after owning my C8 Corvette for a few Weeks i have a list of things i did not know about the car. some good some bad.
Thanks for getting right to the point without all the "fluff" that other youtube videos have. Nice job. 👌
Yes...no shit, i like that.
I second this motion. Thanks for getting to the point instead of droning on about personal stuff.
To the point is awesome.
I don't care for the 20 minute introduction that most videos have. Thank you for not doing that!!!!!
Thank you Captain Obvious
Reaching for the 12-Volt connection is like trying to find the g-spot 😂😭
So it's easy you say? Good to know.

I would definitly look into some kind of after market part to protect that radiator.. that's a huge design flaw
i'm wit ya on that one Jon...that's a good point
My decade old Nissan Rogue had same problem. You can do the Home Depot mod by getting some mesh metal sheets and zip tying it down there. Does great job protecting. After 13 years it looks way better than yours. That’s crazy how much pebble damage on your new car. I practically have zero indentations if any.
The forums are full of complaints involving this inexplicably dumb design flaw. radiators near the ground and not protected from damage from road debris.
When he kept snapping the cap for the 12V power connector, all I could think of was "Stop Poppin' that Gum!" Madea's Family Reunion. Good stuff in this video. Interesting and fun too.
i had to order the mesh covers for my radiator. Just in case you didn't know my man. Great content you the reason i brought a c8
yep i got the ones that are easy to install from the outside on my C8 , only down side you can't open the front trunk with them on!
@@TheDarrin10 Incredible. I guess you get what you pay for..
@@TheDarrin10 Why not? Do not understand
I got on the wait list at Kerbeck Corvette in June of 2019. I received I low allocation number with them (145). My car was built in the second week of production in February 2020 and I took delivery of it at my local dealership here in CA the second week of March 2020. Kerbeck does not charge one cent over sticker. On new model Corvettes or limited availability of such, it is all in the allocation numbers game and Kerbeck is king of huge allocation slots. As far as insurance I have never seen anyone beat Grundy Insurance . I pay $860 per year with $0 deductible. I did finance with my dealer, no negotiating necessary. They gave me 2.65% thru PNC bank who they do business with. Not trying to brag here just trying to give your followers alternative information. Thanks for the video!!!
Kerbeck Corvette is a great dealer. I was trying to buy a 2005 C6 in September 2004 and the Washington DC area dealers wanted $10,000 over MSRP. I found Kerbeck's website and called them. The salesman said he could get me a fully loaded 3LT for MSRP in 2 weeks all he needed was a $1,000 deposit. Needless to say they got a check and I drove back to Virginia in my new C6. I still have it. Oh, and before I drove off their lot, the owner and a bunch of their staff came out and thanked me for buying it.
If you don’t mind me asking what part of CA I’m in the Bay Area
@@michaeljames7108 I am in Santa Barbra
@@MrMike-jx3gw Kinda reminds you of the Saturn dealerships that brought out the staff to show their appreciation and group photo and send off. Nice Touch.
@@richardmckenzie1973 Kerbeck is in New Jersey. How did you buy it there when you live in Santa Barbara Calif.???
The paddle shift tricks were the best, especially downshifting to the lowest possible gear, by holding the left paddle down!!! Thanks.
Yo probably one of the most helpful videos I've seen addressing all of the non-obvious things about the car. I'm impressed.
Great vid. Good tips in here and some stuff I didn't know even a month into owning.
One thing I figured out on mine: No need for a dash cam though if you have the PDR - just put a big enough SDcard in the slot and leave it to constantly record. That way you have footage should any crash/incident occur. Big capacity SD cards are cheap at Microcenter atm. That's what I did.
Keep up the good content!
Wait this car comes with a camera stock?
@@srjr2531 If you option it with the PDR (Performance Data Recorder), then yea.
Good job on the tips! There are probably a lot more "observations" items you'll come across. Keep the videos coming. Thank you.
Great job! I enjoyed the 0-60 in 2.9 seconds and you showed the C8 in a truly good light. Thanks
Thank you so much bro! I just recently purchased a Torch Red Stingray 22' just like urs!!! It's a beauty and your video is very helpful!!!
Thanks again & GodBless 🙏❤️
Thanks for the very informative video. On the battery, I ordered my Vette with the battery saver option for around $100 as I recall. I agree with you and others about the exposed radiators. There are after market screens available for the front intakes that aren't expensive and that are "must have" add ons in my opinion.
Never been a Corvette fan. But I do want one of these!
I always thought corvettes were ugly never liked them then saw one randonly a few months ago and i looked and said thats a chevy :o those c8s look insane for a chev
C7 z51 is fun. I owned it for 4 years and no maintenance yet. Drove it everyday and all over US. Even to Vegas and back 2 times and 2000 miles with no issues.
