I love this one and have used it as a pizza crust. I brush oil on the bottom and place on a pan , put on pizza sauce, cheese, peppers, pepperoni and mushrooms more cheese and bake at 400 degrees f for 10-15minutes or until it’s crispy on the bottom and edges . Excellent recipe
I made this bread first time. It came out very well. When I tried second time, I left the dough for 20min. It came out just like nan bread soft and fluffy. Fantastic recipe. Thank you.
After making the dough, cover it with a damp cloth and leave it for 15 mins. That makes it remains soft. If the dough gets dry, the flat breads will turn out a bit hard.
Ingredients: 1 cup (8oz/225g) full fat natural plain yogurt (or greek yogurt) Add enough yogurt to match the consistency in my video. You may not need the entire cup depending upon the type of yogurt and flour you use. 1 cup (5oz/142g) all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder Optional toppings 1/2 cup (4oz/115g) butter 2-3 cloves garlic finely minced parsley roughly chopped 1 pinch salt to taste
I’m here to update everyone. I made this earlier this evening. It was so delicious and easy😋🙌🏻. I did make different variations as I made some thicker. I cannot believe I never tried making it sooner. Again, the timing was so perfect that it’s making me literally crying on how fulfilling it is and how inexpensive it is during this hardship. You are so genuine and talented. I’m looking forward to more budget friendly and simple food during this time.
You can try Indian Flatbread i.e. chapati which is super instant to make and requires no yeast or proofing. It will not have bubbles and will be a thin tortilla like structure but believe me it is super soft and easy on tummy unlike yeast containing breads. Hope this info will be useful to you.🫓😊
Thank you Ma'am Gemma for being there, I'd learned a lot from you esp.making indulgent cakes, breads, donuts & many, many more. You are one of my inspiration in baking. Once again thank you so much, more power & GOD BLESS YOU MOREFULLY.
I’ve just made these after searching for a quick recipe, I only had 5 minutes to spare before I dish out , and I am seriously impressed I have never been able to master bread and they turned out amazing ❤️ thank you 🙏
Welcome to 2020... Bet you weren't expecting an influx of subs... Just found you, no wraps in store, items to make this in house... That's our tea sorted. Ps: love your accent, could listen for hours 💜💜💜
My husband is a foodie and I made these flatbreads . I added some spicy sticky chicken, coleslaw and wrapped it all up. He said he would be happy if he had paid for them :) they were so yum and very successful. Thank you BBB!
ohhh that's a really genius idea!! Simple, and quick!! Hey Gemma, since you like making bread, why don't you try making the "Lebanese Bread"? It's flat but it has a giant air bubble in the center that divide the bread into two pieces.
Hello Gemma! I love flatbread. I use it for sandwiches, with soup, but most of all when making burritos or soft tacos. I'm so excited for this recipe! I've been searching for a good healthy flatbread or a tortilla and none can be found! Everywhere I look there are so many unwanted ingredients. This recipe that you have come up with is so amazing! I love the fact that there are only three ingredients and that you added yogurt. I am a one who has a desire to bake bread. I think this is a perfect way for me to really start. I'm not sure of my pan, but I will look and get one as I have to get my yogurt. Thank you as always Gemma for not only giving us delicious recipes, but for being such a great teacher. Also, your recipes are so much fun. I will let you know how it went!❤💚❤
I hope my flatbread recipe comes in handy, Kelly! You can really use any good pan you have. Just make sure it's large enough for the dough. I hope you enjoy! :)
I’ve made this bread and it sooo good ..it’s the best thing I’ve ever had it light and satisfying you go girl ...This is the best I’ve try so far .. thank you for sharing
Wow! Made this flatbread for the first time this evening, and served it with a nice Frittata...It was amazing! I will be adding this to more meals in the future! Delicious!
Nice and easy recipe. This is definitely a must on my list to make, and with the buttered garlic and parsley added makes it more appetizing. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great recipe. It is the first time my flat bread turnout out so soft and pliable. They were a perfect compliment to our dinner and didn't last long. Thanks!
An excellent recipe! I did tweak it, but still the best flatbread I've ever made! I went for half gram-flour half bread flour, added garlic and coriander into the dough, and rested... Fried in a bit more butter, so was more of a paratha. So simple, so delicious. Thanks.
