Not any more! They all developed running issues after an just an hour or two of intermittent use and have been sent back! There seems to be a general fault with either a circuit board component or the motor failing. Who knows how many of this batch have this problem.
@The Event Horizon - Valebridge Model Railway it's quite an indepth forum and a lot of folk have just got their 92s, I am not an expert modeller despite having a growing electric traction fleet, so would only ever publish such things should I be knowledgeable to deal with the responses. I'm sure folk would be curious about your experiences
@@johnson_street_IEMD I will check out the forum later, thank you. I am no expert either but I know when something is wrong. If you would like to point people on the forum towards my RUclips video and the associated description I've posted, along with the responses of viewers, please be my guest. Regards Julian
They look and sound great! An RFD example is definitely on my want list. Though most likely will have to wait until they come onto the second hand market... £200+ per locomotive (which is pretty normal now) is pricing me out of this hobby. Though admittedly you can see where the money has gone.
Well, I can only recommend the ones that work reliably, if indeed there are any! Unfortunately all 3 of mine developed running issues (faulty motors I think) within a couple of hours and were returned. I've now kind of lost faith in them!...The retailer was worryingly cagey about the issue and in denial of the facts of my experience and in spite of many reports of problems across social media platforms!
@@theeventhorizon-valebridge9512 Oh dear thats a real pity. Maybe another reason to wait a while until they've sorted whetever the issues are! I hope they are able to come up with a solution as visually they are nice models.
@@soundseeker63 Not everyone seems to have had a problem but many people buy them and store them rather than run them. I am guessing the problems I experienced probably come down to component batches bought in at the Chinese factories which have been affected with poor quality control during manufacture. Maybe Covid affected supplies too, who knows!
Hearing all three humming away in sync is quite a haunting sound…
Happy new year to you and yours when it gets here. Stay safe.
Love it, its the synchro Olympics swim! 😄 . Excellent job
