I always felt that the Consortium was way more powerful than the other races, and the empire was more powerful than the alliance. I'm speaking strictly for space battles. I barely play the land battles, but I have played a LOT of the space ones. Anyone else agree?
i agree with you on that one....anti sheild mass drivers were crazy strong in land and space...and i always picked empire because they made their own fighters that had hunt and didnt need management...maintaining a decent amount of fighters and controlling all of them is annoying in my opinion, specially since they drop like flies...only things the rebels really had was their missile corvettes and frigates

There is a great remaster mod. The guy basically redid all particle effect, all ship models and added some additional content to the game. Its in beta right now.

@Kabinator100 actually the death star cant be attacked it only moves into range of the planet and destroys the planet upon clicking the little switch in the fleet bar and actually i had a fleet of star destroyers and victory cruisers vs. y,x, and a wings and i prevailed you should try doing that :) if it doesnt work out then tell me

All the space battles i've played in swbf2 combined wouldn't hold a candle to this. and i've beaten noobs alone with 7 enemies, with a k/d of 128/21. this is too good, but its just a shame my stupid mac can't download this!!!!

I remember playing the rebel campaign and I saw that an empire fleet was moving towards Alderaan. I most of my forces to Alderaan and they all got obliterated -_-
can someone please help me? i have had this game for ages i love it :D... i play it on my sisters laptop and the computer.. but i have just bought my own laptop and it has win 7... when i start installing it, it gets to abou 70% installation then an error comes up :( idk whats wrong with it, its not the disk cos i installed it on pc before help?

@Miklannar It works on Windows 7, I would assume it works on Vista, if it doesn't then you can try Compatibility Mode.