This is perfect! I’m going to try this for a flatbread pizza recipe. I had a broccoli pesto & goat cheese pizza a few months ago that I can’t seem to get off my mind so I’m going to try a recipe with this flatbread & see how it goes!
In many asian countries including india pakistan afghanistan nepal etc... People eat it on daily basis and three times a day... We dont add baking powder.. and just are love into it... And the way you made is known as PARATHA
@dirt Sapient, 🤣 No, rest easy I do not fly airplanes, maybe the CBD was a little strong that day, I may have been as high as a plane?.. Either way, you got a good chuckle outta me, ty
@Dirt Sapient I’m so sorry, I was making Liv’s 3 gluten free, coconut milk, almond flour, and tapioca starch!!! They r beautifully yummie, and no yogurt 😅
I made these, and they were easy and delicious!! Just be careful to clean your fry pan half way through because the butter starts to darken and kinda burns your bread after a while (unless you like the charred thing).
Just made these as vegan, with soy yoghurt, and olive to replace the butter. It needed a lot more flour but they are amazing and the family really loved them with extra spicy salsa, salad and minty bean burgers. Thank you for the recipe.
I really enjoy your no nonsense video's delivered with a really sunny disposition. Must be the Irish in you. Makes it very easy to listen to you. Liked and subbed.
Hi Gemma! I've been doing a 3 ingredient flatbread for a while for myself, but I only use flour, crushed garlic (for taste can be replaced by other experimental flavors) and water to make the batter. Then I cook it in a very warm pan with no oil or butter until brown patches on both sides. Just dry pan.:-)
Hi I have made this flat bread really nice used olive oil instead of garlic and butter thank you for this recipe by far better than any I have tried before
👍😍THANK YOU for the demo.🙏 You make it look so easy to do. I can’t wait to try to make a gluten free version. 👍Although known by another names, I love how so many cultures have this type of bread. 💞
Well,I've made these twice now,so easy an so tasty ! Dough a little bit pliable, but the bread is soft an very tasty.I shall experiment with Coriander and spices next time.Good recipe.
Hey Ambeta, don't worry, your English is quite good. The only tiny mistake is "are bean" should be "have been". I teach English as a Second Language and couldn't resist commenting. Hello to Greece from Kansas, U.S.
I tried this recipe yesterday and I love it very much. It's SUPER EASY and the measurement is really pretty up to me. So my utensils are just a spoon, a bowl and a pan. Easy to make, easy to clean up and easy to eat! I'll just eat this with youghurt next time.
I just made this for tikka chicken kebabs I only used about just over half of the Greek yogurt left it for about 10 minutes before rolling and cooking while I made salad, it’s amazing!!! Thank you so much 😊 I can’t believe how easy it is I will be making this many times 😬😬😬👍👍👍
I have flatbread s everyday, it's a staple for Indians. Well, if you like flatbreads, try And add a twist in it by stuffing it with cottage cheese, cheese , potato,or cauliflower . They all are amazing . It feels amazing to see ppl like you try out different cuisines and accept cultures so openly.
I'm TOTALLY gonna try this, like... it's sooo simple and I'll recommend it to my family. It's amazing for when you run out of bread! Thank you for all of the amazing recipes! There isn't another cooking RUclips channel better than this!! :D
Ingredients Ingrediants: 1- One cup (8oz/225g) full fat natural plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt) Add enough yogurt to match the consistency in the video. You may not need the entire cup depending upon the type of yogurt and flour you use. / 2- One cup (5oz/142g) all-purpose flour /3- Two teaspoons baking powder . Optional toppings: 1/2 cup (4oz/115g) butter 2-3 cloves garlic (finely minced) Some parsley (roughly chopped) 1 pinch salt (to taste) Instructions In a large bowl combine the flour and baking powder. Next, add in the yogurt and mix with a spatula until the yogurt has absorbed the flour. You will need to get in there with your hands to really bring the dough together. Please Note: Depending upon where you live and what flour you use, you may not need all of the yogurt. Start with the initial quantity of flour and add yogurt until you get the same consistency as I did in my video. You may not need all the yogurt so it's best to add it little by little. Once the dough is formed into a smooth ball, place it on a floured surface. Using a knife divide the dough into 6 (2oz) balls. Working with one ball of dough at a time, roll each one out to an 8 x 8 circle. Try to roll the dough as thin as possible as this will ensure the bread cooks evenly on both sides with nice air bubbles in between. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. While the skillet is heating melt together the butter, minced garlic, and salt in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Using a pastry brush, brush one side of the rolled dough with the garlic butter before placing it (garlic side down) into a hot skillet. Allow the bread to toast and bubble up cooking for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Once the bread is nice and toasty on each side remove from the heat sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley or herbs of your choice Repeat this process until all 6 flatbreads are cooked. Stack up on a plate or in a covered basket to keep warm. Store at room temperature for 3 days and reheat on the pan before use. Recipe Notes * You can replace the all-purpose flour with whole wheat, chickpea or other gluten free flours. I placed my whole stack of flatbreads in the freezer. I take them out, place them on the pan for roughly 1-2 minutes on each side to refresh and they are ready to use.
One great tip to make it rise without baking powder is to sprinkle dry flour on top after you apply oil on rolled dough. Then make 2 folds to form a triangle and roll again. Sprinkling dry flour helps create bubbles and layers.
It was 7 months ago, when I made a 'second' comment on this amazing recipe.Wel!,here's another one,I bought some garlic an coriander nan bread from the local store, sealed in a bag,to cook, sprinkle with water, bung under the grill for a bit, like so many others.Bland and tasteless cardboard ! Don't hesitate, this is so easy to make and so tasty, soft an pliable bread,to enjoy with whatever you want,an I just did. If Gemma ain't married, she could be ???
Emma thanks for the recipe! I just want to make you know, as well as other viewers that may be interested, that I didn't have plain yoghurt on hand so I used half a cup of cream cheese (spreadable cheese, Philadelphia cheese) and half a cup of semi- skimmed milk) and they turned out lovely!!! Super yummy!!
This is excellent. I have made this as shown in the video and I am very pleased. It is my new standard flat bread for cases when tortillas, roti, paratha, and even pita is called for. A great advantage is that they keep well in the refrigerator for at least a couple of days. Just reheat and they're as good as fresh.
Made the flatbread tonight with Greek salad, good paring. Had trouble getting the dough right, but it came together in the end. Thanks, enjoy your holiday.
Thank you for trying it out! Yogurts vary in consistency and flours don't absorb liquid the same. Note to hold back some liquid by using up to 3/4 (1/2 in this recipe) in one go and adjust it accordingly to get the same consistency with mine.
This is our paratha..and I mastered it at the age of 15..I guess in indian household the first thing we need to master is roti and paratha similarly in Western countries is bread.
wow wow wow wow darling!!! THIS IS SO FAB CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE IT!!! and....YOU are a delight ! YOU SHOULD HAVE YOUR OWN GLOBAL NETWORK...but then, you already do!!
Hello, just one quick question, when you put the flatbread onto the pan, can you then paint the other side of it with the garlic butter, to have the same look and taste on both sides?
Hi Bold Bakers! You can make flatbread right now with my easy recipe: bit.ly/3IngredientFlatbread. Let me know what you wrap up!
Gemma Stafford I'll be making chicken wraps 😋💕
Gemma Stafford I think I’ll attempt to make this tomorrow😊 Love your channel❤️
Gemma Stafford i'll wrap it with spicy chicken mince with salad dressed in yogurt and mayo😍
We cook flat bread on daily base. We call it Roti in Pakistan.
Use whole wheat flour and water that’s all, less calories, just knead for 5 minutes, gives fluffy light flat breads -2 ingredients 😋
Lockdown season, tried making it this morning. It was all good. My two girls are loving it. Thanks for your simple step by step guidance.
Thanks for being here!
Tried this today, it was yummy but hard to flatten it I did not put all the 1 cup yogurt
Great suggestion, Patsy!
Thanks for sharing! I want to have that for lunch... I'm so excited 😁😁😁
I was just wondering about that. Great idea!P
Patsy Ricker great tip
Do you have a picture I would love to see?
I made this bread first time. It came out very well. When I tried second time, I left the dough for 20min. It came out just like nan bread soft and fluffy. Fantastic recipe. Thank you.
Well done, Clydella!
I got busy after making the first two and left the dough sitting around and definitely they rest were more fluffy and had more bubbles.
After making the dough, cover it with a damp cloth and leave it for 15 mins. That makes it remains soft. If the dough gets dry, the flat breads will turn out a bit hard.
Letting it sit for a few minutes allows the flour to fully hydrate and stay soft after cooking.😊

