This proved what my playgroup and I realized a long time ago, that if there isnt an early combo out, high power can absolutely take down a cedh table. They just need the game to get past turn 4 so thier slower value engines can take over
I've stayed away from CEDH because I personally am not a fan of infinite combos, but I still want to try and get into it one day. This is what I wish every game of CEDH looked like. Just a bunch of dudes chipping away at each other until someone wins. It was a very tense game with ALOT going on. This was my favorite video so far :)
As a Sisay main, I feel saving Selvala was the best option you had to responding to Path. I obviously don't know your list or your hand, but without dockside, or another bloom tender type dork available, you're losing your main mana loop option in that situation. With the mana left available while spells were still on the stack, there's nothing that you could've grabbed to start looping after resolutions. It felt like your best option available. Love the content!
That Queen Marchesa deck was completely wild for CEDH. Cool to see how much impact there was from Commander playables like Farewell or Deflecting Palm that you don't normally see in CEDH.
Okay this game is so freaking funny, I love seeing all the insane casual cards from Cameron putting in so much work. Take the Bait + Duelist Heritage and Selfless Squire + Duelist Heritage are both an absolute ttreatt
The missed Selvala trigger is why, even though I like collecting Japanese foils for my main deck, I still have an English foil Selvala. I know I would forget the trigger so many times.

Swing Talion on Cam. get a gold Flicker the Impskir and cross your fingers that Tyler draws interaction. your left with 5/5 sisay and Gold. You can also spin oko. and elk. Yuriko or Marchesa. Or just cross you fingers and spin Lotho. knowing that table MUST double spell at least 2x this turn cycle. This is proably the best cuz skyturtle likely keeps you alive depending on the plays coming up You had options. just none that would result in a win this turn. well timed swords by cam.
As a Sisay player, I'd never spin for Aminatou in that position. Lotho with a Bowmasters in play (and a Talion under you) is begging to die. If that was a Dismember, I would have gone for a Agatha Soul Cauldron, then tried going up the chain right there or waited. But bouncing the Selvala and replaying it, was probably the best way to go.
My LGS just had their cEDH tournament last night. 70 minute rounds, 5 full pods and almost each pod went to time/turns/draw each round. cEDH has become very midrange

Yuriko not playing the Mystical tutor is crazy. As a tourney Yuriko player this dude is wiffing some ez dubs. Plus the 2nd land drop on that turn was wild to see and nobody catching it.
Yeeeaaaaahhhhhhh, I have a friend who is a very adamant hater of all things Blue and Green, and he's gotten very good at these kinds of grindy Mardu Value Engine type of decks. Love the name of the deck, too, shout out to Phillips for putting together a banger.

What have I just watched? A popular EDH commander beating other cEDH decks' asses? A bunch of goofy cards and it turned out that they were just right to take the full point. Very nice.
Given the usual low turn count and how life can sometimes not matter I think Connections is a solid card here. +1 mana +1 card each turn is great value
Tyler might have misplayed here. He could have sent Imskir to the command zone and the delayed trigger never returns him. He would be at 1 post sheoldred. I don't know if it's enough.

That is the slowest imskir I've ever seen(I've only ever seen one other Imskir[mine]{it's turbo}). Only 29 artifacts feels super low, as I'm actively trying to make cuts for my 39th. Curse of Opulence I am considering now but it seems like it may be unreliable in decks with less than a dozen creatures and I'm worried it would just get politic'ed out, like @ 3:00. I would really like to hear what drove this Imskir list away from KCI loops & if Clown Car was ever considered.
