Shin Megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse Boss Satan [APOCALYPSE] [ANARCHY]
First time playing through SMT4 series.
Sequel too SMT4 (sorta)
Streaming this as I play through it, but still will make a movie out of it.
Pre-ordered a 3ds built in capture card a while ago 2016 (February) from Keity, but it takes around 5 months for them to make/ship it (I received it July 8th). Originally I had a 3ds XL just for this game, but the screen on a handheld device was just way too annoying to play on, and I'm not a fan of that but now I can play 3ds games on a monitor/tv with a lot bigger screen and it's a lot better now.

That's the job of the arbiter. To test the power of those who stand before him. To see if they have the strength that rivals that of the fiery depths of hell and to see if you are worthy or not. That's who satan is originally in the old stories.

@@christopherbravo1813 The Old Testament story of Job, in which Satan puts hardships in his way to test his faith in God. I believe there are others in both the Old Testament and the Apocrypha, and the shift happened sometime after Christ's time.

i'm pretty sure the reason Satan did that was to drive Job away from God, not merely "testing his faith".
Are we gonna talk about how Asahi is level 81 and still only uses a Pixie with Dia on herself?
Asahi is probably one of those beginner Megaten players who got too attached with her early game demon, but is still too much of a novice to figure out custom-fusing low-tier demons to make an OP version.

I kinda prefer this satan to the original SMT satan. It’s is far cleaner and more pleasing to the eyes.

When Krishna levels up a lot of words in various languages came up. I can offer translation to those in Hebrew:
טיפול רפואי - Tipul Refu'i - medical care
איפור - Ipur - make up (as in face make up)
מלחמה - Milchama - war
Can any SMT expert make something out of that? Maybe they meant make up as in make peace?
I caught more words:
קללה - Klala - curse
אמת - Emet - truth
It might be "make up" as in "structure" (what something is made up of if you will)
I say that because I noticed the arabic word for "structure" in there
I can confirm that the arabic words say the same thing
الرعاية الطبية - medical care
حرب - war
بنية(؟) - to build
حقيقة - truth
Thinking about that:
Most games that you can fuse stuff to get Lucifer demand you to use Satan (the uglier purple one)
And then the "fusion" of Lucifer and Merkabath is... a Satan? wut
Depends on the roles of the myths in each game,if you think about persona then it stands to reason that Lucifer be the highest tier of Star as he is the morning star, associated in folklore with Venus, he is related to Satan in Latin translations of the Bible but not neccessarily the same entity in all denominations of Christianity.
SMTIV universe Lucifer and merkabah are opposing ideologies with Lucifer representative of chaos and freedom having fallen from grace in the contemporary understanding of the 'fallen angel' story and Merkabah representing God's Throne and the embodiment of Law, just like in Ezikiels visions
Satan is neither of these if Merkabah and Lucifer are the prosecution and defendant in a court then Satan is the ultimate judge who will determine which ideology is in the right, he says himself that breaking free and dethroning god is within accordance of 'The law'. In Hebrew mythology "Satan" is not a being but a job description, he is the accuser.

Why bother asking questions if he answers all the correct choices with "prove it by fighting me!"
Well this Satan is formed from Luicifer.
I assume he just does it to see if you’re confident.
I know I'm four years late but all the bosses did this. They would ask questions, and depending on your answer, they would either give you some kind of buff or debuff (or something related to the party gauge)

Question should I focus on magical classor physical class for the main protagonist.

Magical build is the most balanced, while i went for a mix of the two.
For twisted Tokyo, you would need a strong physical team up for the final boss tho. If you went for magic build you will find yourself in a pickle
Before Awakened Power, Magic.
After Awakened Power, Physical, why? Because after you get the Awakened Power passive, you can use Physical Attacks on anything and you can use accessories to improve your chances to smirk using a Multi-Hit Physical Attack (a charged Akasha Arts can deal a lot a damage) and after that you don't need to worry about weaknesses anymore because you will be getting Critical hits every turn.
Does fairy have tails? But won’t you have pierce with awakened power?
Physical/gun all the way, nanashi unique skill give pierce to physical skills, also the smirks and natural crits are good and dont forget the multi-hits skills like desperate hit

1:22 now I know who I would be in this universe. I always see the endings in these games as mere parts of a flux. Not as finals. Yet, that never stoped me from despising neutrality.
I'd really like to know all the dialogue responses, but I can't find any in YT.

Y’know, I always wondered if God or religion or whatever is real, what if God really is the bad guy and Satan/Lucifer are the REAL good ones haha. Then I learned SMT in a way has that idea and I was like WHAT!? I can’t wait to play Nocturne and SMTV.
It is tied to gnostic beliefes, where the God from the old testament is a different one from the new testament are different entities.
Basicly, the female version of the True God, Sophia, desired to create something of herself, and thus created the demiurge(greek. Demiurgos - Creator/crafter). But she was disgusted by his imperfection and cast him away. The Demiurge proceeds to create his own imperfect universe, and brings souls into in to live in his imperfection (basicly well... us). So the True God is the one in the new testament, while the demiurge is the one from the old testament.
It is even said that Satan was a loyal angel to the demiurge, but rebelled against him for his incompetence to mimic True Gods work. Like plato (i think it was him) said "Divinity cant take on mortal flesh".

@@harishramachandra1746 idk where to read but there is a video by a Persona/SMT youtuber called "Fither" who has made a small series about the demonology of some demons in SMT/Persona and one of those is about Yaldabaoth/Demiurge. there he explains the gnostic belief, which is imo an interesting perspective

Back in school when I was still fairly Christian (by fairly, I mean I was starting to have doubts about the Church's rules and how people see god, but I believed he exists and is doing stuff in the world), I remember people often asking teachers the question "Well why won't God just kill Satan"
I think during one of these questions I thought to myself "What if they're the same and God acts like Satan is someone else to mess around with people for fun"
As much as everyone doesn’t want to admit it, this is the canon route
I don't like Satan's voice as much as Lucifer and Merkabah's. I think it would've been cooler if his voice was simply L's voice with M's voice echoing.
Nah i strongly prefer the voice they gave him. It sounds authoritative in a way and relaxed in a way that is almost robotic. Fitting for his role as arbiter

also, Satan isn't God's second in command. he's God's *enemy.* he's called "Satan" for a reason.

not to mention, in SMTii, satan is a direct angel under god's command, depicted like the other angels up until he fired the megiddo ark which wipes out humanity UNDER god's command before he defies him

also also, I find it incredibly stupid that SMT 2 Satan was A. an angel and B. the guy who basically forced you to fight God despite picking the Law alignment. SMT 2 would be so much better if you could at least choose which one to fight.