Hey Gemma, since you like making bread, why don't you try making the "Lebanese Bread"? It's flat but it has a giant air bubble in the center that divide the bread into two pieces.

Christian Zeidan sounds like roti
Is it like puri?
Ooi Chuan Lim yes
Great challenge.

Tooties Nails thanks was wondering how sour cream would work
Hey, me too!
An excellent recipe! I did tweak it, but still the best flatbread I've ever made!
I went for half gram-flour half bread flour, added garlic and coriander into the dough, and rested...
Fried in a bit more butter, so was more of a paratha.
So simple, so delicious. Thanks.
Well done, Andrew. Thanks for being here.
Thank you so much..this ingredient make me so easy..my kids love this..
This is perfect! I’m going to try this for a flatbread pizza recipe. I had a broccoli pesto & goat cheese pizza a few months ago that I can’t seem to get off my mind so I’m going to try a recipe with this flatbread & see how it goes!
Thank you for that nice recipe. Bless you and your endeavors. I will add this 2 my saved recipes..
In many asian countries including india pakistan afghanistan nepal etc... People eat it on daily basis and three times a day... We dont add baking powder.. and just are love into it... And the way you made is known as PARATHA
That's great to hear! :)
We call it roti in Nepal 😊
But we don't use yogurt in it.
TRUE. just plain water works but yoghurt gives it great softness, so does baking powder i believe. gotta try it to comment. THANKS GEMMA
Bilal Adil æxa5
Actually my family doesn't add yoghurt in paratha. That's more of a naan thing
The yogurt was a real surprise, thought you were gonna add water. And the garlic butter, amazing. Going to make this for my family!! Thanks Gemma ❤️😘
What yogurt??? I watched his 3 times
@@izandmc7294 apparently not. Was quite clear lol. I hope you don't fly planes.
Im always here to help hah
Made these this evening. Very tasty! As easy as described!
It's nice to see that u r trying to make recipe easier for the beginners too. The flat bread is somewhat similar to naan.
I try to make all my recipes easy for beginners. I hope you enjoy!
Gemma Stafford yes I'll definitely give it a try for sure 👍
I made these, and they were easy and delicious!! Just be careful to clean your fry pan half way through because the butter starts to darken and kinda burns your bread after a while (unless you like the charred thing).
GreenFamily thanks for the helpful tip!!! the pan sure does get charred, especially on ceramic coated pans
Try using ghee, same butter flavor and color, but higher smoke point
Just made these as vegan, with soy yoghurt, and olive to replace the butter.
It needed a lot more flour but they are amazing and the family really loved them with extra spicy salsa, salad and minty bean burgers.
Thank you for the recipe.
That was my exact comment! It needs way more flour or way less yogurt!!
thanks for that.. looking for soy yoghurt now
I really enjoy your no nonsense video's delivered with a really sunny disposition. Must be the Irish in you. Makes it very easy to listen to you. Liked and subbed.
Thanks for being here!
Thank you for the recipe, but it would be so much easier to post the ingredients as your making it . 😉
Yes, my recipe is a bit of a twist so I hope you give it a go.
Absolutely scrumptious, delicious thank you
You are welcome, Lulu.

Hey Ambeta, don't worry, your English is quite good. The only tiny mistake is "are bean" should be "have been". I teach English as a Second Language and couldn't resist commenting. Hello to Greece from Kansas, U.S.
Your English is fairly good, do not worry, and you have a beautiful name!

