Dentist has license revoked second time for 'negligent and dangerous' care

The Virginia Board of Dentistry revoked Dr. Derrick Broadaway’s license to practice dentistry in Virginia in May, calling him “a danger to the health and welfare of his patients and the public.” The revocation marked the second time the board had taken the rare action against Broadaway after voting to lift his 2014 revocation in 2019. This, despite public records documenting what the board characterized as the dentist's history of “negligent and dangerous patient care”- a history we began exposing and investigating 12 years ago.

I’m a patient of his he saved my life. I’ve had the same dentist for 20 years that performed an impacted extraction on me it got infected and I went to his office 5 days straight on the 5th day he prescribed amoxicillin bc I said I wasn’t leaving without an antibiotic. I showed up the next day at doctor Broadaway my jaw was infected he packed it with medicine and put me on a better antibiotic. He saved my life and I’m forever grateful to him.❤️

12 years under investigation with 2 suspensions of his medical license?
What an arrogant, incompetent & shady conman to patients, staff & vendors. A filthy, gross danger to the unsuspecting community. Why did this fraudster get a slap-on-the-wrist or total pass? Where's the agencies charged with the oversight of these dentists?
