imagine having the option to view inside the bridge of a ship or the cockpit of a fighter, that would be epic. especially if the ships are in hyperspace and jump into the middle of a battle
In this particular battle, they're fighting in the atmosphere of Coruscant, so sound and smoke and all that is perfectly fine :)
As for many other battles in Star Wars...
Loving the dialogue in the background. Really great for setting the atmosphere of battle.

how did one gain access to this battle, because in the republic at war that I possede one can not place the venator on different heights
antho5pomp its a specific battle that happens in the scenario where the Republic defends for 45 days against a CIS invasion I kept my Tech restricted to 2 but the CIs had Tech 5 so this fight imagine the same CIS ships except only 1 Venetor class Star destroyers to fight them hardest fight of my life
There are 2 types of cinematic mode; one that randomly switches between units, and one that focuses on one unit that you can rotate around.
Exactly how i felt. Ive watched this more than 10 times in the last 3 days instead of watching the movie
When I look at this, I am just asking myself, why arn't there more games like this? This is one of the best games out there.

@NotSureIfGusta You will need a decent computer to play this. The game is called, "Star Wars: Empire at War" which was released back in 2006. You are gonna need the expansion to play this mod. The expansion is, "Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption".

Actually metal debris and other things will have air sticking to it, as soon as there's a whole in a ship air is vacuumed into space. Not to mention you're going off standard explosions, StarWars weaponry is either Ion or Plasma cannons, both of which burn with Oxygen. By your logic there could be no sun, because apparently you can't have fire in space. Just think about it for 5 minutes.
THAT PILOT HAD A MILLION GENETICALLY ALTERED BROTHERS! AND HIS LIFE WAS JUST... POOF!
The sounds can't be explained but I like to think of the fire as the ships atmosphere venting into space allowing for the fire to burn

2. u know how certain ships stay at certain levels e.g. fighters at the top and cruisers on the bottom. how is it spred like that

The Gold Pack for Empire at War contains both the original Empire at War and the expansion Forces of Corruption so thats all you need. Once your EaW FoC is installed, go to the Republic at War download site (moddb or something, just google), open the readme file, follow instructions and play the mod.

I hope we get a sequel to this game set during force awakens period, but also lets us use the republic, empire, and confederacy.
+Commando Delta of course wed only be able to use the others during a scrimmage due to continuity and time.
N1ghtwing Rebirth there is a mod that adds the republic to the base game and gives the Consortium all the CIS units and ships and with IG-88 at the helm it’s like the droid uprising from the EU the rebellion leads the reformed clone army vs the empire and there’s Sauls rebels that keep the rebel units and ships and Ackbar stays with them it’s pretty fun adds a lot of planets to the galactic conquest in steam workshop
should have began with the start of the battle, the enemy forces jumping out of hyperspace and the 2 fleets colliding into a hellish battle

@TheCelticChimp the laser may or may not make noise in the atmosphere but the actual firing of the shell would in atmosphere
just as intense as the REAL battle!

sorry but how do you get access to these battles? there is a guide that explains this somewhere, because I can't figure out what to do in Galactic mode to have these conflicts, or even the battles on Kashyyyn or the one on Kamino, can you help me?

so whenever a ship is destroyed it fell to the planet due to gravity. imagine this battle happened to earths orbit. there's a big chance that a star destroyer can fall in your backyard.

what find funny about star wars is is that there is no oxygen for fire in space, or air for sound waves to travel trough, so how did they have fire and laser sounds?

@DarthBobify Even though the game is old for PC standards the devs really upped the ante when creating the unit textures for this mod. They are heavily detailed as compared to the vanilla units. If you are running this game on the lowest settings and it still lags you may be out luck =/

It can be played. You have to download a patch that fixes errors with systems with more than 2 gigs of ram.

[Layer_Z_Adjust] The height of the item.

Oh and I didn't download it from Filefront, but I did notice a difference between the two files.
They can have a fire in a ship with air (if it contains oxygen), but it can't in space because their is no Oxygen and without it a fire or explosion is impossible. But yeah as you said it is a completely fictional game and universe and it would be boring if their was no sound or explosions.
to get this you need to play the GC with the smallest amount of planets and play as the republic

acccording to the top left the guy uised different units as different models allowing the venators to be put on varying planes
As far as I know, lasers wouldn't make any appreciable sounds in air either.

the reason there are fires and in space is do to the fact that its the genre scince-FICTION

The unit item is expanded into plurals, and each one's XML[Layer_Z_Adjust] is changed.
Is that Republic at War or another mod that's letting you rorate the camera like that while in cinematic mode?
your republic at war looks diffrent to mine not in graphics but in the way the republic vedators are shooting
You need Forces of Corruption (Gold Pack or Steam version) and thats it.

Guys, I have a graphical effect question about the Mod. I've successfully installed it and everything and it works. But what is bugging me is that from watching the video and seeing my game-play, I am not seeing that cool firing bloom effect from the Venator Class Ship's turbo laser turrets. I know this sound very dumb, but it was one of the things that drew me in to getting this mod XD SO yea, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
