What are your thoughts on the performance of the 8G3 and 2400? Personally I think the 8G3 isn't performing as well as the 8G2 did when it first released in 2023... Update: There's a typo on the GeekBench 6 test for the S24 Ultra - it's average GPU should be "15093" not 10560 - it was a typo in my spreadsheet which @rajasankar390 picked up on (thanks)
S24U got better in the performance and stability compared to your previous test. I am looking forward to your regular tests that you always do after updates to see how software improvement can affect the result of S24U
Because it has 2x A710 cores which remains cool while efficient you can see chips with A710 cores they are most efficient and powerful 8 gen 2 has 1x prime X3 core 2x A715 Corse And 2x A710 cores With 3x A510 efficiency cores This is best generation core After the A77 A76 and A75 These were best ARM cores ever
Upgrading from the s22 ultra . I still use the s22 and tbh it's still a beast but the trade in offers where too good to turn down . And now I have seen this vid shows if you upgraded ever 2 years the boost is huge . Great vid!!
Thanks for the tests. Perfect as always :) Can you check if your S24U has noisy display in a plain gray background. Many including me reported this. Since you have S24+, you may do the same check with that too.
I think S24Ultra thermal throttles because for some strange reason, they are limiting the phone’s temperature on the Ultra models. For example the 24+ can go up to almost 50 degrees, but the ultra is limited to 42, I think to fix this they have to increase the limit to 50 degrees as well.
Quite possible - something they'll never admit if it's true though. Strange how the S24+ is allowed to get hotter though - unless they just know the Exynos 2400 needs to so it can perform better...
This has also been shown in Genshin Impact tests. It's not strange. They want the Exynos to perform the same as Snapdragon. Battery life of S24+ now is abysmal compared to S24U or even S23+. Since S24+ drains alot more battery now because of higher quality display(1440p). We need a direct comparison of s24+ snap vs exy. S24U needs tweaks/patches.
@@KasKade7 Yeah Exynos is a horrible chipset for battery life. S22 Ultra is horrible for me always had problems but during the night nicely getting a 20+% drain.
Thank you for the detailed video! Be interested in your thoughts on the performance profile. On the Exynos 2400 in light mode its said to save 38% battery draw while only costing 10% in performance. Not sure if you could test the temperature and battery difference in the different modes or if this wouldn't be possible. Cheers!
Interesting if those stats are true - that'd be massive for heavy battery users. The current battery test doesn't have that enabled but I might see if I can do another in the future. Thanks for watching!
Its interesting that i have watched over 10 videos about benchmarks of Exynos 2400 (S24+), and in all of them were temperatures very close to S24 Ultra 8G3 +/- 2 degrees. This is the first benchmark video where i see some heating issues. Im curious because im looking to buy one, and i want to be sure that Exynos 2400 dont have any major issues regarding heating issues, battery life or performance. Thanks :)
Something i noticed as i watch checking the battery on all the devices. The 2 Exynos Galaxys perform way worse signal wise compared to snapdragons. They also perform worse in general in battery too. Performance wise the new Exynos is actually not bad and 8gen3 seems to need some more updates to perform better, but the Snapdragon chips still have the edge overall to no ones surprise. Thanks for the video.
I think the phones are just connected to the 'emergency network' as they don't have SIMs in but it'd be interesting to do a signal test for sure. Performance-wise I think you're right 👍
i played in store with an s24 exynos i shuffled around through apps as i always do with these phones (did it with s20/s21/s22/s23) and now with the s24 exynos, I would say it was average. didn't got as hot as i expected, but it did started to get very warm after just opening all the apps on the phone in succession. I remember the s22 with exynos, damn, that was burning your hands doing that. s21 was also quite hot but maybe not as hot as s22. I myself have an s20 with snapdragon 865 (bought it from ebay, China) and it barely gets warm when i shuffle through apps, which is what i would expect from a phone... s23 is also quite good in this regard, similar to the behavior of s20 with snapdragon 865.
Yeah I was surprised how hot the S24 Plus has gotten in my tests so far. Obviously I'm pushing it hard in the tests but if it got warm in your hands in the shop just going through apps then it doesn't bode well - nice in the winter months but not going to be great in the summer...