Glad they enjoyed! Well done, you!
So glad that you uploaded, Gemma! This looks delicious. In India we call it as Paratha and is made in different flavours. Have a great day Gemma
Yes, it's similar for sure. I hope you give it a go!
Sure ;)
Made this tonight to go with my chicken sharwma. OMG easy. And my kids and husband loved it. THANK YOU!!
Awesome. Thanks. You make people happy.
I would add just butter and then toss it in some cinnamon and sugar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a dessert Flatbread:)
Nailed it, Eliza. You're a genius!!!
It works well with just two ingredients as well... Self rising flour and plain Greek yogurt. Thanks for the upload.
Yeah, but self-raising has baking powder and salt.
Well done!
That's what I call "smart Bread"!
Excellent !
This is called roti in India. It's made with whole wheat flour
That's right, Anitha. And you can always sub whole wheat flour here too: bit.ly/3IngredientFlatbread
In india It's called Garlic Naan.
Thank u Gemma for this Indian recipe...lots of love from India
Thank you Gemma... You are the best .
This is naan. But it needs to rest for about 20 minutes. Every dough needs rest after kneading.😁
Anitha Ramakrishnan no one gives a shyt dumfu*k stfu

Ingredients
Ingrediants: 1- One cup (8oz/225g) full fat natural plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt) Add enough yogurt to match the consistency in the video. You may not need the entire cup depending upon the type of yogurt and flour you use. / 2- One cup (5oz/142g) all-purpose flour /3- Two teaspoons baking powder .
Optional toppings:
1/2 cup (4oz/115g) butter
2-3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
Some parsley (roughly chopped)
1 pinch salt (to taste)
Instructions
In a large bowl combine the flour and baking powder.
Once the bread is nice and toasty on each side remove from the heat sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley or herbs of your choice
Repeat this process until all 6 flatbreads are cooked. Stack up on a plate or in a covered basket to keep warm. Store at room temperature for 3 days and reheat on the pan before use.
Recipe Notes
* You can replace the all-purpose flour with whole wheat, chickpea or other gluten free flours.
I placed my whole stack of flatbreads in the freezer. I take them out, place them on the pan for roughly 1-2 minutes on each side to refresh and they are ready to use.
Thanks so much for this! Will definitely try it!
@@annabellevenales5446 my pleasure! :)
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. This looks so delicious. I will be making this for my family.
Go ahead and give this a go!
One great tip to make it rise without baking powder is to sprinkle dry flour on top after you apply oil on rolled dough. Then make 2 folds to form a triangle and roll again. Sprinkling dry flour helps create bubbles and layers.
Thanks for your tips!
This looks amazing 😍 I’m sure going to try it soon
Amazing recipe Gemma....simplicity is the answer in today's world. It looks very tasty...thank you. Always so good. Love ya

If Gemma ain't married,she could be ???
I am happily married and expecting. Glad you enjoyed the recipe 😉
Thanks for sharing! You can make yogurt here www.biggerbolderbaking.com/how-to-make-yogurt/. Sour cream also works in this recipe.
I made these and it was amazing. Thank you 😊
Wow Super soft 👌👌👌👌👏👏👏👏thnx for sharing God bless u 😊
You got it!
Mine was abit crispy but very tastey
This is excellent. I have made this as shown in the video and I am very pleased. It is my new standard flat bread for cases when tortillas, roti, paratha, and even pita is called for. A great advantage is that they keep well in the refrigerator for at least a couple of days. Just reheat and they're as good as fresh.
Glad you enjoyed it! Well done to you, Rudy!
I like that you come up with ideas for different diets such gluten free!!!!
Thanks so much! It's important to be inclusive of all diets if possible, and I'll hopefully have even more variation soon!
You can also use it as pizza base. Greek yogurt and flour. Yummy 😋 I hate touching dough, though. Feels icky in my hands. 🙄
Mmmmmmm... Flatbread taste so good. That taste so delicious and crispy bread. Great dish. See u next time.
Thanks! Hopefully you give it a go!
Gemma Stafford Welcome. Have a wonderful day.

This is our paratha..and I mastered it at the age of 15..I guess in indian household the first thing we need to master is roti and paratha similarly in Western countries is bread.
Yes, it's definitely similar!

Really simple yet delicious recipe!
Well done to you, Al! Thank you for sharing.
Hello, just one quick question, when you put the flatbread onto the pan, can you then paint the other side of it with the garlic butter, to have the same look and taste on both sides?
You can but you might burn the other side when you flip it. If you manage that one side doesn't burn, then you can do that.
Bigger Bolder Baking : Wonderful, thank you. ☺️
OK, I have fallen in love with you ! haha. Your voice is hypnotic and so lovely that I forgot about the bread and had to watch it again.
Thanks a million.
Hi Gemma. Thanks for this. Worked really well as a really light pizza base too.
We call it Roti in India :) Loved it!!!!
