Many thanks, I've been looking for "dance on a pole" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Menincoln Feyria Method - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my cousin got cool success with it.
I've watched SO many videos trying to just get the basics (I am a super beginner) and none of them made sense to me. But finally I found your videos and the way you describe movements have helped! I could not figure out how to climb the pole but when you described pushing the pole down it just clicked. Thank you so much!!
So glad my videos and tips have helped you. There are so many skillsets and techniques to learn in pole and more importantly that will prevent injury and help you succeed. Check out my online studio! I offer a 14-day FREE trial :-) onlinestudio.angelamariefitness.com/
I love this I'm coming back to pole about 80 pounds heavier. Its been 7 years, so I'm trying to find pole conditioning that won't frustrating me since I'm starting from scratch again thanks for the workout.
I absolutely love these videos. I pole at home because I don't have access to a studio and I am always looking for new content to help my pole progression. Thank you for these videos
I could only keep up for 30 minutes lol I‘m a super beginner, I will try to get through it next time. I’m definitely not used to this, I had to stop several times to find out what I did wrong because my arms and legs were weirdly knitted around the pole 😂 I love your detailed explanations though, this is just what I needed. Much love from Germany ♥️
Thanks for giving it a try! These videos are for mixed-level polers that should have pole experience and are not really geared for beginner polers. I do have beginner classes available in my online studio. There is a 14-day free trial if you want to check it out :-) onlinestudio.angelamariefitness.com/
omg only watched 19 mins since I did some yoga before this. Its the best video ever for a beginner. Im gonna make sure I watch more videos like this its really helpful
Thank you so much for this. I really liked the way you broke down each move and added them on to the routine as we went. I'll definitely do it again to try and master it. Really love the progressions as well.
Lauren Pickford yes, the step over move is a little tricky at first, but take your time. It’s one of my favorite transitions. Let me know if you are still struggling.

i stumbled on this video right after finally taking in in person "intro to pole" class (after having installed a very neglected pole in the middle of my dining room a year ago). I did the workout, loved it, and bought your beginner classes ($100 for a whole series of 8 lessons!) I've been doing it every day and have looked forward to it EVERY DAY! thank you! I can feel myself getting stronger! I do have a question, I've got most of it down but on the pole stand i always slide down unless I really push with my foot on the back of the pole. I'm squeezing my thighs tight, I'm cleaning the pole, not using lotions or shaving my legs, even wiping my legs with the rubbing alcohol. Do I need to just build up my leg strength or could it be something else?
I am so happy you found me too! Work through the beginner course at your own pace and really master on lesson before you move on to the others. The strength for the pole stand comes from the inner thighs, but an internal rotation of the hips to really get the squeeze. It should not be from pressure or squeeze from the feet. Think more from above the knee and gentle on the feet. You will tear them up! I also do private coaching online so if you want more instruction, let me know :-) Emailing me is best.
Amazing! Thank you so much for this. Any tips on not sliding down a new pole? The move at 23:10 I can get up there fine but no matter how hard I squeeze my thighs I'm still slowly sliding down lol
Yes! To stay on the pole in this pose, you need more than just inner thigh squeeze... Think about squeezing the inner thighs with an internal rotation of the hips, drive the "standing" leg down the pole and pull the extended leg across the center line (think "scissor" the legs). The other key is to push the hips toward the pole to counter the weight of your body leaning back. Also, make sure your upper torso (not from the waist) is twisting as you reach in the direction of the extended leg. If your extended leg is pushing into the pole and your twist away from the pole, this will balance the push/pull to keep you in place. It is all about understanding the contact points, push/pull points, and weight balance in every move you do. Good luck!
First day on the pole for me! Will I get used to the thigh squeeze when off the ground? It reeeaaalllyyy hurts my inner thighs when I try to hold myself up.
I've been doing pole for two years now and while seats on the pole don't hurt anymore they aren't exactly comfortable? Your body will adjust though and it'll be a lot less noticeable and you'll stop bruising so much over time! xx
Hello I have a pole question.. I have a pole that I got many years ago but I was in the move of moving so its been sitting for a while... It also spin too.. I just put it up and I was trying to get it to spin again but it's really hard to spin freely.. I also have a really pole that don't pull apart.. What can I use on it??
I am not sure what brand pole you have, but if it is Xpole, they do have videos and info on these issues that may help. If your pole is not installed properly or overtightened, it can cause spin mode to malfunction. If the pole sections are stuck together, it is probably an issue with the x-joint (or if it's an older xpole, you may need to use a special tool to separate them). Good luck!
Covid has really jammed availability up, but I recommend a professional grade pole like Xpole. xpoleus.com/shop-all/poles/xpert-pro/xpert-pro-px/affiliate/AngelaMarieFitness/?campaign=XpolePro
Oh geez, idk...I would have to go back and listen to the whole video. I just usually have music playing in the background, nothing I am really paying attention to unless teaching a choreo class honestly.
Yes your body Eventually gets use to it and u won’t feel it anymore u just gotta rough it up and get use to it, u might bruise in the beginning but that’ll stop too
I wanted to love this, some parts I do. But man oh man, do you over complicate the hand positions. Especially for anyone with wrist or shoulder issues. I will probably still share with ppl, but definitely with that disclaimer. There's much simpler ways to complete that routine without so much stress on the wrists and hands.
Feedback always appreciated! As a personal trainer and pole instructor, I always keep form and safety as my top priority. This was a mixed-level pole fit class I did for my regular polers, and certainly was not intended for new/beginner polers or those with shoulder issues.

I pity the fool that follows these young ladies after class. It always had such a bad reputation, but this correct s truly an art and exercise that's more than a circus or sleazy way to earn money. Wow!
Started today ☺️ I'm just a little stuck around 15 min getting both legs up. I feel like I'm not using my arms or leaning properly. Excited to get further into it
I think you are talking about the pole abs/crunches. The key is having the knee/hip/shoulder in a straight line. To do so, push the hips forward so you don't have a bend at the hip once you are extended.