#MeToo
Great review. I never noticed the asymmetrical side view mirrors before. Your sponge was a useful way of showing the difference to the viewer.
Great personal review of the c8 it’s dope to see a real person w one too
Best to the point video I've seen in a long time. Great job!
Oh my God, that launch mode was nasty. Sweet car and great vid bro
Thanks for letting me know about the cig plug in. Thought I would have to hard wire my radar detector. Also the double paddle in neutral is awesome. Thanks man! You’re the man! Peace stay safe
Excellent video! Very informative. I am looking forward to your next one. I am in the process of looking for a low mileage C7 but would love a C8. Yours was the best I’ve seen on the tube, alot of the vids are slamming the C8 picking the car apart. Keep up the good work
Excellent video !!! Especially for the ACTUAL KEY in case the battery dies. Best idea yet. Wish I had that on my truck, would have come in handy more than once. Also, what Dave Dunkin said, getting to the point.
Just found your channel. Video well done. Simple, to the point. Good content in a short time. Will look for more of your content.
Looking at getting one. This video made me want even more. Thanks bro best video I’ve seen about the car.
Dude you were very thorough in going through the details and idiosyncrasies of the C8.
1000x better than Doug Demuro
very good video. nice explanations and gets to the point instead of dancing around with too much talk (like other instructional videos).
For 60k this thing is unbeatable great job GM
There’s not a lot of $60k C8’s out there. When you’re building one on the Chevy page, I could never put one together under $75k. Just some things you don’t wanna go without...
Buy 2 m5s for that
Daisy sis
Can’t get one for 60k
60k lol ya right good luck
Awesome video on the C8 Corvette!! As soon as I saw this video, I liked it and subscribed. Excellent job on this video and looking forward to seeing more of your channel.
A lot of the comments about your video are positive. It was eye-opening 4 me.I learned something today.
This is very straight to the point. Fantastic video!
Thank you so much for sharing. We learned some special things from you.
That's nice.
I have a 2004 SVT Cobra mustang and I'm the the original owner with 38000 miles on it and on the bottom where the heat exchanger is there is no grill for protection at all. The car has "eating" hub caps, tree branches, rocks all sorts of road debris at high speed and the heat exchanger never been damaged from it
Man You hit it out of the park Thanks for Targa Top tip ,dead battery key and everything else
Good video. Lots of cool info. Great job of narrating it too. I have looked at a couple of the new models. I noticed the radiators being in a vulnerable location too. This one particular car had 800 miles on it and damage to the radiator fins had already occurred. The mesh you mentioned would be helpful, but it would hinder radiators ability to cool too.
Beautiful Vette ! No one has ever built a perfect car. But the new Vette sure looks and runs gooooood !
I think the honeycomb inserts referenced would be fine for moving airflow. If you're not moving, well, then it doesn't matter if they are completely closed, right?
You're right, 'tuber did a great job on his vid.
Great video on C8 basics. Nice job!
DUDE..FULLY ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO...TO THE POINT, AND ON TO THE NEXT GOOD OR BAD ISSUES WITH THE CAR...
Nice man I was wondering about few things about C8 and you answered them all, thanks for the vid.
Car is awesome. Thanks for an awesome video. I would add a screen in front of those radiators.
This is actually a very informative, and practical, video.
Thank you for making a video from a view that’s NOT so far of GM’s ass that you can’t even see the sunshine
My 2021 Corvette is awesome a real buy for the money compared to the foreign exotics! It runs quiet but carries a real punch without all the noise! Thank you GM!
Mine is on order and can't wait. It's nice to have a simple explanation on stuff like this instead of wading through a long owner's manual, or checking a dozen threads online.
Thanks for the tips slick . Good looking ride .
Make sure you add the 2 quarts of trans fluid. Makes a big difference. Ceramic coat your wheels too, will help with dust
Why not add 8 qts of trans fluid?
I don't own a C8 but, this video was very informative. Thanks and keep up the great content 👍🏽
Excellent video - you get right to the point and provide useful info without all the fluff many of these users provide.
A lot of drivers side and passenger side mirrors measure differently. That's because of the severely different rearward angles from a close mirror, as opposed to a far mirror.
That makes sense to me.
Beautiful car. I want to buy the new Zora when it comes out. GM did great with the C8.
Nice job. I learned some new and very important modes for my new C8
Nice straightforward presentation. Good Job !!!
Awesome review. Straight to the point, without all the glitz and glamour. GREAT JOB, sir!
It is great, but tell him to reorder the words C8 and Corvette to Corvette C8. Beautiful car though!
Thanks for making this video. Great insights.
