can be disabled , Do you know if wireless like the wifi other wireless things can be disabled ?
Also I have a C5 now had it brand new for 18 yrs now but I always scrape goin out of my driveway , So id like the the lift option, did you say you put an after market in for only 200bucks?