We increased the peak brightness of the display, increased the performance of the CPU, GPU, added AI functions, and the battery life increased!? even the battery capacity remained 5000mAh, does this mean that Samsung has quietly lowered the performance somewhere???

It does feel very much like that sadly
Why aren't you testing Samsung S24s with Exynos chipsets? Only these S24 Ultra everywhere? I don't understand
The S24 Plus has the 2400 in it
Thanks, but I mean the test which cell phone stays on last and the rest goes off. @@AndroidAddicts
Ah yes, I've recorded a battery drain test which I will try and release today if possible!
@@AndroidAddicts
S24, S24 plus
Europe, Southeast Asian countries, South Korea :
Exynos 2400
American, Canada,
Latin American , China(HongKong,Macau included), Taiwan,Japanese, Australia, New Zealand :
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for Galaxy)
S24 Ultra: Only Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for Galaxy)
Can you tell that if someone is using s22 ultra snapdragon version should he upgrade to s24 ultra.
Nah man, unless you're a hard core gamer id say keep your s22 for another year or 2 at least
@@Zatob In another year or 2 the resale value of s22 ultra will be way less of what I am getting today.
The battery go down with Exynos
Bro I have a plan to buy s 24 +
Then you say it’s bad mobile ?
It's not bad by any means - just disappointing it couldn't last as long as the Ultra
S23 Ultra looks brighter then other phones again.
Might just be it is more in-focus (the S9 I'm using is softer around the edges). It definitely have the 'extra brightness' turned off in this one 😅👍
@@AndroidAddicts That's what I thought at previous video, it could be the light hitting it with different angle . It happened eventually 😄
S24 Ultra has a lower DCI P3 of just 83. It's a downgraded color screen. And NOBODY is talking about this except an Asian RUclipsr. And he is right.
Battery test. Benchmark really dosent matter
Currently being recorded as I type 😎👍 Should be out either Sunday/Monday
Standby Times are the most important imo.
What horrible battery life for Exynos 2400. Unforgivable.
Not the best that's for sure...
You do realize it is a completely different phone (24 Ultra Snap vs 24 Plus Exynos) in this test. Doesn't tell us anything. Completely different internal build, battery size, and vapor chamber.

Was the S24+ tested in native resolution or FHD+??
QHD
Нечестно с вашей стороны сравнивать S24 Ultra и S24+ , размеры и охлаждения разные , надо было всех S + серию
I saw other video that the EXYNOS 2400 is FPS THROTTLING, SNAPDRAGON 8GEN 3 is better and stable FPS in game play
That doesn't surprise me
S23 ultra is top
🏅
Bad idea including the not supported test...
Messes up the whole 'battery test'
Don't worry this isn't a battery test - I'm recording that video right now 👌
Exynos 2400 more stable
i got on my s24 ultra just 1839188 and u have almost 2 mil...
You're not too far behind by the sound of it, there are obviously other factors that determine your result - you can install an app from the Samsung Store called Good Guardians and then install the plugin called Thermal Guardian - this lets you increase the max temp of the CPU by +2C. You could give that a try and re-un your benchmark
My S24U got higher score than this guy in video. I hit 2076018 on Antutu test. My UFS 4.x result are 4158Mb/s read seq and 2711Mb/s write seq.
This blows my 14Pro Max from miles away😂😂.
Wow! Amazing score! 😮😎👍
Again with the wrong exynos policy... Lurking for a s24+ Qualcomm version.. It's impossible to get those in Europe. And AI? Free till 2025 than again tapping for money?.. Not appealing at all. Thank you for your work, this just confirmed my suspicion about the bad exynos processor.
stop avoiding Exynos, wait for the battery and long term performance reviews
....there are more than enough Qualcomm phones to get out there: the S-Ultra; Xiaomi; Sony; Honor; ZTE; Asus; Oppo; Vivo; One+! If they put it in everything then we might have a problem with exploding prices (S24(+) prices went down in EU in contrast to the Ultra model)... The AI feastures are coming in S22/ S23 and are not depending on the SOC... even if the processing is local!

Just a bit of trolling from Samsung