I enjoyed your video… Another tip you can use when you approach your vehicle and wanted to cool off before you get in… Just hold down the unlock button on your key fob and your windows will roll down automatically… Keep up the great work
Thanks Bro very informative. I’m just about ready to get one
October 2020 still waiting to see one of any color on the streets of Dallas Fort Worth Texas or on any interstate roads in Texas 🤠
Damn- now I need some god like launching wheels !!! Nice video
Great video! I love how installing the Victor racing wing leveled up my performances in race.
I've had mine since Mid November. Love it but man are you right about the break dust. Great vid
Thanks for the info! Got a '21 model coming myself....
Wait for the Z06!
Too late! Dealer delivery is this Monday 5/3!!
@@timcaffell6330 Most likely, an out-the-door Z06 will be $120,000. Most people can't even come close to fully utilizing even 300+ horsepower on the street, especially near big cities. Bragging rights are fun, though.
Dash cams should be offered on every vehicle...
Bet they'll become standard soon enough (Insurors and others have a real interest in that)
2 and 3 LT have a standard built in dash cam on the 2020 and 2021 that’s coming.
I am so satisficed with my C8 and now so excited for my order of Victor racing wing!!!
Good info video. Not sure if I needed to know any of those things before I buy...but again, good info.
As long as you continue putting out consistent content, this channel will be at 200k subs in the next year or two. Great on camera, really well spoken, editing is consistent with other car channels... honestly, I'm shocked that you only have 1,200 subs right now. Keep pushing dude... I just sub'd and can't wait to follow your journey.
I appreciate you 👍
The car ready has a front cam you can use as a dash cam go in your setting and play with it
Isn’t the front camera only with navigation, with PDR? My wife’s 18 Arcadia even has a front camera. I didn’t have one on my 14 C7 as they didn’t make it available with navigation until 15. Never made sense.
Nice video. I like your no non-sense approach to pointing out both your likes and dislikes. Keep up the good work.
Thanks
for the rads in front try expanded steel to stop those small stones. I did this on my P/U truck and you can throw a broomstick at it and not do damage. I sprayed it with truck bed liner.
I couldn't NO WAY order one without the Z51 package. It's a must.
Agree
I am surprised that no one else addressed the radiator issue. One of my thoughts when I saw how big those vents were was "there is no mesh to protect the radiator blades"?.
To a lesser extent the side ones as well
I would want the dealer to install a wire mesh protection screen before I drove thins thing off the lot. They can charge it to GM. Who should have it installed in the first place.
@@frankfarago2825 lol Lamborghini Huracan has the same issue. Cars without exposed radiators have damaged fins even. They have brushes you can get to straighten them back out
They could be mounted horizontal with a stone separator, but they are there for show as well as function.
Great job and love you getting right to the point
That radiator issue i never heard before great point
Excellent video... thank you !
Had me rolling at the “god like launches”. Good video.
I would open the door to install the top, gives you more room to play with. Great video!
Great video my friend! And Love your C8!!
Thanks!
I like that wheel choice
Nice video. And thanks for the tips. So should I really buy one. I’m a little worried about buying one in its first year.
Great video thank you... they do make brills for the radiators. Black zip ties holding in black wire mesh would work
This was dope very informative and to the point, nice vid! 👍
The reason for the size difference in side view mirrors comes down to the driver's seating position. In order to see around the C8's enormously-flared rear fenders from the hunkered-down driver's seat, the 2020 Corvette has a longer mirror stalk on the passenger side.
I was about the comment and say Chevrolet did that on purpose for the reason you stated.
Great info - thanks!
Great points, I'm looking at getting one right now. Thanks man!
Great video and nice car. Thank you for your time!
Very informative, thanks!
his dash stitching is wavy
I used a hoist system on my C6 to raise and lower the Targa Roof. In California we can drive for weeks with the top off without ever needing to haul the top around in the “trunk”. Garage it at night. Wet chamois wipe downs occasionally and vacuum = Good As New !
Thinking about getting one. your right to the point. awesome video.
Really good video...thanks!
Human user-manual, great overview thanks
Great video and very helpful! Great job!!
Badass car. Lot's of cool options I could think of for the radiator screen. Crazy they didn't address that. Fairly important.
Great stuff. Thanks.
Get some CarboTech 1521 brake pads. You'll love them. Just like OEM with 90% less dust... Nice job on the video!
Well done sir! Short and sweet.
great video ... I had not seen the details you showed us anywhere. Thanx
Black-out the wheels (rims), red on black trim will look amazing
Thank You for your Inputs here Panda
That launch is the best I've ever seen thanks man
Nice video, cool little things I knew nothing about. Was at the dealer today looking at one, might have to look a little harder next time. Subscribed..
GREAT video man all the dudes that have these haven't shown those features with the shifting especially. Sweet Vette.
I was surprised to discover that my 3LT does not have rain sensing wipers or intelligent cruise control.
This C8 Corvette is an excellent car. Very nice video. Many thanks.
Some great info there, thanks from Wales UK
